‘Gossip Girl’ Gets Full Season Pick-Up

The CW’s Gossip Girl has received a full 22-episode season pick-up, reports TV Guide.

CW head Dawn Ostroff said, “People everywhere are talking about Gossip Girl and we believe this show will continue to build audience as it builds buzz. Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage have created an incredibly heightened-reality world that viewers are locking into while advertisers, affiliates and press have also embraced the show. The series has earned its early pick-up and we look forward to a long run on The CW.”

i like this show and all, but it’s on wednesdays at 9.

I was soooo sad when they canceled Veronica Mars, but since this show started I’m over that now and knowing Kristen Bell is the GG voice makes it even better! I love Gossip Girl!!!!!!!!! Yay, good to hear, I look foward to watching every episode! Thanks Jared for letting us GG lovers know!

OTH has not been cancelled. Its coming back Jan 2 2008.
not sure what is going on witht he time slot…8 or 9?? But its coming back and it is suppose to be 22 eppies. YESH!
Im liking GG- it would be a good lead in to OTH. put those 2 together for wednesday nites

First of all, I’m SO happy that GG is getting a full-season pick-up. I just hope it doesn’t lose me during Season 2, like The O.C. did.

Also, this is to morgan (comment #4):
One Tree Hill is coming back, just not until January. The CW will probably have to do some new scheduling, and they’ll probably just move GG to a different timeslot. If not, they’ll be moving OTH. I’m sure they wouldn’t just end OTH like that.

The Show is OK.
The books are better.
but if they cancel One Tree Hill and dont bring it back on Wed. at 9 IM GONNA KILL SOMEBODY.

BOOO!!! I tried to watch this show after Gilmore Girls got canned, and I only got through the first five minutes. If you guys are looking for shows with some quality, check out The Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, and Pushing Daisies. Here’s hoping Gossip Girl gets canned before the first 12 episodes air! Heaven knows the only reason it was green lighted was because Dawn Ostroff loves to watch ‘hot’ girls!

Gossip girl is good, however, I highly prefer OTH. And I can’t wait till OTH comes back, although, it’ll be a good idea if GG and OTH both do Wednesday’s nights, it’ll definitely DO wonderful ratings for both shows!
