OlderBrad Pitt Goes on ‘Parade’
Brad Pitt tells Parade that one thing that is certain are his kids, Maddox, 6, Pax, 3, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 16 months. Here are some snippets from his interview:
On his increasing doubt in religion as he got older: “I had crises of faith. I thought you had to experience things if you want to know right from wrong. I’d go to Christian revivals and be moved by the Holy Spirit, and I’d go to rock concerts and feel the same fervor. Then I’d be told, ‘That’s the Devil’s music! Don’t partake in that!’ I wanted to experience things religion said not to experience.”
On having scuttled his fundamentalist beliefs by the time he entered college: “When I got untethered from the comfort of religion, it wasn’t a loss of faith for me, it was a discovery of self,” he says. “I had faith that I’m capable enough to handle any situation. There’s peace in understanding that I have only one life, here and now, and I’m responsible.”
On his faith in his family: “What’s important to me is that I’ve defined my beliefs and lived according to them and not betrayed them. One of those is my belief in my family. I still have faith in that.”
On his early taste with fame: “When fame really hit me was when ‘Legends of the Fall’ was released. You get no warning about what celebrity is or how to deal with it. It’s sort of multitiered. The initial stage is feeling discombobulated and not up to the task. I didn’t understand the incessant attention when I went outside, the way people completely focused on me. It made me very uncomfortable. Then you start to see the fickleness of celebrity that it isn’t rooted in something of real value. There is this strange wanting by people to get next to you. It has nothing to do with you but with something they feel they are missing in themselves.”
On the crazy paparazzi: “I understand the tabloid machine. There’s money to be made off of Angie and me, but it has gotten so out-of-hand. There’s no decency, even when it comes to our kids. I mean, yesterday Angie was taking Maddie off to school. There were 30 paparazzi outside. One guy sticks a video camera in Mad’s face, yelling, ‘Maddox! Maddox!’ He doesn’t get a response. He doesn’t know my boy. Mad is already savvy to this, unfortunately. But my 2-year-old dreads being anyplace there are cameras. It scares her. They’re all in her face. My kids are faced with this every day! It’s disgusting. So we’ve been run out of L.A., all the major cities. We just can’t live there. You don’t understand–this is the hunt, the hunt, the hunt! I thought it might be over a year ago. It’s gotten worse.”

I like this quote, it shows the relationship between Brad and his Mom was open to discussions they didn’t agree on. Parents can respect their children who do not share the same religious beliefs.
“I always had a lot of questions about the world, even in kindergarten. A big question to me was fairness. If I’d grown up in some other religion, would I get the same shot at Heaven as a Christian has? My mom would come into my room and talk to me. I was very fortunate to have that dialogue with her, but in high school I started to realize that I felt differently from others.”
Please take off those stupid hats Brad they make you look worse than you are, you are aging and you had better get right with God if your family is important to you. You are not immune son!

I hope you worshippers don’t go to an actual church-here you have someone who is directly opposed to biblical teaching and yet you support him as if he died for you-Are you that blind? Either believe the bible or don’t believe it-No preacher, elder, bishop or whatever needs to interpret it for you-you just need to read-Brad is a dad-he sets limits on his kids, but yet he doesn’t want any limits that God sets on him-too bad because, just as the “rich man” asked God to let Lazarus dip his finger in water to cool his tongue, brad will be “HOT” in every sense of the word-He supports fornication, he supports homosexuality, he supports lying, cheating, ungodliness, all in order to fulfill his selfish flesh-There are no perfect ppl just as his kids are not perfect, but he would not tolerate them being in direct opposition to what he tells them-yet he expects God to do so for him-he is not smart at all-a real man would have worked the marriage out with Jennifer because a real man would have understood that she was flawed but lovable and his commitment was not only made to the ppl there, and to jennifer, but to God

Brad is going down!!!!! Opens that big self righteous mouth and now “supposed fans” are turning on him. This is hilarious. He does think he is almighty. Maybe Jolie is right and he should just sit there and look pretty. He’s so hard up to prove he’s not dumb but as soon as you hear him talk, there’s just no denying it.
no wonder Jen didn’t see him for 6 months while he was filming Troy - she probably needed to get away from the depressing dope that he is. He was going through a mid life crisis? Poor Jen, God only knows what she had to deal with being married to “it”. No wonder she couldn’t admit that he was the love of her life, and no wonder she forgot to mention his name in her award speech… she was probably trying to forget that she was married. he really blessed her by cheating and leaving. he may have his “kids” now… but she probably got her sanity back along with comfortable furniture. I’ve met the angelina and brad twice. They are nothing but sincere and genuine people. they dont “call the paps”. the paparazzi are outside their hotel everyday and follow them to their destinations. why should they fight it? that will only make the paparazzi more aggressive. theres no law on it. there’s nothing they can do about it. They cant spend time with their kids without it being a photo op, if they don’t take them out..my god they neglect them. they lose/lose either way.
