I don’t understand why anyone is still disputing or worried about critic’s opinions about the quality of A Mighty Heart or Jolie’s performance. That verdict was in a long time ago. Everyone may not all share the same opinion about it, but the critics overwhelmingly praised the film and even more overwhelmingly praised Jolie. Her performance is one of the few this year that has been called Oscar worthy from the start. Winterbottom’s film is riveting and for brief moments in the film accomplishes the almost impossible feat of making you forget the real life ending and hope for a rescue. Ron Howard did that with his best work, Apollo 13.

The little gang of psychologically disturbed Jolie haters have bragged about going all over the internet and to the media to deliberately trash AMH, which you know they didn’t see, and to trash Jolie in particular. Besides spreading mean spirited lies about her and her children, they visit movie sites and papers, etc and wherever they could they would leave poor scores or bad reviews about AMH. They do it with Pitt’s films as well. They were doing this from the movie’s release date and their comments are so transparent they’re almost laughable. Meanwhile movie viewers who really saw the movie were stunned at the mostly stupid comments or seemed to realize there was almost a campaign against it. The movie also attracted a lot of antiSemitic and political attacks because of Danny Pearl and the nature of the film.

These Jolie attackers seemingly know no boundaries and the anonymity of the internet emboldens them. Like a gang of wilding teenage girls, they encourage each other to step up the intensity of their hate against Jolie and her children. It’s pretty easy to see who fits their profile: female, angry and powerless over something in their lives. Jolie makes a perfect strawman for them.

Brad told Britain’s Hello! magazine: “Look, we’re just a normal family - Ange, the kids and me. We have a mother, a father, the kids get unruly and it’s our responsibility to show them around and help shape them.

“We carve out our time so that we get group time and they all get individual time, and we try to carve out some time for us too - but if something’s got to go, it’s usually that time.”

Brad also explained adjusting to fatherhood took some time.

He said: “It’s not an overnight thing at all - more like a gradual learning process of what fatherhood means, defining for yourself what kind of father you want to be, how to feel worthy of carrying the name of ‘father’.”

We see him out with them. He does NOT take care of them. Angelina once said that she packs their stuff for their travela, she gets them ready for school and for bed. And, like him, she takes them out and plays with them.

The question is why a 44 years old man just can’t grow up. I

I had a brief chat with Brad Pitt Thursday morning, arranged by the actor’s people to promote “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.” Pitt declined to delve into anything too personal about significant other Angelina Jolie, except to shrug off the numerous celebrity magazine claims that the couple was breaking up.

“[That's] so nuts, it’s not worth responding to. … They should have been with us last night as we were up with two of our kids, who were up all night with a cold. … Things are just great.”

I just got back from out of town, and what a wonderful treat to see these beautiful father-daughter pictures!
