Kate Walsh dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday to chat up her recent wedding and new TV show.

During the show, Ellen complimented the Private Practice star on her wedding ring. “Thank you,” Kate said giggling. “It was a gift from my husband.”

Kate, who turns 40 on Saturday, doesn’t let fame get to her head — she still cleans up after her dog.

“Basically everything’s the same except that we have a bigger house,” she said. “I still pick up my own dog poop. You just can’t ask someone to do that. I can’t. People are like, ‘Listen there’s a service.’ I’m like, I can’t in good faith. It’s a good exercise in humility. You just got to get down there. There’s nothing like a picture of me in the backyard holding up a bag of poop.”
