OlderBritney’s Breakdown — Tears and Possible Jail Time
From bad… to worse.
Britney Spears broke down into tears as she entered her lawyer’s office on Friday in Los Angeles.
“She pulled up in the car, and then suddenly tears started streaming down her face,” one eyewitness tells OK!.
Brit received news from the Los Angeles City Attorney that she was charged with one count of hit-and-run causing property damage and driving without a valid license.
“According to the DMV, Ms. Spears was never issued a California license – ever,” City Attorney’s spokesman Frank Mateljan told People.
This all stems from a fender-bender in a Los Angeles parking lot on August 6 (video here).
Brit faces a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail for each of the two misdemeanors. A hearing is set for October 10 in Van Nuys Superior Court.

I’m praying for some kind of sanity in her life tho before its too late..
Her life started spiraling downward when she got involved with kevin Federline. Her father never wanted her to marry him. Perhaps he saw this coming. I wish she wouldn’t got involved with him at all. he probably had this whole thing planned from the beginning and now he wants to sit back and play “Mr. Good Guy” and “Father of the Year,” i don’t think so. I would be willing to bet money that even got her into drugs/alcohol. Over half of the women in jail are there because of the influence of a man. It’s too bad that Brit’s family and friends weren’t able to stop her from marrying him.
#28, you are right. She needs help but I can’t help but wonder what has to happen before she realizes it and does something about it. It’s just one drama fest after another. Eventually it’s going to blow! I hope she does something soon before her kids have to pay the price for her mistakes.,

however we don’t really know the full story, yeah i’ve been in the mind were i wanted to slap this women not becuase i’m a hater because the things that she does trully irritates me as a fan. everyone keeps on saying she’s on self disturct mode, but people fail to see what actully put her in this mode in the first place, it could’nt be all her doing thats for sure. Yeah probably partial drug consumption and other involuntary substances and nonesensical actions and decisions but i really trully do think something distorted her. Mabey it was due to lack of self security and thus the desperation to be loved and married by a freekin low life which i firmly hold my beleif that, that fool called k-pillock is. I’m not trying to blame k-tool entirley because heck he didn’t even want to get married,but she was obviously let down by the fact this man didn’t hold her expectations and whom which i do beleive she greatly loved. That divorce really effed her up, it’s evident now that shes completley lost and unaware of what path to choose to get her life in order. Some people can say yeah she’s the one that alienated her family but even if she did that no one who holds un conditional love for any person would watch and see someone crash and burn. No restraining order would prevent me form knoking down her door, heck even bull dozing that **** down and demanding that she sorts her self out, thats what i can not get, so her family shoud really intevene and not wait untill she’s suicidal. they probably think that we should wait till she hits rock bottom, but heck we’ve seen rock bottom numerous times so i really think the core bottom is what she needs to hit inevitably. it will be drastic and something that she really needs to hit and hopefully her family will have their lame heads out of thier asses not just britneys and be there when she does hit core bottom as opposed to rock bottom becuase rock bottom obviously doesn’t hit through her stubborn scule.
Coming back to this site and seeing this picture again, I have to admit I feel just a teeny bit bad for her. BUT, and this is a big but, she did bring about everything that has been happening to her lately. She really only has herself to blame.
I do agree that Britney should take responsibility for what is going on in her life, but I also believe that it’s not all her fault. I definately agree with #130 when you say that her family should step in and try to help her. Once again, I blame Kevin for this. He helped to create the division between her and her family from the start, crumbling what was once her support system. I do believe that she truely loved him, fell for his wack verbal game by believing his lies, and really messed up by marrying and starting a family with him. I think she tried to create the man of her dreams out of a hot a$$ mess. Britney should have known that he was all talk because he left Shar Jackson when she was pregnant with his second child. I sincerely hope that Britney gets the support she needs and gets her life together. The only way to do that is to step out of the media and eye of the camera for a minute. I would hate to be in her shoes because she probably never has a peaceful moment to herself. She needs time to reflect and it’s hard to do that with everything being thrown in your face all the time.
She is a total train wreck. She needs mental help ASAP - not jail! Where are her parents for Peet’s sake? They certainly were there when the money started pouring in about 10 years ago. Now they have a new cash machine – Brit’s sis.
I do not feel sorry for this woman because she just cared about her car. It’s all her fault! No one told her to be acting crazy and blame it on other people. Good bye Britney you are the one that is responsible for killing your career. You succeeded in killing it!!!!!

The thing with her is that she sees how incredibly screwed up things are for her, and she keeps doing it. She’s this close to losing her kids, but then she goes and parties all night. Not very smart.
TMZ.com have other pictures of her not crying. Why only use those pictures? Also Britney will not serve any jail time because this is her first offense.
i hope she doesnt have to actually stay the whole 6 months. her life is already miserable. paris didnt stay the whole time and neither did nicole. so i hope britney doesnt serve the whole time. she doesnt deserve that much time in jail.

I can’t believe she never got her Calif. license, how long has she been driving around LA? I see how it is, celebrities don’t need no driver license now ha? she should have been in jail long ago. ughhhhhhhhhhh.

This girl has been in self-destruct mode for years… if she doesn’t get a grip and get some real help soon I doubt that she’ll make it to 30. I hate to say that but I’m afraid it’s the truth.

Brit will never kill herself. She is waaaaaay to selfish. Her whole life is me, me ,me. She hit a car and only checked to see if it damaged HER bumper. She always has a drink in HER hand but how often do her kids have one? She almost let SPF fall but she didn’t drop HER drink. She’ll do anything for the spotlight. If Lindsey or Paris is hogging the spotlight Brit simply takes her kids to Vegas. Who cares if they get in the middle of the paps? It’s all about Brit.

Jenn, you IDIOT, what are parking MANAGERS for? I bet the parking lot was attached to a building. She could’ve also send any of her staff members inside the building to try and find the owner of the other vehicle, or she could’ve left, for the confidentialty reasons you are concerned with, a staff member’s phone mumber instead of hers. So, you see, if she had WANTED TO, she could’ve avoided the whole situation. Now we not only know she is a BIG JERK, we just found out she has been driving without a license for God knows how long. Sad thing for her is: so did the judge in her custody battle.
it seems everything going down for her….everything she did, everywhere she goes things just go from bad to worst.and with all the media coverage it is no a pretty pic at all….pity her a lot.
but i do feel she need help…
depression is not something u can deal without help….seek for help fast….
hope she’ll regain her composure….i was never her fans but everyone deserve to be happy
