Zac Efron gives the a-okay as BFF costar Nikki Blonsky flashes the victory sign at the Hairspray Japan Premiere on Thursday Tokyo, Japan. Zikki was joined director Adam Shankman.
Shankman recently cautioned that Zac “probably should back away from musicals for a while now. The best thing he could do is more drama or a comedy and cultivate a male audience. It’s always tough when your audience is so heavily skewed in one direction.”

Ok, I dislike Nikki as much as the next person. I think she’s too flirty with Zac and I do think she needs to back off, considering he has a girlfriend and all. I feel the same way about Ashley Tisdale too.
However, I do NOT condone insulting Nikki Blonsky because of her weight. That’s just plain rude, immature, and very, VERY stupid. I think she’s beautiful, and just because she isn’t aneroxically skinny like everyone thinks celebrites are SUPPOSED to be, doesn’t make her any less beautiful.
So for those of you who don’t like her because she’s constantly all over Zac, fine, I’ll accept that. Because I feel the same way. But those of you who don’t like her because of the way she looks (or use that as an excuse) need to get a major reality check. Because people come in all shapes and sizes, and they’re ALL beautiful.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big Zac and Vanessa fan, but I’m real enough to know that Zac and Nikki are just friends. And Nikki’s a talented actress who’s already starred in her 2nd film. She’s beautiful.. she’s got a great smile and she looks like she’s alot fun.
People who makes fun of her, what’s your excuse? Is it because she’s taking pictures of Zac? Because you guys live vicariously through the romance of Zac and Vanessa? Well, that’s bad form. She’s a great girl and just doing her job… which is to take pix w/Zac for the movie they did together. Remember, she gets paid to do this. Btw, wouldn’t you smile big if Zac was standing next to you w/his arm around you?
