She does smile…if you were 2 1/2 and had people calling your name and flashing bulbs in your eyes, would you smile? It would probably be scary to a little girl. But if you look at other pics of them, she smiles and laughs.

I think people read way too much into pics of this family!

So she used the back door for one day and then couldn’t’ stand it and had to go back to the front entrance where she could get her daily dose of much needed attention.

Third, and not least, people with high IQs graduate high school early all the damned time. There are CHILDREN with IQs in the 150s who are in COLLEGE, moron. Furthermore, anyone can take the G.E.D. exam at any time and if they pass it they get their high school diploma. G.E.D., genius, which apparently you’ve never heard of, stands for General Education Development and is as valid as a “high school diploma” from the finest prep or private schools in the world. However, as far as I know, Angie got her high school diploma the old fashioned way - she went to high school and tested out of classes, which means she didn’t have to take them a full semester like YOU DID. Some people really are that smart. Just not you.

do not worry these haters do not care about zahara hair, they just want to annoy us and also they are very jealous. first of all they do not know how hard is to fix a baby’s girl especially of zahara’s age. my niece is 3, and when you try to fix her hair she would start to cry, so most of her time her hair is messy, i think haters have not been around children of this age, first of all children of this agethey are learning to be independent, and most of the time they would not let you do anything on them, it is like they think they are grown ups.

Sweet photos of Z. She’s going to be 3 in a few months time. I love seeing the transition when a baby becomes a toddler and when a toddler becomes a little girl or boy. It all happens over a period of approximately 3 years give or take 6 months. When that happens, you realise just how fleeting the moments really are with a child. Thank goodness a little girl or boy stays a little girl or boy until they are at least 8 or 9 years old.

My friend’s interning at a fashion mag and she heard that **. John and Angelina are “parting ways” and official announcement is to be made soon. Anybody heard that too?

And the wording of the statement suggested that when her contract is up she will not re-sign. I actually tried finding the statement online but never did. A little piece of reality. It is dawn in Myanmar and we are entering what could be the 11th day of protests. The shooting has started, the rounding up and imprisonment. I feel so sad for the Myanmese people who are being oppressed by their own government. Although freedom is important, please understand that the Myanmese people aren’t just fighting for freedom of speech. They are fighting for their very survival. The Military Junta has been so incompetent and corrupt that few of Myanmar’s resources actually benefit their own people. Education standards have fallen drastically. Hospitals lack basic equipment. The ethnic minorities such as the Karen, have been at war with the Military.

I feel so angry about China’s on going support for the Myanmese Junta. The Junta is completely unaccountable for their corruption, their violence.

I’m not against a dictatorship merely because it is a dictatorship. For the most part, dictators have not been good for the people but there are exceptions, Singapore being for all intents and purposes one very good example.

Also, there are single party nations which have governments which aren’t totally horrible. China is itself an example. Despite widespread corruption, I’ve been told that the very top Chinese leaders, Hu Jin Tao and others are not totally venal and in fact are seen to be reasonably (yes, it is relative here) uncorrupted. We are not talking about a Mobutu or a Marcos here. Thanks to economic progress, more Chinese have entered the middle class in the last 25 years than ever before. And in many ways, there is quite a lot of freedom of expression in China.

But the Myanmese junta have merely enriched themselves and those they wish to patronise, whilst improverishing their own people. We are really looking at a Mobutu or Marcos.

That’s probably right. She signed a 3 year contract in 2005. If it doesn’t expire at the end of this year, then it will in the spring of 2008.

Hey Lylian……. i agree with you about us sparing a thought for the people of Myanmar. We should, each of us, take a moment of our time to just send a positive thought for a peaceful resolution to the situation. I have learnt from experience that we dont really need to make a big production out of praying for, or wishing others well. Its really very simple. Just a moment of positive thought energy is often all that’s needed.

So if each person does that, can you imagine the powerful force for good that would be?! JMO.

Y’now, i only realized that Jamaica has a fairly significant Myanmar-Jamaican community living here. i had no idea! But they staged a demonstration in front of the Chinese embassy here in Kingston and do you know, the chinese ignored them! They never even granted them the courtesy of a hearing or of even just taking their petition.

