We just watched The Brave One with Jodie Foster last night and boy, even though I love her, closeups revealed a lot…her skin came out pretty bad with whiteheads. Lots of bumps on her face and her lips have receded. Plenty of vertical lines on top of her lip like a septuagenarian. She’s still lovely though (even if she is a hitter for the other side). Pitbull Lies: No Dog For Brad Pitt & Angelina

Contrary to a report on celebrity gossip website TMZ, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have not adopted a pit bull puppy dog.

The barely-newsworthy story, in which the writer accuses the couple of bad parenting, appeared on TMZ on Tuesday (September 25), and reported that the family had added a pit bull dog called Lennie to its growing brood.

The story alleges that TMZ “caught Brad in New York with Lennie, the Jolie-Pitt’s brand new, white pit bull puppy. While the dog is certainly a cutie, adopting a juvenile pup may not be ideal for homes with young children… What on earth are they thinking?”

TheCelebrityTruth.com contacted Pitt’s representative, Cindy Guagenti, who confirmed that the story is “completely not true”.

“It maybe a new puppy his makeup artist just got,” Guagenti says, “and if so, it’s not an American Pitbull.”

Hi CHQT. How are you? Meant to tell you I finally got to watch CTV when I was in Montreal. I couldn’t watch the weekend of Brad’s premiere though. But I did see a footage with Lainey. I saw mostly Mulroney’s son, and his co-host (last name Kim?). I loved Montreal for the farmers’ market, and mostly for all the bilingual libraries and bookstores (I am not a clothes shopper). I felt like in heaven. Quebec City is my favorite though. It reminds me so much of the French region of Brittany. Such a beautiful city. I am quite amused by the Quebecois’ French. I didn’t understand a thing of what they said. I understood their French when spoken on TV though.

Angie was already an A list before meeting Brad, she get 10 or 12 million in MMS, she was the most sought after celebrities after Depp in IMDB ratings for 2 consecutive years before meeting Brad.
She slow down her career after hooking up with Brad, at the peak of her career . After the blockbuster MMS , she was so hot but still she decided to get pregnant and gave Brad’s a baby, that’s a career suicide for any actress ! ask JLo, Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock or Aniston ! No A list actress are willing to stop for a yr. just for the family . Angie will not be working again, specifically not shooting any movies next year, just to enjoy time with her children and Brad. I know the photos of these 2 are but a split second of their lives. I know you cannot really read very much into them. And of course, what ever I read into the photos are more my projections then their reality.

Still, it seems to me that Brad is willing to walk a step behind his woman and support her when she is on official UN business. And yet, in the ordinary life, he often seems to be the one in front, clearing the way, being protective of his family and his love, and she seems content to let him take the lead. Buddhist Monks Defy Assembly Ban

YANGON, Myanmar (AP) — Security forces fired warning shots and tear gas canisters while hauling Buddhist monks away in trucks Wednesday as they tried to stop anti-government demonstrations in defiance of a ban on assembly.

The junta had banned all public gatherings of more than five people and imposed a nighttime curfew following eight days of anti-government marches led by monks in Yangon and other areas of the country, including the biggest protests in nearly two decades.

A march toward the center of Yangon followed a tense confrontation at the city’s famed Shwedagon Pagoda between the protesters and riot police who fired warning shots into the air, beat some monks and dragged others away into waiting trucks. Tear gas also was used.

The latest developments could further alienate already isolated Myanmar from the international community and put pressure on China, Myanmar’s top economic and diplomatic supporter, which is keen to burnish its international image before next year’s Olympics in Beijing.

But if the junta backs down, it risks appearing weak and emboldening protesters, which could escalate the tension.

When faced with a similar crisis in 1988, the government harshly put down a student-led democracy uprising. Security forces fired into crowds of peaceful demonstrators and killed thousands, traumatizing the nation.

The potential for a violent crackdown already had aroused international concern, with pleas for the junta to deal peacefully with the situation coming from government and religious leaders worldwide. They included the Dalai Lama and South Africa’s Archbishop Desmond Tutu, both Nobel Peace Prize laureates like detained Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi.

On Wednesday, about 5,000 monks and 5,000 students along with members of the party headed by detained opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi set off from Shwedagon to the Sule Pagoda in the heart of Myanmar’s largest city but were blocked by military trucks along the route.

Other protesters at the Sule Pagoda were confronted by warning shots.

