Brad & Shiloh’s Special Daddy-Daughter Moment
Brad Pitt playfully lifts baby Shiloh, 16 months, into air in the garage of the NYC Waldorf Astoria Hotel after a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Friday morning. They don’t call him good dad Brad for nothing!
Mommy Angelina Jolie stood right beside them as they shared their special daddy-daughter moment. She toted around her favorite knit bag, the Gerard Darel Dublin 24 Hour Bag in Havana.
And if you missed it, 15+ pictures were added of Angelina picking up Maddox from school today in her pointy black boots.

The new People magazine has a small picture of Brad and Angelina which says they attended a Hurricane Katrina fundraiser on Sept.27 after the kids were in bed, which was one day after their Sept.26 appearances at the CGI. It’s a nice picture and they both look great.

Clint Eastwood said in an article in the other thread that filming of The Changeling begins in 2 weeks, so around the 21st or so? Today is the 5th and week of 21st would be two weeks? Or am I counting wrong? I also read an interview of an actress who is in Gone Baby Gone who is also in The Changeling and she said shooting began the end of the month.
Any thoughts on this?
Also Washington Post article said Brad and others will be in DC shortly after the beginning of 2008 for FIVE weeks to film State of Play. So maybe part of State of Play is also to be shot in LA area.

After three years of knowing each other these two still can’t bear more than a day or two out of each other’s sight. THAT tells me more than interviews saying they love each other sooooo much.
Remember Tom Cruise? He said he loved Katie every five minutes. Was it believable? Not to me. Definitely a case of overkill.
During one of the first interviews Angie gave about her and Brad’s relationship she underscored the fact that she and Brad had long talks about family and children and being in this for the long haul. A long term commitment, not just a hormone driven love affair based on a movie set attraction. Everyone knows that that first hot rush of attraction settles down into having to live with the day to day grind. She wanted to make very sure she wasn’t bringing a man into Maddox’s life that wouldn’t be there for him long term. It had been just her and Mad happily living their life for too long for Angie to make a mistake in that regard.
If Brad hadn’t proven to her that he was the man for her she would not have gone forward. Nothing could have spoken more loudly of her love for this man than getting pregnant with his child. Nothing speaks more loudly for long term commitment than their adoption of two more children to love.
Do these two love each other? I don’t have to hear them say the words in public. Indeed, I think their love for each other is so powerful that words just cheapen what they feel for each other. I see them living their love affair every day, in every way possible.
I pray that with all the pressures on them nothing can come between them. The world is a better place for this kind of example. What I don’t understand is why people wouldn’t celebrate their example instead of tearing them down for the stupidest things. Hopefully they ignore the media on every level and just keep on doing what they do best.

Ameena, i dont mean to be insultive but, you do know that these two parents must have experienced countless such tender moments with their baby and their other kids in these past, nearly threee years now, right?
It is only the PUBLIC (including us, their fans and well-wishers) for whom these moments are so AWWWWWWWWWWWWW-inspiring and remarkable.
Y’know, this is what bothers me sometimes: we get to see infinitisemal snapshots of the J-Ps life through these pap pix and the haterz use them to concoct all sorts of scenarios about the hows and the whys and the where-fores of B&A, their kids, their relationship, etc.
We fans shouldnt do the reverse: that is, use the same pix to create some fantasy of what the J-Ps life must be like. Look and enjoy but lets not get carried away - even if in the opposite direction of the haterz.
These are the kinds of pix that should allow us fans to reinforce the fact that, despite their hectic, globe-trotting, lifestyle, in the final analysis, Brad and Angie, in their domestic life, are not unlike any other parents in the way in which they show their love for and interact with their children and each other.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the dress Shiloh is wearing now the same dress Zahara wore in the first official pictures of Shiloh in People magazine? It’s not a big thing, but I like that Jolie tries to use everything she has to the fullest. Waste not, want not. I’m not sure, but I bet that’s a rare principle to live by for people in their positions.

Hiya Guli, I don’t know if you are still here or not, I have been around, mostly lurking and it has been real busy for me this past week; but I am doing good. How are you? I agree, the pictures are so sweet and adorable with Brad and Shi; just a beautiful moment and I love the pic of him and Z in Central Park as well. The man loves been a dad, he waited a long time to be one; and he is loving every moment of it. He got four beautiful kids and a great woman. So happy for him, actually I am happy for all of them. Many thanks. Ed Norton is filmng the Hulk, right? So he has to complete that before beginning State of Play.
It usually takes Clint Eastwood like a month to complete a film. He is known as a no nonsense director whose cast has to be prepared and ready to go. JohnMal is in The Changeling also, so he finishes Burn After Reading with Brad, and then goes right back to work this time with Angelina.
Sounds like Angelina and Brad and the little ones will be in LA for a couple of months.

