Angelina Jolie Crying @ Clinton Global Intiiative
Angelina Jolie is wonderful in white as she waves to photographers before leaving a midtown New York City office building Thursday afternoon.
Just yesterday, she spoke at a forum during the Clinton Global Intiative and shared a very moving story, which brought her to tears while telling it
As told by The Huffington Post, “Angelina Jolie [told] one of the most moving stories I think I’ve ever heard about two refugees that she met in Syria. One had been brutally burned and dumped in a trash can and the other was a ten year old boy, and how the two of these people somehow helped each other over a period of months. She was convinced that this little boy, who had spent so much time taking care of this horribly burnt man, who literally had maggots in his wounds, would someday be a doctor and that these people we call refugees are all people that are regular, hard-working people that have been stripped of everything.”
Watch the video below of Angelina sharing her story! (Sorry the audio is a little off!)

Brad was not there as much as Angie was,Angie attended two meeting, one press conference and another her meeting .so it should be more picture of her from CGI than Brad.we just got photo of him during his speech.and I think he left early too to take his kids out of their schools.

TRUE but these pix are just more of the same day as the last angie thread. in brad’s cgi thread there was only like 5 pix and you KNOW they took a million of him while he was standing up there for five minutes. I was just wondering why we didn’t get more of him because im bored and wanted to look at pix of him at cgi and maybe watch the vid too. oh wells, i enjoyed angie’s vid.

This is just an example of an “anger-provoking behavior.” Simply unethical and unworthy of our time.
Angelina Jolie is an extraordiary and compassionate wowan. I am sure she knows she is not perfect, but she is trying really hard to be the best mom, partner, friend, and U.N. embassador that she can be. This is not only me saying, I read, I get my facts before opening my mouth. I am going to believe Brad Pitt if he says Angie is a “great mom and partner,” and Colin Powell when he said “She’s absolutely serious, absolutely informed,” “Her work with refugees is not something to decorate herself. She studies the issues.” “For her, it’s not about saving the world, it’s about saving kids,” he says. “She doesn’t need this. This needed her.”
HATE IS THE REAL EVIL.
I didn’t think it was possible for a human being to have such a bright soul! She has moved me beyond words, and it’s people like her who has opened my mind and made me more aware of myself as a citizen of the world… that each person, no matter where they live, or where they’re from deserves to be treated with respect. Thank you, Angelina, for being such a great example of how one person can make such a huge difference. Thank you for being a shinging star.
I am thankful for being one of the millions of fans of Angelina, for the way she is bringing a meaningful difference in this world. She changed me as a person in the way I view the world from within. I find pride and joy for the roles she fulfills! Angelina is not just a wonderful mom to Shiloh, Maddox, Zahara and Pax, she’s also a very supportive, and great partner to Brad, a true friend, an amazing humanitarian, an awesome and talented actress, an unbelievable woman who does 80% of her stunts in movies she portrays, a sexy biker, a tall, slender, and stunning model since she was 12, speaks several languages, and the most beautiful licensed pilot ever to board an aircraft! How can someone not admire her?
I’m sure there are so many more roles she has portrayed or talents she has gained, if you know them, please feel free to add.

I’M PROUD TO BE ANGELINA JOLIE FAN. I’M WITH YOU ALL THE WAY…
in a world that can so easily make all of us jaded and unfeeling it is amazing to see that people even those with fame and fortune are able to feel a connection to humanity is remarkable. I am so very honered to have caught that moment in time and to have shared it with all of you,who like myself admire this woman immensely.
there is good in the world afterall… if that video didn’t move you then i don’t quite understand what will…
AMAZING WOMAN….
I LOVE this woman! She is amazing!
Guli,
Thanks for the link to Brad’s presentation.
Amle, if you only heard the story about these people, you will be moved too. I hope, they get the necessary help thru The UNHCR. I would love these people to succeed in life specially the little boy. Because of Ange the story was told & people will listen & help. When Ange told that story, it’s coming from her heart not that she needs to act but her compassion to help.I myself was moved by that story, we need people who cares like Brad & Ange. They really make a difference.
Love you, Angie!
Pity you, cynics!
my God I LOVE this woman
she is a true angel
Thanks for the thread Just Jared. AJ looks great in white with her big smile. Her speech at the CGI was very impressive and emotional. It is obvious that she cares deeply about helping others through her UN work. She is a dedicated humanitarian. BP also gave an empowering speech as well as many of the other presenters. Thanks for all the articles and links. Peace to all.
Hey thanks Jared for putting this video!!! :)
This has all been rather sad to read. Heaping all this praise and adultation on a person who is simply doing what her ‘team’ of publicists and handlers tell her to do. Her ’story’, was one of her better performances, surprising as her movies have been pretty awful as of late.
“Idol”, “Hero”, “Role Model” - I have a hard time beliveing that anyone would name her any of these things. But, nonetheless, some of you have. And that in it self reveals so much about the person who calls her that. Please, consider the whole person, her not so long ago past and the fact that not one of you knows her personally. No one knows what kind of parent she really is, other then a random (or staged) photograph or a carefully released press statement, the truth is still behind closed doors. Where it belongs.
There are so many more humans who are truly deserving of those titles of “Hero”, “Idol” and “Role Model” in this world, many of them alive and kicking still. The people who do devote their lives to humanitarian causes. Teachers, scientists, medical researchers,
possibly your own parents.
Read, learn, think for yourselves.
Find out who Mahatma Gandi was, read the words of the Dali Lama, learn about the public works of Eleanor Roosevelt, check out Brooke Astor, Golda Meir, even Boadicea if your interested in strong women who lead their people and devoted their lives to others…
Nelson Mandela, John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Mary Queen of Scots, Indira Ghandi, George Washington and so on and so on.
Yes, she’s very pretty and it’s very nice that she’s adopted children, but worthy of being idolized…. she’s got a long way to go.
