OlderSarah Wayne Callies: FOX Made Me Quit
According to an interview in French magazine Tele Star, former Prison Break star Sarah Wayne Callies, aka Dr. Sara Tancredi, was forced to quit the show. Here is a rough translation of the interview (if the magazine is credible):
Big surprise on Prison Break. We hear that you’re leaving the show in the third season. Yes, but I didn’t have the choice. I’m sad, but it’s just show business.
You weren’t expecting this? No, at the end of season 2 last year. I was sure I’d continue. It’s such a great adventure we achieved.
How did you know you were fired? I don’t want to speculate too much about this. I was shocked.
Your leaving the show was a big deal. You have to tell us more! I’ll just say this. I am sorry to let down the viewers. I have loved the support Sara Tancredi got from them. and though she was a victim of her own destiny, I liked how she made decisions by herself. But the way things ended up couldn’t have been foreseen. Again, I was deceived by the decision.
How did your fellow actors react? They told me ‘It’s too bad. I loved working with you and good luck, we hope we can work together again.’
And Wentworth [Miller]? We were so sad that we wouldn’t work together anymore. Wentworth is a gentleman. He’s gracious and full of class. And i learned a lot from him. But in a series like “Prison Break,” apart from Wentworth, anyone can go. When I took the role of Sara, I thought it’d be for only a year. Afterwards, I was so happy to get a second year.
If they call you back, will you accept? Of course! I don’t have another role right now. Right now, I need to find work.
How will Sara make her exit from the series? I don’t know. I’m not part of the team anymore and don’t have any influence on the storyline.
How is being a mom to baby Keala? It’s a rich experience and unpredictable. You can’t plan anything. (Keala was born in July 2007.)
What projects do you currently have today? I’ll rest another month in Vancouver (Canada). Afterwards, I’ll go to California for a little bit. After that, I’d like to do theater in New York. I honed my skills on the stage and I miss it.

i can’t believe they killed sara. im so shocked. and the death was the worst way possible. i refuse to watch this show now and so do my friends. its been boycoyyed. fox fu..ing sucks. huge dissappointment. whats left to watch. micheal and sarah really helped boost the shows rating and now sarahs dead. its all sad and bad things and dissappointments. im dissappointed.

They killed a character off a show (a show where people die all the time), they didn’t punch your mom. Get some perspective people, goodness! There was never a happy ending in the cards for MiSa.
SWC herself stated EVERYONE in the show is expendable (except Went), so she should have expected that anything could happen to her character. She’s a good actress, she’ll work again when she’s ready.

I really love both of them. why did they fired sarah? how about their dates? the date that michael promised to sara? it will not happened anymore…..??? how sad… everyone’s really waiting for that scene. please tell us that sara ’s still remain in the cast! pleassssssssseeeee……

She didn’t get “kicked off”. She was totally unprofessional when it came to negotiations and they eventually decided to proceed without her. It won’t be long before she gains a rep for being “difficult” and can’t find work any more.
the michael/sara relationship is the only reason i tune in 2 prison break every week(without fail). now that sara’s gone, i guess there’s no reason for me 2 tune in 2 prison break anymore, isn’t it? guess fox’s gonna lose a big number of fans after this. i still love sara thoh. sarah, u got all my support and all your fans’ out here!! *loves*

I am really sad . My name is Sara and. What was Fox and the Crew members thinking. Micheal and Sara were fond of each other. I think Fox should bring her back so they can get closer (Micheal and Sara) I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER FOX NETWORK.

Polls show more than 40 % of the fans (male or female) have cut down or totally stopped watching the show because of inhumane way Sara was removed from the show…. Haven’t any of u Einsteins realized that the head in the box DOESN’T look like that of Sara ???? Infact I think u guys should compare that head to Angelina Jolie, hell Angelina Jolie alive has more similarities with that head than SWC dead !!! I really doubt it if the writers won’t come around and bring SWC back…. And there’s something I have for a sum1 called Crystal the ***** : People in here who say Sara was a crappy character, well I guess u like to watch whores and ******* play the lead role because u can imagine woman in negative roles…. He is about 6′2″ according to some who have met him. In “Over There” he is considerably taller than most of the other actors [which you can compare somewhat when they are in line up]. In “Brothers & Sisters” I’ve noticed he seems to use the “Tom Sellick Magnum P I” stance [knees a bit bent and legs about hip width]. He seems taller than Matthew Rhys, who is listed at 5′11″, but then MacFarlane is listed at 5′10″ so who knows what MR’s actual height may be.
I think Shara, must go back to the show, this show needs a female face to make balance with the theme, it supousse to have a happy end.
I just don’t know if this is true or not but, being french, i would not say Tele Star is a very credible mag…
