Brad Pitt speaks before a panel discussion on energy and climate change during the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting Wednesday in New York City. The conference is focused on finding ways to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems including poverty and climate change.
According to People, Brad is partnering with billionaire Steve Bing on the “Make it Right” program, which plans to build 150 affordable – and environmentally sustainable – homes in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward. Brad and Bing have each promised to match donations pledged during the initiative up to $5 million.
FYI: It costs $15,000 per person to take part in the panel discussions and smaller working sessions at the CGI. $15K!!!!! I hope it all goes to charity…

It’s all good….$5 million, 2.5 million, $1 .. Environmental, AIDS, Education,. There are a lot of problems in the world, and yes we can b*tch and complain about everything, but at the end of the day if that’s all you did, than you have done nothing.
All these people are trying to do some good…They are getting together to learn what has been done successfully, what has not work, what can be done…so as far as I’m concern it’s all good.
The attendees are people who want to help and learn about the issues and do something about problems and they are actually doing so. It won’t happen overnight, but little by little, individual are being helped. The makeitright organization won’t help all of NOLA, but they will help some. The Jolie-Pitt foundation and UNHCR won’t be able to educate all kids everywhere, but they will help some of the kids. It’s all about helping just a little somewhere.

Well, dina #1, since I’m a doctor I’m trying mainly to watch the discussion about vaccines, although I think they are all interesting. They are having a very good discussing about the finantial support for the programs and research about vaccines, and how the Mondial Bank could/should be the institution to centralize (is there such a word in english??) this, so the international funds for that purpose wouldn’t go to different donors, creating a difficult in devellopping countries (one must ask for funds everywhere without knowing where it can be obtained). Sorry for the poor english…On that link of the clintonglobaliniciative they have the link to this and the other discussions.
Now that he gain this place among politician because of Angulina,he doesn`t need her any more.and he will dump her as soon as he can.

Are you serious?? I have write many praising post about Angie my self hon and I have praised her for what she does and for the kind of woman she is and I have defend her 1000 times from troll’s nonsense.
At least I made an effort to do some research about who Angie really is and I’m her admirer and supporter 100% as I’m Brad’s supporter.
But obviously all you want is to create trouble and I won’t be a part of it. Bye!

That’s true but you forgot about something VERY important, the mini van majority will side with him, but the big guns will side with angelina. Why? very simple, they know she’s the real deal and well to be honest, she’s the one with the powerful friends.
Brad has powerful friends in Hollywood, but angelina is the one’s that has friends in politics and media.
In the end, angelina will retire, will give a killer interview to VF and go back to england.

In the afternoon… Jolie is slated to attend a press conference with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Antonio Guteres, to talk about a new campaign, Nine Million, aimed at improving education for refugee children around the world.
Then in the evening… Jolie, a Goodwill Ambassador for the U.N. refugee agency, is scheduled to speak at a session focused on education for children in war-torn areas such as Darfur and Iraq.
