OlderGwyneth Paltrow: Spain… on the Road Again!
Gwyneth Paltrow, in a pair of patent gray lace-ups, grabs dinner at the famed Castilian restaurant “Casa Lucio” in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday — her last meal before embarking on a foodie road trip in search of the perfect meal.
The 35-year-old Oscar winner, chef Mario Batali and New York Times food columnist Mark Bittman set off today on a road trip through Spain for a 13-part TV series, Spain … On The Road Again.
“I am ‘supercontenta‘ to be here,” Gwyn said Tuesday at a press conference to announce her upcoming reality TV series. “I was having dinner with Mario, and he was talking about this project. I told him, ‘If you want me, I’m with you.’ He thought I was joking, and I had to persuade him I was serious. So here I am in Madrid – my friends are all jealous.”
The trio will spend much of the next four months cruising around in a fleet of Mercedes and sampling the best fare in the country. The series will air on PBS in Fall 2008.
