OlderBritney’s Breakdown — Tears and Possible Jail Time
From bad… to worse.
Britney Spears broke down into tears as she entered her lawyer’s office on Friday in Los Angeles.
“She pulled up in the car, and then suddenly tears started streaming down her face,” one eyewitness tells OK!.
Brit received news from the Los Angeles City Attorney that she was charged with one count of hit-and-run causing property damage and driving without a valid license.
“According to the DMV, Ms. Spears was never issued a California license – ever,” City Attorney’s spokesman Frank Mateljan told People.
This all stems from a fender-bender in a Los Angeles parking lot on August 6 (video here).
Brit faces a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail for each of the two misdemeanors. A hearing is set for October 10 in Van Nuys Superior Court.

HAHA, she just hit another car and after she was sure that her own car was OK she just went away. Let the other owner pay with his/her own money for the damage. This girl is selfish and she is not responsible. The most of her fans who cannot find an ecxuse for her acts are just saying: LEAVE HER ALONE ! No one will leave her alone as long as she is doing stupid things. She is a golden mine for the paparazzi, like here hitting another car, or walking in public without underwear. And she really needs some professional help.
11 Jenn: she didnt have to leave her number, like duh! but she could call the cops, or take the lincese plate of ther car and go to a police station, as simple as that, it doesnt requires to be a genius to do something so simple
Anyone else would probably just get a fine or a ticket…..no Britney has all the bad luck in the word. Somebody give her a break! She doesn’t deserve whats happening to her
It’s not surprising that a little girl who was used by adults to make a fortune acting the role of a child porn star should be having problems making the transition to adulthood. She was never that beautiful or talented. Our own prurient interest in her 15-year-old self (and her willingness to pander to it) is at the root of her current problems.
Still, my sympathy is limited. Half the world goes to sleep hungry each night. In the final analysis, Britney Spears does not deserve the enormous attention she gets.
Wow i cant believe the **** that has happened to her.. She was sitting on top of the world and now everyone is just leaving her stranded and just not giving a damn…. I have to say… i know how it is to be a parent my son is going to be 3.. its hard especially when u are doing it alone. I feel bad for her. Where the hell are the friends she had? Where the hell are her parents? COME ON couldnt the judge give the kids to her parents not that coke snorting ***** of an ex husband? No parent is perfect and if u think about it alot of people do worse things… she is going through so much **** in her life at once. Right now she needs to be left alone and to be able to find herself. I wish in some way this would reach her but it wont… I feel so bad for her.. u all need to leave the girl alone.. i mean look at all the other parents out there doing some unspeakable **** to kids and they are never in the eye of the camera as much as she has been!!! give her some damn time!!!
