Born-out-of-wedlock Shiloh has very good company. Jack Henry and Miles Robbins (sons of Tim and Susan Sarandon), Wyatt Russell (son of Kurt and Goldie Hawn), Alexandra Baryshnikov (daughter of Mikhail and Jessica Lange) and Hanna and Walker Shepard (daughter and son of Sam and Jessica Lange). I myself wouldn’t have a child out of wedlock, but I will not condemn and judge other people for doing so — they have their reasons, and I have mine.

kay, I thought so too. Too obvious when those things happened.

I also got one thery, remember Angie was a member of CAA same with Brad & the X. When this divorce are still fresh all the media is speculating about Brad & Angelina. Some media are talking but not attacking below the belt. When Angelina break away from CAA we saw non-stop nastiness towards Angelina. Brad not too much since he was still a CAA member.

Please. The minute Jennifer gave the VF interview the tide turned. (Before then most of the questions was about Jennifer not wanting to have a baby or Were Angelina and Brad together)

Then the media had the perfect storm. Jennifer whining and crying and having her friends blame everything on Brad. Or more importantly for the media blaming Angelina’s relationship with Brad. Putting one woman against another. Bad girl vs Good girl. Stealing hussy vs All American Girl.

The tabs did not and still does not need the CAA help on this story. They have been playing this game for a long time.

I see that the lowlife who tried to stir up $hit using AMC’s Shootout hasn’t showed up today. Where are you? I mean, the two Peters talked about A Mighty Heart this morning. But wait a minute, they weren’t negative, so that would account for the silence.

Today, the two Peters discussed whether the movies have become depressing lately. Peter Bart talked about how, in the past, the studios made a concerted effort to produce counterprogramming, specifically, romantic and screwball comedies, musicals, and uplifting epics during wartime and the Depression; Bart also noted that the government supported the studios efforts. Gruber argued that if the studios didn’t want movies about dark subjects like Iraq or the Middle East, all they have to do is not give fund these movies. He also stated that very few filmmakers are willing to invest years of their lives coming up with fluff; the filmmakers want to invest that time in something they believe in.

They then had the film critic, her last name is Thompson, on to discuss this trend. This was the same woman they talked to months ago when they talked about why AMH didn’t do well at the box office. Her contention is that small budget movies like AMH and The Valley of Elah will ultimately do fine, but bigger budget movies like The Kingdom need to worry. They also talked about The Brave One, saying that it isn’t doing well at all. Thompson said that, like Angelina, Jodie Foster have a strong female following; however, for the most part, the core audience couldn’t handle the subject matter.

Thompson also said that with attention from Oscar, box office for the smaller films can increase exponentially, just like with Syriana. They hoped that movies like The Kite Runner will benefit from Oscar buzz.

So yet again, Peter Bart and Peter Gruber stated that AMH was a good movie, but the audience can’t handle dark, depressing, and challenging films.

So yet again, Peter Bart and Peter Gruber stated that AMH was a good movie, but the audience can’t handle dark, depressing, and challenging films.

This discussion started with the 9/11 movies last year. Also this year Chistine Bale movie “Recsue Dawn” got no play for the same reason. People at this time rather see Wild Hogs, The Game or some silly rom com than serious deep movies. Same reason why AOJJ will probably not do well. I frankly think DVD is the reason. People want to have fun when they go out and they know there is always DVD to watch these other films.
