OlderEric Bana @ ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife’ Set
Here are the very first exclusive pictures of costars Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams together, heating up the downtown Toronto set of The Time Traveler’s Wife on Monday in Canada.
Based on the premise of Audrey Niffenegger’s 2003 fantasy love story of the same title, Chicago librarian Henry De Tamble (Bana) has a genetic disorder that causes him to time travel when he is stressed. Though he disappears often for long periods of time, he tries to build a romantic relationship with an heiress Clare Abshire (McAdams). Ron Livingston (Standoff) and Jane McLean are also said to star in the film.
The Time Travelers Wife will be directed by Robert Schwentke (Flightplan starring Jodie Foster’s ) and opens in 2008. The movie is being produced by New Line Cinema and Plan B Films, Brad Pitt’s production company.

Ooooh, one of my favorite books. Am so glad that they are finally making this into a movie, with the talented and lovely Rachel McAdams as the TT’s wife. Also like Eric Bana, so to me this is a must-see movie.
This should be very, very good. Brad Pitt’s production company — they always do an outstanding job.

I love the book so this cast kills me. Bana is just…I wish they could’ve gotten Christian Bale. And Rachel McAdams lacks depth as an actress and should stick to B grade films.

Lola- Yeah, that’s great- the critics have dug her in her roles thus far. And for most of Julia Roberts’ career she was critically acclaimed, but that doesn’t mean JR ever showed depth as an actress either. RM has handled light roles with most of her films bordering on camp. She’d make a swell comedic actress or the heir to JR’s throne but she ain’t the second coming of Cate Blanchett. She’s crtainly capable and will probably compliment Bana nicely, but that doesn’t make her a great actress nor does it mean I have to like her.
As to who I would’ve chosen, I haven’t a clue. Sometimes I think of Sarah Polley but she often annoys me. Other times I want a Kelly McDonald or a Rachel Weisz. Honestly, I think it will be very difficult to view this film and the cast objectively. Just like with Atonement.

She has a great smile and in my opinion, is a good actress.
She’s a very talented actress.
Rachel has figure skating legs from her past. Look at most skaters and dancers and their legs tend to be bigger from muscle. Stop judging her-she’s beautiful!

I loved her in “The Notebook”. She has such beautiful skin. As for Eric Bana…what a beautiful, beautiful body. What I wouldn’t give to kiss that man or to just wrap my arms around him. Loved him in “Troy”…especially in the scene when he kissed his wife. His hands were so manly and strong and protective. Can you all tell I am just gaga gaga over him??!!
The character in the book is NOT an heiress. Her family has a lot of money and a famous house, but her vocation is more as a paper artist.
