OlderBrad Pitt @ Clinton Global Initiative
Brad Pitt speaks before a panel discussion on energy and climate change during the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting Wednesday in New York City. The conference is focused on finding ways to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems including poverty and climate change.
According to People, Brad is partnering with billionaire Steve Bing on the “Make it Right” program, which plans to build 150 affordable – and environmentally sustainable – homes in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward. Brad and Bing have each promised to match donations pledged during the initiative up to $5 million.
FYI: It costs $15,000 per person to take part in the panel discussions and smaller working sessions at the CGI. $15K!!!!! I hope it all goes to charity…

Did the panel say anything about financing for vaccine programs? The Bank is changing its financial support, lately an academic from MIT called the Bank not to finance any project not authorized by a commission on randomized experiments. Just curious.

That’s true but you forgot about something VERY important, the mini van majority will side with him, but the big guns will side with angelina. Why? very simple, they know she’s the real deal and well to be honest, she’s the one with the powerful friends.
Brad has powerful friends in Hollywood, but angelina is the one’s that has friends in politics and media.
In the end, angelina will retire, will give a killer interview to VF and go back to england.
Angelina’s friends dont like Brad much, they think he’s fake. She will win big time, that’s why Brad is playing the “low-key victim” card. He knows he can’t made a show, like he did with jen because he’s going to lose BIG TIME.
Both of them are preparing their little act.

Thanks for the new thread Just Jared. BP and AJ are two people that I admire. I listen in on some of the panels and they were very interesting. BP and AJ will be just fine. However, if it makes troll happy to come up with all these fanfics then go ahead. It obviously helps in your mundane lives. Meanwhile, BP and AJ are speaking on very important causes and raising funds for these causes. The Clinton Global Initiative has assembled some good speakers in the areas of finance, health and human rights. Peace to all.

Oh! The education panel is over too. I thought I could see it now that the other is over. Guess, I’ll just wait for my son to arrive from school, take a shower, have dinner with the pc on so I can listen when Jolie’s presentation starts. This is the reason why I support these 2 when I have never been interested in celebrities before: they are more than movie stars. They are interesting people doing great things. There are few other artist that when you go to their threads or fansites you can find such interesting things like CGI. Maybe Di Caprio, or Don Cheadle’s and bono of course. But there arent threads about Bono ;). Good night folks.

Good to see you posting….I’ll give you my impression later tonight (my usual appearance time at JJ - ) -. While I was listening to the panel on young girls education, I was actually thinking of you - You should have been there as one of the expert panelist (since you did tremendous research on this subject for your project….) Hi Guys, my nephew is OK thanks the Lord. I just got a text from him, He is a student at St. John’s University; the school has been in lock down since 2:00 PM because of two gunmen. One has been arrested, they are still searching the East Building for the other gunman.

I missed Brad’s speech but based on the fans’s input here, I can gather he did a fantastic job and that makes me proud to be his fan. I will probably miss Angelina’s speech as I’m at work, but I’m sure she’ll be superb. I checked out Brad’s Make It Right website and I’ll be definitely making a donation for such a worthy cause.

I never ever followed anyone like I have Brad and Angelina. I don’t have much time with three boys at home and a full time job; however, any time I can spare is to look up info on the Jolie-Pitts and come to this site for the latest.

The Mondo Bongo Trust was and I guess still is Brad’s real estate company that purchased properties for him - he may have had partners in it or maybe they just worked for him - his Malibu house that he bought right after his separation from Aniston was purchased by the Mondo Bongo Trust. So was the New Orleans house. I don’t think it has anything to do with the kids.

i think what they’re doing is great. there aren’t a lot of people willing to part with that much money, no matter how rich, for charity. especially the nouveau riche since they come from not much money. regarding the private jet thing, i think they travel thru that because it’s always like a media frenzy when they travel commercial. do u guys remember those video clips of them at the airport when angie was still pregnant with shiloh? crazy…in an idea world we wouldn’t need gasoline to fly a plane but we live in this here reality, and we do need diesel to power such machinery. if such was possible, i think they would buy a private plane that can operate safely with non harmful gaseous substances. but that has to be wishful thinking for now. we can only do what is humanly possible, and what we can control, which is our own actions- the best the we ourselves can do to preserve our planet. ;-)

Sorry curly, I was waiting for my son outside. Just saw your post now. Yes, what they were talking about the World Bank was about finantial support for research on vaccines. A representant from a research institute in India also noted that there must be more transparence on the application of international funds and any kind of public funds used on vaccine research worldwide. Well have to take care of this wonderfull kid God put in my life…Corny, I know, but ssooo true. Good night everyone!