You know as much as I like to see pics of this family, I think it is going a bit to far!!! I mean it is one thing when they are out on a public street or something, but they are trying to keep low profile and are in the underground parking garage of the Waldorf for crying out loud!!! It is not where anyone can see them!!! This is exactly the reason they always carry their kids!! I would be terrified if I were them of these crazy people stalking them might grab one of the kids!!!! And even if they try to keep it low people are there. It looks like they hope it will just die down so they keep going about thier business, but from reading the comments on some of these sites I find that not likely, since so many seem to be absolutly rabid to see them.
About to go to bed & saw these cute pictures of Brad $ shiloh, like a magnet I stayed up a bit & check everything including the newer comments made by fans.I was really so happy to see all these pictures today before the weekends, usually, they don’t have pictures on the weekends except last week.I can’t help but admire them.
Showbiz Tonight had a very positive segment on Brad. They usually repeat stories on the weekend so you might be able to catch it then. IT SHOWED HIS VERY FIRST TV INTERVIEW, HE WAS SOO YOUNG. The theme was how he has changed since then.

Your point of view is well taken. However, the paps have taken pixs of them in this location before. As recently as last Monday the paps took pixs of Angie, Mad, Zee, and Pax with their school bags in this exact location, and then pixs of Zee popped up with her hair in a natural style, and the hair police chimed in. Also when they were leaving and going out of town a couple of weeks ago the paps took pixs of them loading the car preparing to leave. Brad saw the paps, but went on getting everyone and all their luggage loaded. So they are most likely aware that with a long range lens pixs may be taken in this location and they can live with that. Brad has said that they are going to try their best to live their lives as they have been. The difference here is that now they have decided that Shiloh is old enough to go out with the family and more pixs of Shiloh are now being taken. They knew that would happen.
The pixs are very sweet and just show a loving father and his baby daughter.

TAOJJ started today in Seattle. It received very good reviews from this one critic that I truly dislike. In the past he has not given Brad very good reviews for his films. Brad will never ever leave Angelina and their kids. No matter what any liars and tabloids may say, this man is the happiest he can be. Unfortunately, excellence does not always equal boxoffice bonanza. But Forest Whitaker won for Last King of Scotland which did not exactly set the boxoffice on fire. Charlize Theron was nominated for North County, which was disappointing at the boxoffice. And so on and so forth. But that’s the point of the Oscars/GG and other awards, isn’t it? To reward excellent acting/directing/writing, whether the movie made money or not.

The architecture, engineering, mechanics and electricity students come from German, Spanish, Canadian and American universities.
“They have to design, build, operate the most liveable, energy efficient, completely solar-powered house,” Energy Department spokesman Chris Powers told AFP.
The department gave each team 100,000 dollars, which Powers admitted is not enough to build a house but helps the contestants get their projects started. It is up to the students to find sponsors to pay for the construction.
The winner’s prize: “nothing but prestige,” said Powers.
Most teams, consisting of 20 to 40 students, began their projects two years ago.
Students of Germany’s Darmstadt University of Technology built a 38-tonne house made entirely of glass. They began designing it in May 2006 and started construction a year later.
After a tricky ocean voyage from Germany to Baltimore, a port city north of Washington, the house made it to the Mall.
“Now it’s there, perfectly on time,” said Darmstadt student Christian Stumpf.
Nearby, University of Texas students don hardhats in the shape of cowboy hats. Their house features an orange bowl-shaped, solar-heated hot tub.
“The plus of our house is the fun of it,” boasted Texas student Sutton Giese.
Sixteen US universities are participating in the contest, including the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Penn State and the winner of the 2002 and 2005 Solar Decathlon, the University of Colorado.
In addition to Darmstad, Europe is represented by Polytechnic University of Madrid. Canada features Team Montreal, which includes McGill University, University of Montreal and Ecole de Technologie Superieure.
This year, Powers said, “We have to hope for the sun. Last time it rained the entire time of the contest.”

