The Hills stars Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port take this week’s cover of Us Weekly’s style issue. They should have Photoshopped Heidi in!!
Pictured below: A pretty-in-pink Lauren finishing up her mark make-up photo shoot on Tuesday night in Santa Monica, Calif. (mark. is cosmetics company Avon’s youth brand.) Miss Conrad was also seen sniffing the make-up and thanking her crew before she left for home. I’m not sure how famous they really are, but whatever fame they have is because they’re on an MTV show and they have some redeeming qualities. They’re famous because people like to follow celebrities and when a celebrity is not around, anything less than that will do. They’re famous because we all visit Just Jared, TMZ, Popsugar, and whatever other gossip/celebrity site. While I’m not sure these three have much to offer the public at large, 1. I don’t think they really consider themselves people who have much to offer they public at large; they’re just enjoying life; 2. look through the last 20 posts on Just Jared and tell me what value comes from any of them. Some might be famous for their careers, some famous for their genetics, but the posts rarely have anything to do with that. It’s just pics of people that we want to see pics of, nothing more.

Does Avon really think it will sell cosmetics by making an already privledged girl from Laguna Beach who has been handed things on a silver platter her whole life and now fame for nothing. She has no talent. She is not the everyday woman. And I agree that MTV’s editing is so apparant on the hills, that i cant even watch it anymore. where the truth begins and fake **** ends, who knows. Not much different between Heidi and Lauren at this point. AND SHE IS NOT PRETTY!

It’s funny that the people who find it necessary to comment about how much they loathe these individuals, still watch the show & take the time to show their distaste. If you really didn’t like the show or them, don’t waste your time creating negative comments.
Furthermore, Avon has always been a brand of the people. And whether or not Lauren was brought up in privilege and wealth shouldn’t really matter. “Growing up” in wealth is not by choice. It’s what you do with that, which makes you your own being. Wouldn’t YOU take the opportunity if you had it?
FYI people Lauren grew up with nice things but she is now on her own. She is making her own and paying for her own things. It is in the issue of Seventeen. She is very open and honest.