All they wanted to do was plead with the chinese ambassador to ask his government to help the myanmar people. Anyway, they left there and marched to the UN office which was close by and they were much better received.

O2 - hey there! I was just about to mention that children’s charity that never materialzed. Plus, with that new program Angie introduced at the CGI, she’s not going to have time to chair another charity for SJ. Also, remember around the time of GG’s there were rumors that Angie was less than thrilled with their collection at the time. That’s why they specially designed her GG gown. The clothes she modeled for their fall collection is a heck of a step forward for SJ IMO. I know their main clientele is the matron set, but women want to look younger than they are, not like their grandmothers…even if they ARE grandmothers!

All the rumours could just be a negotiating ploy. Her contract does expire and will require renegotiations. I’m sure the fact that she has helped to double sales has been NOTICED by the industry. Other fashion houses are surely INTERESTED in hiring Angelina too and if I were her manager, I would be contacting other fashion houses to see if they can better the offer that SJK may wish to make. Let’s face it, SJK before Angelina was seen as the knits for older ladies who lunch. Today, it has a revitalised, sexier, younger image - hence the doubling of sales.

2 years ago, I thought she should model for Versace or something funky like that but not any longer. Whilst Angelina has managed to turn around SJK’s image, I now think may be Dior or Chanel or Gucci, Prada, one of these european brands would be better for her own image, classic, slightly funky yet very very chic. Also, Angelina is well liked in Europe. On top of that, European brands have a huge presence in Asia and Angelina is very well regarded in Asia, already, particularly Japan and India, possibly China and Sth Korea. So, it would be a good match for both the fashion houses and for Angelina if she represents one of the great Fashion Houses of Europe. Better than SJK which hardly has a presence in Asia or Europe.

FYI I have two friends who are Caucasian and have tried Pantene’s Relaxed and Natural shampoo and conditioner for women of color and love it! Deep conditioning, works wonders! May want to try it!

The St. John’s ads photographed by Mario Testino were and are fabulous. The clothes from St. John’s were just ok. It’s a middle of the road line where suits and nice separates are great staples for daytime but for red carpet and black tie functions, couture it ain’t.
They have the person who used to run Dolce & Gabanna now running St. John so hopefully they will step up the designs.

I honestly don’t know if they have them anymore! The were metal combs that would be heated on a stove or at the salon a heating element and combed thru the hair, stick with your flat iron! If it’s to hot, you burn you hair! Nasty smell and a really bad do! Try the Pantene shampoo and conditioner for women of color, fittingly it’s a brown bottle! Great conditioning power! Stay away from the hot comb. Worst part was if you sweated alot of times that bead would sizzle! Good luck!

McAdams, Mirren & Wright Penn Join ‘State of Play’

With the men in place — Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Jason Bateman (who was added just the other day) — State of Play has finally gotten to its female stars. They are: Rachel McAdams, Helen Mirren, and Robin Wright Penn. How do they fit in? Well, as you might remember, Play is about a congressman (Norton) whose lover is murdered, and a newspaper that is investigating the story. McAdams is the “reporter in the middle of a career-making story,” Mirren will be her “steely editor” (played in the original miniseries by Bill Nighy), and finally, Wright Penn will be the congressman’s estranged wife. Pitt is an ex-campaign manager for Norton’s character who leads the investigation, and Bateman is a fellow lead reporter.

I think it’s a pretty safe bet that this will do well — it’s a great cast without being so star-studded that it drowns in its own celebrity. Step by step, Rachel McAdams is solidifying her spot in fame — and it’s surprising to see just how few big films she’s been in. Instead of just picking whatever (as seems to be Bateman’s plan), she’s been spacing out the work and selecting certain roles, which seem to be paying off. Next up for her: a period drama called Married Life. Helen Mirren, well, she’s been taking the world by storm lately, and proving that women shouldn’t be put out to pasture after hitting 40 or 50 — even though, for some reason, she decided to take part in National Treasure: Book of Secrets. And finally, there’s Robin Wright Penn, who has kept under the radar for the most part, but selects a pretty varied collection of films from The Singing Detective to Hounddog.