You know what their priorities are and the priority isnt time spent with kids.

don`t worry about them!!!because always one of them is with kids while another is working.and it is what our parents does too.they work and earn money for kids to have better life,my father also works 16 hours a day but when he came back home ,he always played with us and I never feel that they didn`t care about us or we were not their priorities.because even their working were for us not for themselves.
I think among other celebs with kids brad and angie try to spend more times with their kids as we saw in prague and in NYC while brad was busy working, he taked his kids to park,kidville,toystore etc etc,so I can tell you kids are their first priorities as they themselves also said that and we can see that too.

Sure, they have many movies in the pipeline. There’s nothing wrong with having many movie projects in their inventory. So far, we’ve seen one parent works on a movie while the other parent stays home. The children are very lucky to have either parent home all the time. How many parents can have this set up?
Burn after Reading may not be finished by the time Angie starts Changeling. And even if the 2 movies are filming simultaneously, they can still ARRANGE their DAYS so that one parent stay home on certain days while another parent is filming. That’s the best set up. And nothing’s wrong with that.

You don’t know much about film making do you? The stars take their kids to the set all the time. I doubt Angelina will be different when she is filming this movie. The kids will join her in her trailer any time she wants them to. And movie making has lots of down time. I’ve heard the actors complain about waiting, waiting, waiting. Lots of actresses have taken up knitting to kill the down time. I’d bet Angie will be playing with her kids. Maddox was certainly on the set of M/M Smith. Now there will be four kids on the set. These children won’t be neglected in any way. They probably see both their parents more than a lot of kids who have parents doing the 9-5 routine.

Thanks for posting the link for preggy-jolie’s video. I absolutely loved it. And while I would understand ___-weary people not wanting to see it, it’s hardly a tribute to the alleged ‘Golden Age’. In fact, it’s far from it, which is probably why certain people want to put a lid on this and stifle other people’s creativity.

Brad Pitt has reached a turning point. To the public he is one of Hollywood’s hottest actors. Together with wife Angelina Jolie he forms one of the most famous partnerships in the world. They are even a word in their own right: “Brangelina”. However, Pitt no longer wants to be seen as just eye candy. Can he makes us see him any differently?
We meet, waiting for a lift in a hotel in Deauville, France. Our rooms are next door to one another. Jolie is at Pitt’s side, sleek in black. She has just put the children to bed. He inquires affectionately if they are asleep. She replies that they are. The couple seem relaxed and happy.
Outside a milling crowd held back by a fully holstered squad of French police awaits their appearance.
Pitt starts talking about his new film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which is having its premiere at the town’s film festival. His role as James won him Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival.
“I hope they like the film,” he comments in his syrupy Missouri drawl, taking a sip from the glass of champagne that he’s holding, “because it is a really slow-burn picture. If you think this version is long, you should have seen the four-and-a-half-hour one. This is the fast-track one.”
This version is a mere two and a half hours long. It has taken Pitt about a decade to get it on the screen and he takes the role of Jesse James, the legendary 19th-century American outlaw, and is also one of the producers, with Ridley Scott.
“It’s a delicious film and it was a real joy for me because I really wanted to make it,” he tells me. “My choice to make it was not about how well it would do. Film-making is a crapshoot and as I don’t bet on the horses this is my gamble. It will find a time and place for itself. I believe all good films do. It will sit and breathe like a good wine. This film isn’t the popular version of the swash-buckling Jesse James. It’s more of a throwback to some of those complex, complicated films of the 1970s.
