Vanessa Hudgens (in Marchesa) presents the award for Star Stylist Extraordinaire at Movieline magazine’s 2007 Hollywood Life Style Awards at the Pacific Design Center on Saturday in West Hollywood, Calif.
The High School Musical star wore a cute LBD and accessesorized with long necklaces and black pumps. Vanessa also posed with Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz and Emmy Rossum.

I think she looks gorgeous. I don’t know what what it is but every time I see a picture of her there seems to be something different about her. If I didn’t know that the girl in these pictures was the same girl in the pictures from the St. Jude event on Saturday and the pictures taken in Las Vegas on Friday I don’t know that I would recognize her. Also I don’t think I would associate her with Gabriella if I didn’t know she played her. I don’t know if its her hair, make-up or just the way she carries herself but she just doesn’t “look” like Gabriella to me. I can’t quite my finger on why maybe I’m just nuts. LOL.

You know none of the other “Bad Girls” of Hollywood tried at all to get their clean image back up. They just kept making mistake after mistake. I think alot of it has to do with family values. Vanessa has a strong family support system. Parents are still married, they keep a low profile and are very protective. Those other stars ( we know who they are) have had problems since they were young with unsteady homes.
She’s doing what she needs to do to gain some of the respect she lost from her fans and I truly think she believes in the things she’s doing.(re: charities) It all is looking very good on her reume that is for sure.

Vanessa did not plan those pics. Someone betrayed her. Any way you have to have an attitude of making lemonade when you’re handed a bunch of lemons. ya know. She definately has her name on the map now, and part of it is because of the negative episode, but she is trying desperately to turn it around again.You have to give her and her management some credit. Like I said before not many stars who have been in similair situations have done anything so soon to smooth things over.
I like the fact that Vanessa Hudgens can just forget about those pictures and live her life as well as possible shows she’s a strong human being. She can’t live under a shell forever, and she didn’t. She made a mistake and learned from those mistakes and she is trying to make up for what happened. Not a lot of celebrities do that. Once they do something stupid, it keeps going. And the fact that everybody is making a big deal about the Tyra Banks show where she said what britney and lindsay’s situation always going out EVERYnight is stupid, she didn’t say Britney and Lindsay were stupid, she said the situations they get in are stupid. I got the impression he really wanted to ask something about you-know-what. I think Vanessa got the same impression she smiling but at the same time it’s like she’s thinking “Don’t go there.” He doesn’t but I really think he wanted to.

Z and V’s question in #142 just made me think of little joke that I know would drive the non Vansessa fans (note I did not say “haters”) nuts. I thought it would be funny if someone took a picture of Vanessa entering a Ladies Room, sent it to Jared who then posted it. And he would then subsequently post a picture of Vanessa coming out like a minute later. Then us would of course post how beautiful she is (she would be of course) in both posts. #159 brings up an interesting point that we don’t know for SURE what Vanessa is really like. I’ve never thought of her as “sweet and innocent” for the simple reason that she’s a teenager. I always suspected that she did “teenage things.” But aside from that I’ve always felt in her interviews that she came across as a genuinely nice person and I still do. I mean genuinely nice people do stupid things sometimes especially when they’re young. I think that’s the case here. I don’t think its an act of course I can’t say that for sure but that’s my read on her.

I’ve seen the interview in the extratv link and i think vanessa’s attitude with the press has changed. It seems that she is more polite now, i’ve seen some of her interviews before that photo scandal came up and she can be snappy, a bit rude and a bit impolite to interviewers even on live tv here in london… i think that photo scandal has humbled her,.. she seems to be more polite now, and a bit tolerant with the press including the paparazzis.

I am sure she is like every other teenager out there who likes to have fun and does crazy things with their friends. When I refer to her as sweet, I mean that she appears genuine and truly makes efforts to stay under the radar. What happens behind closed doors in her and any other celebrity’s private life is no one’s business. Prior to and since her scandal broke, every posting you saw/see her in is related to an event, charity or paparazzi pics of her with her family/boyfriend (usually shopping, working out or drinking smoothies). She is not trying to make a spectacle of herself. That is enough for me to know that she is as she puts it “a good kid”.
