Zac Efron is a Video Game Master
Zac Efron adds some excitement to release of the XBox 360 “Halo 3” video game on Monday at Universal City’s GameStop store by handing out copies of the game to first buyers.
The High School Musical star posed with fans and even the Master Chief (”a genetically enchanced cyborg supersoldier”) from Halo itself. Zac was also interviewed by Entertainment Tonight, where he was asked about Vanessa Hudgens. Watch the video below!

First of all, V & Z are NOT joined at the hip! I think it is safe to say they do have separate lives. They are two separate people. Maybe she was out with Ashley???!!! JJ even said it was unlikely she would be there.
Lisa #26, you are right in that if V had shown up, it would have overshadowed the purpose of him being there. Even though she has said she loves video games, the event should NOT have been made to be about them. I think they should be very careful as to when or if they are seen in public. That is not necessarily a bad thing considering they probably need alone time together right now. I think too many people are too involved in their relationship (fans and media). I love seeing them together but not at the detriment to their relationship. If the paps constant attention is stressing them and their relationship, I would rather not see another photo of “Zanessa” - especially if it meant they were happy together.
Back to the event - Zac looks like he is having a great time - he probably played that game all night when he got home!
it was a zac efron appearance… not a high school musical.. or vanessa.. or ‘zanessa’ appearance.. so vanessa had no reason to be there.
i personally think they ae no longer together….that makes more sense than assuming that they still are.

FYI Not sure if this is relevant to Zac and Vanessa, but I have a cousin who works for Disney in Orlando and he was told in his interview, that Disney does not like employees dating. They frown upon it because it could make for awkwardness in the work place. If anyone does date, they keep it on the down low.

I am a fan of both separately and it drives me nuts to have them lumped into one category “Zanessa”. Why should couples have to account for one another when they are by themselves or have to justify the existence of the relationship? I hope they are doing well and can get some normalcy back into their relationship (what little they had).
Love the video, Jared. Could this guy BE any more gracious? Mama raised him right. But I’m a bit surprised at the “no more musicals after High School Musical” stance….he’s said before that he hopes musicals make a comeback and he’d love to be in them forever.
I’m beginning to think Zac likes seeing the press squirm when they ask him about Vanessa. He probably knows that until they get him to Talk about his relationships they’ll keep hounding him, but he manages to keep the conversation on his professional life and thus get publicity, professional credit (Studios love actors that keep interviews about projects) and this air of mystery without actually doing anything when not doing his movies.
He’s great with interviews better than a lot of actors I’ve seen.

i think zac was talking about the fact that he doesn’t want to do an album. he has stated that in the past, because he doesn’t want to just record someone else’s songs.

I do understand he tries to stay professional, but most of the time a personal side of the actor is revealed. People want to know about their celebrities and love when they find out they’re just like anyone else and that includes acknowledging your g-friend.
As for the Disney thing, I think it would be really hard for them to do a HSM 3 if these two broke up, that would be awkward, but they have been togather for a while now so whatever.

There was an assumption made in one of the blogs that Perez Hilton has a crush on Zac that’s why he is trying to “brand” Zac as gay so he can pursue him. In fact, right now, he is trying his best to pursue Zac.Even to a point of trying to break up V and Z. Remember, he leaked the photos.
#68, I think Disney wants to do everything it can to keep them together…at least until the HSM3 is in the theaters and promotion is complete. Fans, especially younger ones, blend Z and V’s relationship into their on-screen one - that sells the movie. It is obvious they are attracted to each other in the first film and that attraction continues along with the added comfort they have with each other in the second. They sell the relationship. That is why Disney won’t replace V unless they have absolutely no choice.
As far as his silence goes, it’s the same old thing he has always done. He flat out denies any other possible relationship but only with V, “I don’t like to talk about my personal life”. I have just gotten used to hearing that…it would knock me out of my chair if he actually answered the question - that would be when I would start to worry.
So basically, Zac is saying Vanessa IS his personal life….and he even blushes when her name is mentioned….How cute!!!

I agree with V + Z fan; they are not joined at the hip, and it’s healthy not to be. They both have careers and their own committments. Vanessa was always careful to stay out of the limelight during all the Hairspray events, cause those were HIS moments to shine. Part of a good relationship is knowing when to step back and just be supportive. They are probably each other’s biggest fans!!

I have a question? about the ring i heard Zac said that the ring was from a friend (girl), But didn’t say if it was from V or not. Rumor has it that he stated in one of his interviews that he promised this friend he would wear the ring for her. I’m serious about my last post. if anybody in the industry reads this blog, take notes trust me you’ll get a good interview from Efron if you do.

Halo is mostly a guy thing, (I know there are a lot of Girls who Play halo but the audiance is mostly male,) Somthing that Zac was probably more into than Vanessa. Zac went to have a good time obsessing about Video Games, He might have invited Vanessa and she decided not to Go. I think this is Good on the Zac PR because it helps show he is in fact Male.
It’s sooooo great to see Zac smiling and having fun! Love the jacket!
But I REALLY hope that he doesn’t end up doing HSM3 - he is way to good for it, and really has the potential to go far. If he does sign on, I just believe it will be out of some kind of loyalty (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing) or guilt or money but not out of genuine passion for the project.

I think Zac might have answered the How’s Vanessa question, but the interviewer went one step further by asking how’s “it” going, (meaning the relationship)? That’s when he made his standard reply of not talking about his personal life.
I know people think he would be left alone if he just answered the questions, but remember the saying ” give them an inch they will take a mile”. The more he tells, the more they will want to know.
I find comforting to find someone so young who sticks to what they believe in.
