OlderBritney Spears Loses Custody of Kids
Britney Spears has lost physical custody of her kids, according to TMZ. The pop princess has about 48 hours left with her two sons before they are taken away from her.
L.A. County Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon issued an order today stating that baby daddy Kevin Federline “is to retain physical custody of the minor children on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 12:00 PM until further order of the court.”
X17 reports Britney took the kids to the drive-thru at Carl’s Jr. at 12:02PM today and surrendered the kids to K-Fed’s bodyguard three minutes later.
Gordon previously found that Britney is a “habitual, frequent and continuous” user of alcohol and controlled substances.
Just yesterday, Britney grabbed dinner at a Greek restaurant in Malibu with her two children — Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

#13 no way that the children could go to foster care if there are relatives willing to take them. Courts or CPS does not just take kids away. There has to be a reason. Believe me I’m a social worker.

Well it’s about freaking time, what took them so long, she is a *****, that does not deserve to have a plant to take care of. She went after Kevin lock, stock and barrel, and she got what she had coming to her, I could not be happier
Britney Spears is not fit to be a mother. Sorry to all her fans, but that woman is in desperate need of psychiatric counseling. It’s so obvious. She’s not very bright, so that’s why she hasn’t been able to get her act together. She’s a woman on the path to self-destruction. We saw it with Anna Nicole and now Britney. I never thought I would think that Kevin was the stable one in their relationship, but he’s turning out to be. What I’m most concerned about is her children. I hope she doesn’t end up harming them before she hands them over.
As a mother of a young male adult, I cannot imagine how terrible it would be to have one’s children given to their father and, especially, one who has not worked since he met their mother. Only time will tell if he can be an effective parent and, hopefully, he’ll do it himself without the help of Shar Mammy as he has those two children born out of wedlock with her.
It goes to show that she needs to be treated by a non-Hollywood professional psychologist in addition to going through long-term detoxification and substance abuse counseling.
Most mothers have so much love and pride regarding the sacrificial rearing of their children that they would do anything to prevent the father in a divorced situation from having 100% custody of them.
This hurts my heart as a mother, and I hope she now seeks the professional assistance that she and those little boys deserve!

According to another gossip site, there’s pictures of her taken today waiting to give the kids to Kevin’s bodyguard. She could have kept them till Wed, but just couldn’t wait to gete rid of them. WOO-HOO…………..big party time tonight. Maybe she’ll OD.

Well serves her right if what they say is true about her partying/drug taking/drinking/general behaviour/mindset/anything-else-you-want-to-add-to-the-list. Then again I’m not entirely sure that KFed is much better but I’ll give him a chance…
Oh and just cos we don’t see KFed with his kids (both with Brit & that other woman) does not mean he isn’t a good parent…in fact I’d say it was very good for little kids to be kept out of the spotlight/media, the less we see of them, the better (but I think that’s true for all celebs kids)
