People can’t get enough of Jennifer Aniston!
The former Friends star is the top cover star, according to Forbes‘ first-ever analysis of the top-selling celebrity faces. Her face has collectively sold more than 5 million copies. Here’s who rounded out the top 10?

4) Angelina Jolie
5) Reese Witherspoon
6) Katie Holmes
7) Carrie Underwood
8) Jennifer Hudson [tie]
8) Valerie Bertinelli [tie]
10) Kelly Ripa
Think their analysis is hokey? Check out their formula: “We looked at the newsstand sales of the six leading celebrity weeklies– People, Star, US Weekly, In Touch Weekly, Life & Style and OK!–over a six-month period ending June 30, as supplied by the Audit Bureau of Circulations. We eliminated all non-celebrity and collage covers as well as special issues with exceptionally large rate bases. Then we counted how many more–or less–issues the celebrity’s cover sold, as compared with the magazine’s average newsstand sales. Next, we factored in the number of full covers a celebrity graced. Finally, we ranked his or her consumer appeal using data from Encino, Calif.-based polling firm E-Poll Market Research to rule out flukes.”
The biggest disappointment at the newsstand? Britney Spears with an abnormally low appeal score of 3. The only one who scored worse? Paris Hilton, who scored a 2.

She’s been featured in two cover articles in the past month about “lonely celebrities — why can’t they get a man” or some title to that effect. The tabs are using her emotional problems and her loneliness to sell their magazines. Why in the world can’t see see it? Or is she so desperate for publicity that she’s turning a blind eye to how pathetic this makes her look?
It’s these kind of articles that are feeding the current image of “Jen is desperate, she can’t keep a man”, yadda yadda yadda. If that’s the only kind of publicity she can generate, she’d be better off hiding under a rock.
One of the tabs (I forget which one and it doesn’t matter, they’re all interchangeable) is already saying she and Orlando Bloom are an item, after Bloom shot the rumor down. Maybe it was too late to cancel their print run, but the damage is done. Another prospect shot to hell. Ditto with Bradley Cooper and Ben Affleck. Not to mention all the articles about her fake engagement to Vince Vaughn and her non-relationship with Paul Sculfor who was just using her to jump-start his failing modeling career, and once that was accomplished, he took off into the night. All Aniston has to do is have her picture taken anywhere near a man’s vicinity and the tabs are all over it screaming about JEN’S NEW MAN!!! It’s getting beyond stale now. She’s turning into a laughing stock.
If Aniston is smart, she will take her $110 million, disappear for a year and completely reinvent herself. Because the way she is going now, nobody is taking her seriously any more as an actress or as a person. She’s just someone to shake your head and laugh at in the tabloids.
Congrat to Jennifer Aniston for regaining the Tabloid Queen title from Paris Hilton and Britney Spear.
I hope we can now have a weekly update of her with her weekly new boyfriend from tab and her new progress on plastic surgery.

The tabs are despicable, but they aren’t stupid. They know very well what their reader profile is. The typical tabloid reader is a female with a high school education or a GED working at a low-level job; in other words, someone who isn’t very bright. They are printing what people like you want to read and they don’t give a damn if they are lying through their teeth because they know you will believe what you want to believe, and they know you will buy their magazines as long as they keep printing bullshit you want to read. They have absolutely zero respect for you. All they want is your money. And you, like a fool, keep giving it to them. Well, you know the old saying about a fool and his money…
