OlderSarah Wayne Callies: FOX Made Me Quit
According to an interview in French magazine Tele Star, former Prison Break star Sarah Wayne Callies, aka Dr. Sara Tancredi, was forced to quit the show. Here is a rough translation of the interview (if the magazine is credible):
Big surprise on Prison Break. We hear that you’re leaving the show in the third season. Yes, but I didn’t have the choice. I’m sad, but it’s just show business.
You weren’t expecting this? No, at the end of season 2 last year. I was sure I’d continue. It’s such a great adventure we achieved.
How did you know you were fired? I don’t want to speculate too much about this. I was shocked.
Your leaving the show was a big deal. You have to tell us more! I’ll just say this. I am sorry to let down the viewers. I have loved the support Sara Tancredi got from them. and though she was a victim of her own destiny, I liked how she made decisions by herself. But the way things ended up couldn’t have been foreseen. Again, I was deceived by the decision.
How did your fellow actors react? They told me ‘It’s too bad. I loved working with you and good luck, we hope we can work together again.’
And Wentworth [Miller]? We were so sad that we wouldn’t work together anymore. Wentworth is a gentleman. He’s gracious and full of class. And i learned a lot from him. But in a series like “Prison Break,” apart from Wentworth, anyone can go. When I took the role of Sara, I thought it’d be for only a year. Afterwards, I was so happy to get a second year.
If they call you back, will you accept? Of course! I don’t have another role right now. Right now, I need to find work.
How will Sara make her exit from the series? I don’t know. I’m not part of the team anymore and don’t have any influence on the storyline.
How is being a mom to baby Keala? It’s a rich experience and unpredictable. You can’t plan anything. (Keala was born in July 2007.)
What projects do you currently have today? I’ll rest another month in Vancouver (Canada). Afterwards, I’ll go to California for a little bit. After that, I’d like to do theater in New York. I honed my skills on the stage and I miss it.

TELLING INTERVIEW! Anyway, how was yesterday’s Prison Break episode “Call Waiting”? How LAME was Tancredi’s body double? And the lame voiceover voice? And what do you think is in the box that Lincoln opened up at the very end of the episode? Somebody’s finger of decapitated head, perhaps?

love the new season, michael using his brain to figure out how to get out of there again!! i’ll miss sara though, love the relationship between michael and sara, as well swc is wonderful on the show! the bad body/voice double is really wrong….they need to clear up that part of the storyline for sure! its good though, the show is good.

it used to be so good. after 10 miserable 10 mins. i changed it to CHUCK. and CHUCK is actually a really good show.

OMG WHAT?!? That means Sara probably dies…I just hope it’s not her head or anything in that box, it would be a too horrible death for her, and I can’t even imagine how Michael will react to this. Gosh, one of the main reasons I watched Prison Break was for the Michael/Sara interaction…:( This stinks.

anyway..the people at Fox really know how to lose viewers and get low ratings..they should get a price for their innate talent, you know, ruining tv-shows.

Wow, I thought Season 3 was sucked enough as it is, but now with Sarah gone it’s just horrible and I’m not even that big of a MiSa fan. This show had potential…in the beginning. Nice way to **** it up.
¿If they cancel the show, what will be about Went? Please, watch the show in spite of loosing Sara!¿Are we his fans or not?
I have to admit, if this article/interview is indeed true, then I’m truly hurt. God forbid but I’m willing to boycott the show if they won’t even give SWC a good ending/exit. Whether it’s dead or live… they should have the decency to give the actress some respect as well as her fans.

now that they were finally kissing and hugging and saying i love you in pb2, suddenly they are going to cut off sara. what are you doing to us fox! we need our misa moment please! i hope this is not true or else pb is nothing for me. sorry went, maybe i will still watch but your moment with sara makes pb less violent. i was always looking forward to your scene together. oh boy.

According to E!News, SWC decided on her own not to come back “this season.” So that she could devote her time to time to the the more important role of playing a new mom. The words “this season” were mentioned at the end, so maybe there is hope.
In a Canadian radio show she did say she wanted out of her contract because this season there was not going to be alot of sara.So i guess this mag article is full of it, it was Sarah herself who wanted out of PB she was not fired.I wonder if all this hype is to keep people tuned in and she really won’t be off the show.
What does this mean ah??!!She is the prison break in the essential role,I really miss her.I can only say that please come back Sara!!~~~~
what annoys me is all the build up for the relationship (TWO seasons!!!) with so very little pay-off. i feel toyed with and strung along.

wanna watch romance?…watch Linc and his new love interest this year. aren’t all women want Linc to take his shirt off and have a hot sex scene. after that you all will forget about MiSa.