“It hasn’t got a lot of dialogue and is what our director [the New Zealander Andrew Dominik] calls ‘a plotless film with no nude scenes’! Everybody keeps asking where is the nude scene of me in the bath? We never shot one.”
The film is a poetic meditation on a murder and its consequences. It is set in the last year of James’s life, when he is planning his next great robbery and waging war on his enemies, who are trying to collect the reward money - and the glory - that is riding on his capture.
It is also a time when he and his young devotee, Robert Ford, played by Casey Affleck, the brother of Ben Affleck, had certain psychological scores to settle. The assassination happens in James’s own home, when he is shot in the back by “the coward” Ford, who harbours a grudge that his feelings for James have not been reciprocated. “James is at a point in his life when he feels psychologically bad about what he has to do to protect himself,” Pitt expands. “He is self-absorbed and he is almost the last figure of the ‘old’ America, living in the Robber State, Missouri, a state that people emigrating from East to West would skirt around. I’m actually from the same area in Missouri that he was. He lived in a changing America, with a lawless, unsettled country behind and a modern, electrified America with telephones, cars and a new government ahead.”
Pitt thinks James was “one of the first American superstars. There are aspects of his celebrity that I absolutely understand. One is the byproduct of celebrity - being hunted. He was a man hunted with a bounty on his head. That can happen to me but at least nobody is pointing a gun at me, as Robert Ford did at Jesse.”
Jesse James is Pitt’s 30th film, and he has come a long way from his middle-America beginnings: born in Oklahoma, growing up in Springfield, Missouri, where he went to the unlikely named Kicka-poo High School.
The son of a businessman in trucking, he’s the eldest of three in a close-knit, strict Baptist family. He is still very linked to his hometown, donating $100,000 (£49,000) to the Discovery Center, a children’s learning museum there.
Pitt first came to public attention in a 1991 Levi’s ad, and his gorgeous body was again famously on display as a sexy drifter in Thelma and Louisethe same year.
He has long since tempered his pin-up prettiness with muscles, fire and brimstone, in films that include playing the Greek warrior Achilles in a skirt in the swords-and-sandals epic-drama Troy, Fight Club, Seven, Snatch and the lively Mr & Mrs Smith with Jolie. They met on the set of the film, in which they played married assassins, in 2003. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in Legends of the Fall and won one for Twelve Monkeys (for which he was also Oscar nominated).
Now, at 43, he has his own family, a daughter with Jolie, and is father to her three adopted children. “I think I’m about at the halfway mark now I am over 40,” he says. “I guess the direction gets clearer and the haze clears and you really focus on what you want to focus on as you get older.”
That would include carving a reputation as a respected producer, as with A Mighty Heart, starring Jolie as Mariane Pearl, the widow of the Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, who was beheaded by jihadist militants while reporting in Karachi in 2002. James Christopher, The Times’s chief film critic, raved that Jolie’s performance as Mariane had “rigour and passion”.
“I was very taken with Mariane’s story, and Angelina knew her independently from me,” Pitt says. “It was important for me to be a part of the film, even though there was no acting role for me. Through the producing I got to take part in the film and see it through to the end. That’s the producer’s job: make sure things stay on the rails. It’s a really interesting side to film-making - we don’t have to be in front of the camera.”
He adds that he is working on several projects and “plans to tell some great stories” with Brad Grey, his partner in the film company Plan B. While he produces, Jolie is starring in a high-action thriller coincidentally called The Assassin, jumping off and on trains and training young assassins. “We have two boys at home who are very happy about it,” he says.

