While of course there are two sides to every story and I’m sure SWC had some issues in terms of maternity leave etc, from the various statements being released including the one above it sounds like Fox execs are meddling in a storyline and that can only spell one thing…disaster! The minute, the very minute, you bring the suits in to a run a show and start ‘testing’ audiences on character development etc etc, then it makes for flawed storytelling. I am firmly a believer of keeping it real and keeping appropriate characters on board but there are at least two other main characters who could leave under the ‘nobody’s safe rule’.

While, in theory the death is a great character moment and of course, Michael’s reaction will offer Wentworth some fine acting moments. It also takes away a lot of what humanised him for us. Sara was the one person who seemed to understand the lengths he would go to, and comprehend them herself. She was an admirably flawed and believable character and for Michael’s sacrifice at the end of last season to go to jail for her to now mean nothing, cheapens the entire plot of him being in Sona. Of course, we now see revenge Michael and yes, sure, the action sequences will still hold the show up, the humanising and relatable factor of having some one you would go to any lengths for, means a massive number of fans, including myself, will find it incredibly difficult to latch onto anyone.

Sadly for SWC she has to now defend herself against accusations of the ‘difficult to work with’ tag and defend her choice to be a mother - first-time mother at that. Who are we to suggest what parenting option works best for someone - hello Fox!

Anyway, off the soapbox and sadly, it looks like, at least I will be breaking out of Sona this season. Good luck Schofield brothers, hopefully the future ladies of your lives don’t end up with fatal headwounds.

Seriously people, what would you do in their shoes? She won’t work. They have no actress to play Sarah because they’re smart knowing it wouldn’t be the same thing casting a different actress to play her. I bet people would crack it if they bought in a different actress to play her. ‘Err its not the same’ or something along the lines of that. They had no choice. They can’t continue to do anything with her, she’s not a ghost. So they HAD to kill her off.

Abruzzi and Kellerman were my fave characters, and guess what. They were both killed off, yet i still watch PB. None of you can call yourselfs true fans. Go away and watch One Tree Hill or some other crap…

As much as I was expecting Sara’s head in the box, it still did not make it any easier to watch. Michael may get over his lady love but will fans forgive Fox? I sure there could have been a better way to end Sara’s part of the story without this killing of both character and love story. I see a bit of pay back here to someonewho they say worked very hard for their show. As has been said-it makes Michael’s jail time in SONA a waste of time and a joke. As the very person he went to jail for is now dead and once again he fights to get out.

All I can say is-the shark is alive and well.

She’s a brand new mom for the very first time. She probably didn’t want to be away from her baby considering the baby needs fed every two hours - it’s too much. Normal people get six weeks of maternity leave - they were filmng right after she delivered. I bet she just chose her family over her job - women do it all the time. No need to villify anyone, guys!

The person who said that “anyone who stops watching the show because of Sarah’s death was never a true fan” must be the most cold hearted, miserable person on the planet. Prison Break is a drama, and dramas have more than just action sequences. A good drama has interesting characters that suck you in to their world week after week. Prison Break had that and more. Then they had to go and ruin it. Now Michael has no real motivation (and don’t say revenge, because that’s just a cheap gimmick that grows old fast). No matter what happens from here on out, he can never have a happy ending. We can never have a happy ending. He’ll get out and be reunited with Linc, but then what? Will he go on some murderous rampage against the people who killed Sarah? That is not even remotely the character I’ve grown to care about so much over the last two seasons. Without the romance between Sarah and Michael, the show has no heart. Unfortunately for me and many others, there is no real reason to keep watching. As for the actress not wanting to return: well that’s debatable. Maybe she did and maybe she didn’t. All I know is that there were many other options instead of killing the character that would have been more acceptable.I would have been much happier if they would have recast the part. It wouldn’t have been quite the same without SWC playing the role, but it would have been preferable to what we have now.

I’m done with this ******* show. I hope it gets cancelled. Misa/Sara is what kept the woman watching.. now their gone, the ratings is gonna sucks! *IHOPE*

I’m glad she’s gone, they were like 2 dead fish in Season 2, IMO.

I agree I”m done with Prison Break the whole Michel Sara thing was one of the best aspects of the show. Hopefully this will be the last season of pb they have totally fucked it up now. They should just kill Michael now too

I can’t say as that I blame SWC for not coming back if they were going to plan to kill her anyway. I just think that is terrible and tacky that they were going to kill her there are any number of people they could have killed they should have pitched those ideas to the producers not just killing SWC. More power to you SWC for not coming back just to be killed!

#62, I said it and No i am not a cold hearted miserable person, yes they were cute together, but they did not have some great grand love story. I like romance just as much as the next person, but I do not watch prison break for love, and yes i enjoyed moments of sara and michael, but it was not ever what held my interest, and all I am saying is that if it is what held your interest this is not the show for you. Went is the only untouchable of this show, and the sooner yall realize that the less time yall can spend thinking the world is gonna end b/c an ACTOR left the show. Also, since you called me a cold hearted miserable person, I could say that you may be a pathetic person who lives their romance through a fake couple on tv, but i wont that would be mean and just an assumption on my part. Good riddance Prison Break will be fine w.o all you “fans” of the show that will stop watching the minute a person who the show was never supposed to revolve around leaves, and anyways you know you’re still gonna watch so the good bye is pretty pointless. :)

#73 I dont mind being sad about it, but when people start saying they arent going to watch the show anymore that just annoys me b/c you havent even given it a chance and you are already writing it off. I also got a little mad when I was labeled a cold hearted miserable person b/c I am not that sad about it. You are right though, and I would like to say to all that I respect you are sad, but at least give it a chance, the foundation of the show was never sara and michael.
