OlderRosie: ‘The View’ Sucks Without Me
Former talk show co-host Rosie O’Donnell slams The View for saying that ratings are up +16% versus YAG.
FYI: YAG stands for “Year At a Glance”, an annual schedule of implementation initiatives.
Here is Rosie’s blog entry, which is titled “TRUTH IN ADVERTISING, BABY”. Leave your thought in the comments — does Rosie prove her point?

“While im all about creative use of ratings, I think we need to do something with the lovely people at the view insisting that the ratings are up without rosie when in fact they are not…
Here is the real data based on live plus same day viewing:
P2+ 3,576 + 7.8%
HH 2.8 rating versus 2.66 YAG + 5.3%
W 18- 49 1.47 versus 1.6 YAG - 8.8%
W 25-54 1.77 versus 1.92 YAG - 8.5%
W 18-34 1.03 versus 1.23 YAG - 19.4%
W 50+ 2.3 versus 2.13 YAG + 8.0 %
Note that the show is bought from an advertising perspective which is their only revenue stream on either the W 18-49 or 25-54 demo meaning they are LOSING revenue versus YAG. Also, the most valuable demo is the younger one 18-34 which is really hemmoraging. They are picking up older viewers 50+ which are of less value to advertisers.
Again - they should really use the ACTUAL REAL numbers in their press statements and if they don’t, then maybe we should…..

if you look at the blog, you’ll see she didn’t write it. she just pasted it.
and, what the hell is wrong with being ANGRY? if you all were paying attention, you’d be angry, too.
still, if you read her blog, which is her voice unfiltered, unfettered, you’d see that she has pretty much the normal range of emotions, including anger, joy, introspection, sadness, etc.–despite the fact that all the media post are pictures of her with her mouth open and snarling, like that would be hard to catch with anyone in the news.
oh, and why isn’t anyone posting about how angry donald trump seems to be? or how sadly barbara walters makes not-so-subtle references to rosie while she stifles (BW) her obvious anger. yet, rosie still loves her unconditionally.
hmmm.
She has major issues. She’s obsessed with not being there now. She misses the attention and the platform for her craziness.
I think she is going to go over the edge the longer it goes that nobody feeds her with comments or pays attention to her. She cant’deal with it.
Didn’t she quit? What difference should it make to her what their ratings are? I think she quit because she hoped their ratings would tank without her. And now she sees that they didn’t and she’s upset. What a pain in the a**

That blog post was not written by Rosie. She never claimed the View sucks without her. Read the info before you make false claims; she posted the article in her blog. Rosie did not make that comment. Truth and facts in Journalism are the number one lessons you learn. This comment is not for or against Rosie; it is about stating the facts. Step right up all you rosie haters; makes yourselves look like further idiots by bashing me, when I never stated my personal opinion about her. C’mon, you have nothing better to do with your time now do you?

I stopped watching it when Ro was on. She was SO full of hate and SUPER bitter.
I have it on TiVo now and watch it everyday. I love Whoopi as the mod. She doesn’t need to be funny. That is not her call right now.

@ #12, Whoopie is not supposed to be funny. That would be taking away from Joy and Sherri. Whoopie is the moderator. She is supposed to keep the discussions op point and basically make sense.
That was Rosie’s job, but Rosie always got in a fight with Dumbo Elizabeth.
Notice that now everyone gets to give their opinion. I enjoyed Friday’s show.. Sherri is hilarious. She makes good fun of herself!

People need to realize that Bush isn’t solely responsible for Gay marriage being illegal. Heck, only one major Democratic candidate is actually for it, and that’s not Obama or Clinton, for those of you who were wondering.
Gay or not, when Rosie was on the view it wasn’t women from different walks of life sharing opinions. It was women who agreed with Rosie sharing opinions and anyone else (IE Elisabeth H.) being told that they need to let other people talk, and not actually being allowed to express their own ideas.
Whoopie has said some ridiculous crap (Michael Vick, south, blah blah) but she is a democrat who is willing to let Elisabeth be heard, and I respect that. Liberal, conservative, each side has its good guys and bad guys. The bad guys are the ones who won’t even let the other opinion be heard. That’s Rosie. If you don’t agree with her you are evil and wrong and you don’t get your freedom of speech.
I’m glad Rosie’s off the view, and the 50+ audience is too. I’ve got some news for her, I’m a 21 year old woman. I’m the perfect target demographic. My mother is 55 and “of less value to advertisers.” Guess who spends a ton more money?
And if Rosie posted the article link in her blog, and she didn’t criticize it, I take that as meaning she agrees with it. She might as well have written it as far as her opinions go.
The View sucks with OR without her.
Could she be more bitter??? The View (no matter what the ratings) is so much better than when she was there. Whoopie is so much more polite and can express her views without belittling anyone else’s views. Lizzie is more tolerable (even if I’ll never agree with her politics - although I don’t accept Joy’s either). Sherrie may not be very bright - but she’s a happy person and it is contagious.
Rosie was a bitter drag who didn’t want anyone to disagree with her.
I’m so glad she’s gone. Now if she’d just go play on the freeway.
her bitterness is seriously going to impact her lifespan. obesity and bitterness is not a good mix. i wish she could find something to be happy about. she was so awesome when she put out positive energy. the world embraced her. years ago, she had the best talk show and i looked forward to seeing her on tv. how times have changed. her bitter agenda is just annoying. yuck.
One more thing!! How could she have ever been called the Queen of Nice?????

Looking at this makes me feel like I’m flunking math all over again.
I liked the show with Rosie. I like Sheri Shepard on her own but on The View, she’s boring. I like Whoopi but again, not on show. I don’t think the women have the same chemistry as with Rosie. I think Babs should’ve hired Kathy Griffin.
Anyway, I don’t like her.

Rosie O Donnell is obviously a very depressed and unhappy woman. I mean this dizzy ***** has negative things to say about anybody. I wish this ***** would return to the pasture.
I can’t stand Rosie anymore, just the sight of her face turns me off. She is constantly ragging on people and she thinks her opinion is the only right one. I don’t always disagree with what she is saying, but she has no manners and she is repulsive.
This woman really needs to see a psychiatrist.
Obviously someone with access to the real numbers wrote her. It should be a pretty trustworthy source or she wouldn’t bother to post it. Since The View is spinning it as the ratings are improving on Rosie’s tenure, it’s inevitable that someone will research the real numbers to verify.