Some carried flags emblazoned with the fighting peacock, a key symbol of the democracy movement in Myanmar. The march proceeded quietly with protesters praying rather than chanting.

About 100 monks stayed behind at the eastern gate of the Shwedagon, refusing to obey orders to disperse after riot police there failed to dislodge them despite employing tear gas, batons and warning shots.

Witnesses said an angry mob at the pagoda burned two police motorcycles.

In Mandalay, Myanmar’s second largest city, dozens of soldiers and riot police stopped some 300 monks and 30 nuns from entering the Mahamuni Paya Pagoda. After a heated confrontation, the clergy marched toward the city where other security forces were waiting.

“We are so afraid; the soldiers are ready to fire on civilians at any time,” a man near the pagoda said, speaking on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals.

Authorities announced the ban on gatherings and a 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew through loudspeakers on vehicles cruising the streets of Yangon and Mandalay Tuesday. The announcement said the measures would be in effect for 60 days.

Myanmar’s imposition of new restrictions after a week of relative inaction by the military government throws down a challenge to its opponents, testing their mettle when faced with almost certain arrest.

It was not clear what the penalty for defying the curfew would be. But breaking the section of the law restricting gatherings carries a possible jail term of two years.

A comedian famed for his anti-government jibes became the first well-known activist rounded up after the curfew was imposed.

Zarganar, who uses only one name, was taken away from his home by authorities shortly after midnight, with family members saying authorities told them the 45-year-old had been “called in for temporary questioning.”

Zarganar, along with actor Kyaw Thu and poet Aung Way, led a committee that provided food and other necessities to the Buddhist monks who have spearheaded the protests. He earlier had been imprisoned twice and his comedy routines were banned for their satirical jokes about the regime.

The fates of the actor and poet were not immediately known.

President Bush on Tuesday announced new U.S. sanctions against Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, accusing the military dictatorship of imposing “a 19-year reign of fear” that denies basic freedoms of speech, assembly and worship.

“Americans are outraged by the situation in Burma,” Bush said in an address to the U.N. General Assembly in New York.

Bush said the U.S. would tighten economic sanctions on leaders of the regime and their financial backers, and impose an expanded visa ban on those responsible for human rights violations and their families.

The European Union also threatened to strengthen existing sanctions against the regime if it uses violence to put down the demonstrations.

The protests could bring increased scrutiny on China’s close relations with Myanmar. China is the country’s major trading partner and Chinese energy companies are investing in exploration of natural gas in Myanmar.

Myanmar has about 19 trillion cubic feet of proven natural gas reserves, only about 0.3 percent of the world’s total reserves, according to BP’s Statistical Review of World Energy at the end of 2006. Although it doesn’t currently export gas to China, its supply could potentially help feed a rapidly growing Chinese economy hungry for energy.

The current protests began Aug. 19 after the government hiked fuel prices in one of Asia’s poorest countries. But they are based in deep-rooted dissatisfaction with the repressive military rule that has gripped the country since 1962.

The protests were faltering when the monks took the lead last week, assuming the role of a moral conscience they played in previous struggles against British colonialism and military dictators.

At least 35,000 Buddhist monks and sympathizers defied official warnings Tuesday and staged another anti-government march.

“The protest is not merely for the well-being of people but also for monks struggling for democracy and for people to have an opportunity to determine their own future,” one monk told The Associated Press. “People do not tolerate the military government any longer.” He spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of official reprisals.

On Monday, a massive monk-led protest drew as many as 100,000 people in Yangon — the biggest street protest since the failed 1988 uprising.

The head of the country’s official Buddhist organization, or Sangha, issued a directive Monday ordering monks to stick to learning and propagating the faith, saying young monks were being “compelled by a group of destructive elements within and without to break the law,” the state-run New Light of Myanmar newspaper said.

I did enjoy! Cute, completely adorable look at the two men relaxed and candid. You can see why they are such big stars, such charisma and charm in both.

After watching that clip I watched a few more on Youtube. Watched a clip of Angelina on Ellen in 04, after she had done Alexander. Such a great interview. She showed the big tat on her back and talked about how painful it was. Ellen also congratulated about her pilot’s license and gave her a pilot’s jacket and then a small one for Maddox. Angie was so unbelievably sweet when receiving these gifts. She got teary eyed and was so thrilled with them, like a kid at Christmas. She promised to send Ellen a pic of Maddox in his new jacket. You could just tell that Angie is the sweetest person and very humble and down to earth in this candid interview. I just love her so much. Great person. No wonder the world is ga-ga over this couple. They are both extraordinary people.

