Angelina Jolie announces a significant $148 million initiative to help educate children in conflict areas at the Clinton Global Initiative on Wednesday in New York City — the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.
“Education can transform the lives of children in conflict, giving them the tools to create a better future for their families and their nations,” explained Angie, who co-chairs the Education Partnership with Gene Sperling, Director of the Center for Universal Education at the Council on Foreign Relations. “This Partnership is putting words into action,” Angie explained, “and demonstrating that even in the most difficult circumstances, every child can and should have a chance to learn.”
The Education Partnership for Children of Conflict will include:
– 18 Commitments from 19 World Renowned Organizations and Individuals in 15 Countries
– Commitments to improve educational opportunities for 1+ million conflict-affected children including (1) 350,000 out-of-school children in conflict-affected regions to be given an opportunity to attend school and (2) Improve the learning environment, safety, materials and teacher quality of another 690,0000 children in conflict affected regions
– The commitments will assist 200,000 Iraqi refugee children and aid than 300,000 children affected by the Darfur genocide.

Well at least she is doing something good with her fame. Her face looks very beautiful, the only thing that it’s not very flattering; it’s her hair, it’s messy! But besides that, she looks very beautiful!!

Why become as shallow as the trolls. We can close are eyes and hear Angelina’s words and she becomes 1000 times more beautiful than the next person.

Angelina is so refreshing! so unlike other celebrities who drown themselves in make up for an appearance. I think she has found her inner peace and strength and thats the glow we are seeing.

wonderful day indeed for us j-p fans. i have only seen brad’s speech but not angie’s but reading from your posts, especially guli’s (do i really need to prepare a hanky? ;) ), i am really proud of them, proud that I’m their fan, & proud of our cyber community.
I want to add my opinion. She is a goddess. Thanks AJ. You are truly an inspirational. Keep up the good work. We AJ fans are behind you 100%.
One of the reasons… Haters keep saying that Angelina looks old; it’s because Angelina has NOT have many flaws in her face. Yes, she has a very beautiful face, so saying that she looks “old” or whatever… it’s the only thing that Haters can came out to attack this woman, who has a flawless face! But lets be honest… Angelina don’t looks old! That statement is ridiculous!
And this coming from a person who is NOT even a fan of hers (neither i’m a fan of Brad or Jen) but i’m telling the truth!
So yeah, Angelina looks very good in this pics, but the only thing that it’s NOT good; it’s her messy hair!

i wouldn’t be surprised if she were up for a NObel Peace Prize one of these days. She is an amazing, beautiful lady, both inside and out.

I am certain most of you have seen the movie Gladiator? Remember the first scene wjen they lining up to fight the Germans? Marcus Maximus says to his generals about the Germans, “Some people don’t know when they are defeated.” This can be said about the trolls. They don’t know when they are defeated. This people are so above the petty name calling the trolls do and the lies printed by the tabs. Calling her skinny, old looking, and whatever other childish name the trolls think will get a rise out of us is so petty and small mined. Brad is helping to rebuild a city. Angie is helping to save lives. There are bigger goals in their lives than pleasing the tabs and people they don’t know. The saddness is that some people will only hate them more. Not everyone, because we have seen that there are plenty of people who love them. But small minded and insecure people who either can’t exploit them, or don’t have the descipline to try and change their miserable lives to be like them. May Allah bless them and keep them strong. Peace they have peace in their lives and love in their hearts. Peace.
The AJ is old and haggard stuff is just the FFers losing their stuff because AJ is in the spotlight today. They are over posting enlarged shots that are unflattering. Ignore them!
