OlderMaddox’s School: Stop Bothering Brad & Angelina
Angelina Jolie (looking better than ever) drops off Maddox at the Lycée Français de New York on the Upper East Side on Wednesday morning. Other pictures include Brad Pitt picking up Maddox from the school’s secret side entrance on Tuesday afternoon.
Maddox’s school, via Lycee’s director of operations Dan Cooke, recently sent out an amusing letter to parents to leave Brad & Angelina alone:
“I’m sure you are aware the school has received much media attention recently during the arrival and dismissal times because of the presence of celebrities Ms. Angelina Jolie and/or Mr. Brad Pitt. I want to make you aware that before the first day of school I met with their security team to discuss the best manner in which for them to drop off and pick up their son. Our foremost goal was to cause the least amount of disruption to the school and to ensure the security of all of our students and families.
Regretfully, I have seen some parents taking pictures, asking for autographs, talking to the media and even shouting at Ms. Jolie and Mr. Pitt for recognition. Therefore, in the best interests of the school and safety of your child(ren) I must ask for everyone to please respect the family’s privacy and discontinue these practices.”

Brad speech was really nice,he showed he really knows what he’s doing and is passionate to the project. I thought it was great that he mentioned the partners, the community, so he showed that it’s not about him, about what he’s doing, but about a project, a group. He would say “we” most of the time, so it didn’t sound like someone who is “selfish”, or “self-absorbed” like some very narrow minded people seem to put things. (Well, in fact they know it’s not like that. They just say these things to try to annoy the fans, attract attention to some blogs or to sell tabloids…).
They didn’t show Angelina so I’m supposing she wasn’t there. She’ll meet UK Foreign Affairs minister, isn’t it? And later she’ll attend to another meeting in the forum too. I guess this is totally ok. They don’t need to be together ALL THE TIME…They are grown ups, and despite the fact that showing support for your partner is great (and they do that all the time), Brad doens’t need her holding his hand while he makes a speech or vice-versa.
Last thing: I suppose it was here that, some time ago, someone from NY said that all that people clapping and cheering them on the streets were tourists, because new-yorkers were too cool and to used to meet celebrities every day in order to act like that? So, I must imagine that all these parents of students from the Lycé Français are tourist or foreigners? :))

You’d think that the adults who have the means to send their children to this school would be above all the star-struck BS. Obviously money can’t buy “class”.
Okay, celebrities got/get their celebrity status because of parents like these. So maybe parents should simply STOP giving a damn about any of those people who are granted ’super services’.
What about parents who aren’t interested about celebrity nonsense at all? Why should they get ‘regular but not super services’ just because there are people out there who call themselves celebrities ???

All parents have the right to be in their children’s lives. You drama queens are the same. If a nanny took their children to school. You would be admonishing them for not being in their children’s lives. Which is it? Or, you wait to find what is opposite in any story about them? And why? do you always have to read about them? If you don’t like them? Are they your obsession? They must be flattered, that you make them the center of your Universe, LOL!

if it’s secret, how does everyone know about it?
I bet the other parents in that school are so thrilled that they brought all the craziness around their children. If I had a child in that school, I would be afraid my kids would get caught in the nonsense or hurt by someone. I understand giving Brad and Angelina special service because of who they are, but what about the other children who just happen to go there? I wonder how their parents feel about the cameras and people standing outside. I would be none thrilled- even if it isn’t Brad and Angelina’s fault. That school probably really doesn’t even care about their safety so much as the publicity they’ve earned and the money they pay.
