Zac Efron gives the a-okay as BFF costar Nikki Blonsky flashes the victory sign at the Hairspray Japan Premiere on Thursday Tokyo, Japan. Zikki was joined director Adam Shankman.
Shankman recently cautioned that Zac “probably should back away from musicals for a while now. The best thing he could do is more drama or a comedy and cultivate a male audience. It’s always tough when your audience is so heavily skewed in one direction.”

Haha, totally agree with you #166. Oh, also, keep saying the word Zikki, Jared! It’s very funny to see all the “Zanessa 4ever!!!11!” people get all pissed off. Obviously they feel threatened by the idea of Zac and Nikki together because Zac and Vanessa are bound to break up eventually, because, hello, they’re celebrities and celebrities break up all the time.
JJ, I really think you should quit on posting the word Zikki. Aren’t you a Zanessa supporter? Like me???
I really don;t like Zikki. I mean, they’re better of friends. But guy-girl friends could sort of develop feelings for eachtother and if they do consider dating. it might ruin their friendship. All you Zikki shippers and Vanessa/Zanessa haters, why do you hate it? Zanessa’s the cutest couple ever!!! They seem like a strong couple and they look in love. Zikki’s just icky. Vanessa’s a gorgeous person inside and out. I think they’re jealous or they like Zikki and Nikki better.
P.S.: I wonder how much Nikki weighs. She looks very obese. She’s only 17 or 18, right? That could affect her life and she might be diagnosed with something! I worry for that girl!

I just finished watching Miracle Run on youtube.com and I was reminded how good an actor Zac is. I forgot how good he was in it. I hope he is offered another dramatic role to show his range.
As far as Nikki is concerned, she is a good actress that is getting ripped by fans because of her interaction with Zac. Thankfully, Zac and Vanessa are secure enough in their relationship that there does not appear to be a problem among them. I am pretty sure they would not like one of their friends getting such a nasty response because of them.

#167 - You should not be so harsh about the Hairspray promotions. Not only is Zac doing his job to promote te film, keep in mind that a LOT of adults who will never see the HSM TV movies are going to have their first exposure to Zac in Hairspray. And what a major debut it is - not only does he look fabulous (especially with his hair up and out of his beautiful eyes) he shows remarkable range as a singer/actor that is miles removed from the simpler HSM format. Mr. Shankman and the cinematographer present Zac in the best possible light, and Zac responds wonderfully, This success, more than HSM, is Zac’s ticket to his future movie roles, and all Zac fans should get behind efforts to make it even more successful. I’ve already pre-ordered my Blu-Ray DVD at Amazon, and also five more regular copies to use as stoking stuffers for Xmas!

I would love to see Zac in a romantic comedy but I feel sorry for the female lead if it is someone other than V. People, lighten up! He is a good actor. If you want to continue to see his work, get used to seeing him with other actresses. I don’t think he and Vanessa are insecure about their relationship so why are fans?

you guys need to calm down about the Zikki stuff. It’s not a huge deal. By dissing Nikki you’re not being a good fan of Zac’s and that’s just wrong. Nikki is an amazing person and is very talented. If Zanessa is over than Zanessa is over. There’s nothing you can do about it. But Zikki brings out a lot of happiness in each other. They are always practically glowing and they always compliment each other sweetly in interviews. I don’t understand why everyone makes a huge deal about Zanessa holding hands, but when Zac and Nikki hold hands no one even cares. Have you even seen the pictures from the Madrid premiere of Hairspray? They are holding hands in all the pics and in one he looks like he’s about to kiss her. They make each other really happy and that’s what matters. So please don’t diss Zac, Nikki or Zikki, because it’s not fair to either of them

Exactly. There are no photographs of him and Nikki having leisure time together. Only of them at the premieres and doing promotions for ‘Hairspray’.
Yes, Nikki is a great aspiring actress and I continue to congratulate her on her efforts and success. I am not bashing her or Zac whatsoever, but I’m just pointing out that there is no such thing as ‘Zikki’.
I’m trying standing up for what I believe in and I’ll just hope that the majority of you people will understand what I’ve just said and not bash my thoughts.
