OlderReese Witherspoon is Fit For Life
Reese Witherspoon casually walks back to her car in work-out clothes after leaving a friend/trainer’s house in the Pacific Palisades on Thursday.
Reese, 31, recently ranked #5 in Forbes‘ first-ever analysis of the top-selling celebrity faces. Only Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt, Scarlett Johansson and Angelina Jolie preceded her.
Here’s what Forbes said about America’s golden girl: “Witherspoon is nothing if not loved. In fact, the Oscar-winning actress is the third most-liked star on our list, with an E-score of 35. But when it comes to shilling magazines, her results are mixed. Though her Feb. 19 US Weekly cover saw newsstand sales rise some 5%, sales of her April 23 cover of the same glossy fell 6%.”

There was an odd interview with her by a reporter for the Times Online in which when he touched on “personal” matters her publicist CRAWLED INTO THE ROOM ON HANDS AND KNEES to tell him he was off limits.Why the publicist had to crawl on hands and knees was never explained. Does her staff always have to approach her as if she were the Dowager Empress of China? And why she couldn’t tell the reporter herself not to pursue personal questions was also never made clear.

As Witherspoon begins to open up a bit, I say that I can’t help feeling how strange it must have been for her last year, winning her industry’s highest accolade at the beginning of the year, her marriage falling apart at the end, all in the fierce glare of the media. Although I stress that I am not trying to pry into her private life – and I wasn’t – as I finish my question, I am startled to see her publicist suddenly come crawling into the room on her hands and knees from the hallway, where she has evidently been hiding. Without getting up, she admonishes me not to ask personal questions.