Here’s the thing that rings the most false about this story: Nobody has to go to the doctor for an official preg test. EPT has tests on the market so that you can find out if you are pregnant practically from the moment you conceive. The day of needing a doctor to tell you that you are pregnant are long gone.

Universal Pictures has set Jennifer Aniston to star with Aaron Eckhart in “Traveling,” a drama that marks the directing debut of Brandon Camp.

Camp wrote the script with longtime writing partner Mike Thompson.

Aniston will play a floral designer who works in a Seattle hotel where a charismatic self-help guru is conducting a weekend seminar on coping with grief. As they get to know each other, she factors heavily into the guru’s realization that he practices none of the principles he teaches.

Stuber/Parent’s Scott Stuber and Mary Parent will produce with Thompson. Shooting begins early next year.

Aniston is shooting a small role in New Line’s ensembler “She’s Just Not That Into You” and moves right into the Stephen Belber-directed “Management” with Steve Zahn. She is also booked to star in the David Frankel-directed Fox 2000 pic “Marley & Me” with Owen Wilson, but that picture has been postponed until at least spring.

Boy did I get an education last night! My neighbor buys STAR, IN TOUCH, and US magazines so I asked her to let me borrow a stack of them from the last month. No way I’m spending my money on that trash but I wanted to read them and see what they were saying about A & B, since the trolls seem to bring so much of it here.

I truly cannot believe anyone believes a word these mags say. They simply make stuff up. For example, they say A & B had a big fight as reported by a close friend. Does anyone really believe that anyone who is a friend to this couple would talk about them to STAR magazine? I think not. If so they would quickly be an X-friend. My favorite one is where they diagnose and predict all sorts of things as told by Dr. So and So, who HAS NOT treated the kids, couple, dog, etc. Not treated, never met, but can diagnose all that ails them. All of the stories are just made up crap, period.

I said this to my friend and she just laughed and said she doesn’t read any of the stories, she just looks at the pretty pictures. I thought that was hilarious since it is the opposite of what men say about the skin mags like Playboy: I don’t look at the pictures I buy it for the great articles!”

But obviously some people do think every word in these mags is the gospel and they defend what it says in the face of all evidence being otherwise. But it’s sad. And the magazines obviously don’t care about the toll all the lying they do takes on the people they are telling the lies about.

I watched Angie on an Ellen interview and she said she doesn’t read these mags but other people end up telling her what it says. She tries to shrug it off but you know it has to hurt.

I hope all these mags go broke. They are just trash.

I’m glad you guys like the new ST John ad. The woman in it is pretty but it looks to me like they airbrushed the Angie right out of it. Her mouth doesn’t even look as full. Sadly, the blood has been shed in Myanmar. Listening to the BBC, at least 5 Monks have been killed. Civilians have also been hurt and killed.

Actor Brad Pitt has just communicated plans to build a new community of homes in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward. Announcing the new effort at today’s meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative, Pitt will be partnering with real-estate developer and philanthropist Steve Bing to create 150 low-price, sustainable homes as part of Pitt’s “Make it Right” project.

In terms of moola, Pitt pledged to match $5 million in contributions to the project, while Bing has pledged to match $5 million in contributions—that’s $10 million total in matching funds. (We did the math for you.)

“The heart and soul of New Orleans, specifically the people of the Lower 9th Ward, are paramount to this project,” said Pitt. “The words of one elderly man who is determined to return to New Orleans led to the name of our organization: he asked us, directly simply and profoundly, to help make it right. So that’s what we’re doing. We’re going to help make it right with 150 sustainable, affordable houses—houses that stand out for their design both aesthetically and structurally, so that these people can live in beautiful safe structures that respect their spirit and provide a good quality of life.”

Notably, Make it Right is collaborating with William McDonough + Partners to develop the environmental criteria guiding the project, using Cradle-to-Cradle philosophies to design and choose materials for the new homes.

I am sorry to say but the X may welcome all the attention from the tabs in spite of negative writings. In hollywood, negative press is better than non existence. The X knows that after 2 years or so of looking for work. I think she wants it so bad to succeed in lala land that any press is ok w/ her. I actually love seeing what those tabs are saying on Wednesdays because I only go to the grocery store once a month and I like seeing the silly headlines!!! They’re good for a laugh.