I just read the Marie Claire article on Brad. So this is just three months before their official separation and Brad is saying they’re doing great, he says many complimentary things about their marriage, and says he’s not quite ready for kids yet. Because he is still too selfish and wants Jen to himself.
I have to wonder what he was saying at home to Jen, because if it’s the same type of things she must have been really shocked when he wanted to split up the next January. Things must have gone down hill in a hurry.

Brad Pitt has reached a turning point. To the public he is one of Hollywood’s hottest actors. Together with wife Angelina Jolie he forms one of the most famous partnerships in the world. They are even a word in their own right: “Brangelina”. However, Pitt no longer wants to be seen as just eye candy. Can he makes us see him any differently?
We meet, waiting for a lift in a hotel in Deauville, France. Our rooms are next door to one another. Jolie is at Pitt’s side, sleek in black. She has just put the children to bed. He inquires affectionately if they are asleep. She replies that they are. The couple seem relaxed and happy.
Outside a milling crowd held back by a fully holstered squad of French police awaits their appearance.
Pitt starts talking about his new film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which is having its premiere at the town’s film festival. His role as James won him Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival.
“I hope they like the film,” he comments in his syrupy Missouri drawl, taking a sip from the glass of champagne that he’s holding, “because it is a really slow-burn picture. If you think this version is long, you should have seen the four-and-a-half-hour one. This is the fast-track one.”
This version is a mere two and a half hours long. It has taken Pitt about a decade to get it on the screen and he takes the role of Jesse James, the legendary 19th-century American outlaw, and is also one of the producers, with Ridley Scott.
“It’s a delicious film and it was a real joy for me because I really wanted to make it,” he tells me. “My choice to make it was not about how well it would do. Film-making is a crapshoot and as I don’t bet on the horses this is my gamble. It will find a time and place for itself. I believe all good films do. It will sit and breathe like a good wine. This film isn’t the popular version of the swash-buckling Jesse James. It’s more of a throwback to some of those complex, complicated films of the 1970s.
“It hasn’t got a lot of dialogue and is what our director [the New Zealander Andrew Dominik] calls ‘a plotless film with no nude scenes’! Everybody keeps asking where is the nude scene of me in the bath? We never shot one.”
The film is a poetic meditation on a murder and its consequences. It is set in the last year of James’s life, when he is planning his next great robbery and waging war on his enemies, who are trying to collect the reward money - and the glory - that is riding on his capture.
It is also a time when he and his young devotee, Robert Ford, played by Casey Affleck, the brother of Ben Affleck, had certain psychological scores to settle. The assassination happens in James’s own home, when he is shot in the back by “the coward” Ford, who harbours a grudge that his feelings for James have not been reciprocated. “James is at a point in his life when he feels psychologically bad about what he has to do to protect himself,” Pitt expands. “He is self-absorbed and he is almost the last figure of the ‘old’ America, living in the Robber State, Missouri, a state that people emigrating from East to West would skirt around. I’m actually from the same area in Missouri that he was. He lived in a changing America, with a lawless, unsettled country behind and a modern, electrified America with telephones, cars and a new government ahead.”
Pitt thinks James was “one of the first American superstars. There are aspects of his celebrity that I absolutely understand. One is the byproduct of celebrity - being hunted. He was a man hunted with a bounty on his head. That can happen to me but at least nobody is pointing a gun at me, as Robert Ford did at Jesse.”
Jesse James is Pitt’s 30th film, and he has come a long way from his middle-America beginnings: born in Oklahoma, growing up in Springfield, Missouri, where he went to the unlikely named Kicka-poo High School.
The son of a businessman in trucking, he’s the eldest of three in a close-knit, strict Baptist family. He is still very linked to his hometown, donating $100,000 (£49,000) to the Discovery Center, a children’s learning museum there.
Pitt first came to public attention in a 1991 Levi’s ad, and his gorgeous body was again famously on display as a sexy drifter in Thelma and Louisethe same year.
He has long since tempered his pin-up prettiness with muscles, fire and brimstone, in films that include playing the Greek warrior Achilles in a skirt in the swords-and-sandals epic-drama Troy, Fight Club, Seven, Snatch and the lively Mr & Mrs Smith with Jolie. They met on the set of the film, in which they played married assassins, in 2003. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in Legends of the Fall and won one for Twelve Monkeys (for which he was also Oscar nominated).
Now, at 43, he has his own family, a daughter with Jolie, and is father to her three adopted children. “I think I’m about at the halfway mark now I am over 40,” he says. “I guess the direction gets clearer and the haze clears and you really focus on what you want to focus on as you get older.”
That would include carving a reputation as a respected producer, as with A Mighty Heart, starring Jolie as Mariane Pearl, the widow of the Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, who was beheaded by jihadist militants while reporting in Karachi in 2002. James Christopher, The Times’s chief film critic, raved that Jolie’s performance as Mariane had “rigour and passion”.
“I was very taken with Mariane’s story, and Angelina knew her independently from me,” Pitt says. “It was important for me to be a part of the film, even though there was no acting role for me. Through the producing I got to take part in the film and see it through to the end. That’s the producer’s job: make sure things stay on the rails. It’s a really interesting side to film-making - we don’t have to be in front of the camera.”
He adds that he is working on several projects and “plans to tell some great stories” with Brad Grey, his partner in the film company Plan B. While he produces, Jolie is starring in a high-action thriller coincidentally called The Assassin, jumping off and on trains and training young assassins. “We have two boys at home who are very happy about it,” he says.

That interview was a cut and paste job. The comment about still being too selfish, Brad said in Details magazine in 2000. The interview took place while he was filming Spy Game and was for the Snatch promotion. Snatch came out in the U.S. in Jan. of 2001.
The Details interview came out in January of 2001.

It started filming in Jan. 2004. They had to break at the end of April 2004 for Brad to go and film O12. The resumed filming in late Aug/early Sept. 2004 through the end of Oct. 2004. Re-shoots began in March of 2005 through early April 2005.
I’m just going to delete the video if it creates such a F*cking contraversy..Ughh!

QQQQ, I guess they are both done with pleasing people and they just want to do what they feel is right. Brad wants to make good quality films that are probably oscar worthy and they hope that people who have the taste for high quality movies and the messages they convey will appreciate them rather than focusing on the box office numbers.
