Vanessa Hudgens @ Burbank Airport
A solo Vanessa Hudgens catches a flight out of Burbank Airport early Friday morning.
The High School Musical star, dressed in an uber cute blouse, was joined by a small security team to make sure she got to her destination safely.
UPDATE 1: For all you inquiring minds, Vanessa is expected to attend Variety magazine’s “Power of Youth” special event tomorrow to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She will join HSM costar Ashley Tisdale, Miley Cyrus, Dakota Fanning, Emma Roberts, Hilary & Haylie Duff, Elijah Kelley, Sean Faris, Shawn Pyform and Raven Symone.

Not to be the spoiler on the Australia speculations but in these pictures she’s probably heading off to whichever city Variety is hosting the “Power of Youth” event this weekend. Access Hollywood reported that she is among other stars like Miley to show up at this event Variety is having to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital which I think is great for all of them to support. Maybe from there she’s going to Australia but she’s probably headed to the place of the event in these pics.

‘High School’ actress copes with pressure

The biggest challenge of being a young actress is all the pressure,” says the 18-year-old, red-hot star of “High School Musical.” “It’s almost like being a child star. You’re doing the thing you love, but all eyes are on you — all the time, and it can get to you.”
If so, Hudgens seems to be handling her rapidly increasing workload just fine, despite the hurdles of being the center of
attention. With Disney behind her, she’s now in talks to star in a third “HSM.”
Hudgens grew up in Salinas, Calif., where she sang in her local nativity play at age 3. “My dad’s a musician, but it’s not a showbiz family, and they were taken aback, so I don’t know where it came from,” she says. “But ever since, I loved dancing around the house, dressing up in costumes and acting like Catwoman and singing.”
Hudgens parlayed her early enthusiasms into starring roles in local productions of “The Wizard of Oz” and “Cinderella,” and went on to make her movie debut in “Thirteen” opposite Holly Hunter and Evan Rachel Wood. Since then, the home-schooled Hudgens has worked nonstop in both film and TV.
Like “HSM” co-star Ashley Tisdale, Hudgens also has musical ambitions, and last year she released her successful debut hip-hop/dance CD, “V.” “My main priority is acting, but I got this great opportunity to do an album, and I love singing,” she adds. “And seeing Justin Timberlake in concert inspired me to do my second album.”
Hudgens also hopes to play Maria in “West Side Story” someday but says, “I don’t really have a specific career plan. I’d just love to do movies in every genre.”
A self-confessed fashionista, the star also does promotional work for Ecko Red clothing and Neutrogena. “Down the line I also want to have my own clothing line.”
Recent breakthrough: Of “High School Musical 2’s” success, she says, “We were all shocked when the first one became so big, but this went crazy.”
Role model: “Natalie Wood. I’ve always been a huge fan. She was so graceful and made such wonderful movies.”
What’s next: “I’ve started work on my second album, and I’m reading scripts and looking for the right thing.”

Oh, I just have to tell you guys, yesterday HSM 2 premiered on DC here in Sweden. I had seen the movie on youtube (it wasn’t the best quality but since I didn’t want to get spoiled I watched it anyway) but seeing it today was even better. Also I have to tell you that even if I have seen the Vanessa pics, it didn’t affect me at all during the whole movie, you didn’t even think about it and for those who say that from now on they will only see Gabriella naked or something like that whenever they see the movies are wrong. I don’t know exactly why, maybe because I like her so much or maybe she’s that good of an actress, well, no surprise there, but trust me on this one.

Why do people keep calling her a “wanna-be?” She is one of the stars of a mega-successful francise, has a gold album, is the face of Nuetragena and was #7 on the Forbes list of highest paid Teen celebrities of 2006. She’s made it!! You don’t have to like her but quit acting like she no career before the scandal! It’s not true and it drives me nuts. It shouldn’t but it does.
I don’t think she likes all the attention and exposure she’s getting… she just acceptes it and prefers having smily pictures than the usual crunky celebs candids…

it’s funny how people want jared to get a picture of vanessa and zac kissing. i don’t think jared has control of what pictures should be taken nor do i think that zac and vanessa would show PDA in public, especially after the Hawaii pictures turned up. They’ve said it before that they want to keep their personal relationships private and knowing that the world is watching them, I highly doubt they would kiss for the paps. remember, they didn’t know people were taking pictures of them in Hawaii..
don’t get me wrong. it would be nice to see like a pic of the two holding hands at some point but you know, we can always look at old pictures of them or replay that kiss in HSM2..haha!!
