Momgelina ‘n Maddox: Rain or Shine
Angelina Jolie picks up Maddox, 6, from the Lycée Français de New York school on the Upper East Side of Manhattan on Thursday afternoon in the heavy rain. Dozens of fans and paparazzi surrounded the mother-son team despite the downpour.
Angie’s lips look especially luscious in this set of pictures. Yumz!

Maddox is getting so tall, he is having quite a growth spurt. He looks to be even taller next to Angelina, who can’t be more than 5″6″ or so. She won’t easily be able to pick him up anymore at the rate he is growing. LOL.

LOVE THIS FAMILY. ANGELINA IS THE GREATEST MOM!
I’m not the only person that feels that way. I could move on and not stop to comment, however, with the way they are shoved down the publics throat…. how can one not respond or react? The school pick up and drop off is boring - even the fans know it. She looks the same in all shots… same coat, same skirt, same stinky shoes, same greasy hair, same sunglasses! All you see is her nose, huge forehead and big lips… plus the black ensemble. The kicker is that you all react the same way everytime you see these photo’s… with the oooh and ahhhh. You sound silly to say the least. Every day there is a circus on that sidewalk… it’s called the “freak show”… bodyguards galore along with the tinted out SUV. Does this family really think this will end anytime soon, especially with poser Angie leading the way? She’s making a spectacle of her son.

I hope you are not a parent. I take and pick up my kids every day from school. They are happy for me to do so and I am happy to be able to tailor my work hours around their school day. It’s called being a good parent. It is also reassuring and comforting to my kids (and me) We get to talk about things while making the school runs.
Angelina is not making a spectacle of her son just as I and all the other parents I see in the morning and afternoon are not making spectacles of ourselves. YOU ARE SO VERY STUPID!!

You are so right in this statement. I know that my son follows ESPN with their day-long sports news and analysis, especially when his favorite teams win. I mean, he watches the sportscasters dissect and analyze his team’s performance to the littlest detail. Why are we, who are fans, criticized for doing the same? It’s our time that we spend gazing at these photos.
How I wish that when my son was going to grammar school that I was able to pick him up everyday and discuss how he did that day, but I had to work. These are times that once they are gone, they are gone, so Angelina and Brad are smart to spend as much time as they can with their children.
ITA with you #39 (Good Parent). I don’t see why Maddox has to be deprived of being dropped off and picked up by his parents because his parents have to cave in to the paparazzi’s and to critics. I admire Angie and Brad putting their children’s interest above everything and despite this frenzy they are going through eveery day.
To: Post 31 How can one not respond? It’s quite simple, just don’t. You spend time to write negative comments on this thread, which just doesn’t make sense. But, it’s an open forum here. I just don’t understand why you would write a paragraph about someone you are sick of, and think is overexposed.
An example for you is that I never go onto the blogs about Cruise and Holmes. They hold no interest at all. By the same token, I wouldn’t be on the first page to give negative comments…because I just don’t care about them, their lives, their careers, their baby or their work.

I don’t hate Brad and Angelina, but why do you use the words ‘jealous of us fans’. Is that the only excuse you can think of? Or maybe the fact that they have different opinions to you? Grow up.
Look Angie looks lovely. If you don’t want to see the pictures skip over it. Most on this thread are fans. I will say this it does look kind of crazy on that sidewalk. I don’t know if there is anything you can do about the crowds at this point. The whole of NYC knows Maddox attends this school. I think the spectators outnumber the paps at this point. Angelina needs to stop the waving and smiling at the crowd , it is not helping the situation by doing that. It is almost as if by doing that you are inviting more people to come so they can take photos of the smiling and waving. I think give the crowds nothing and it might lessen the crowds. It is the kids school and some things should remain off limits. I find the people in front of the school to be very disrespectful towards Maddox and his privacy. As for Angie , I am sure she means well and is coping the best she can. I just think this smiling and waving thing she does at times should stop. I know I am about to get attacked, but whatever.

Maddox seems able to deal with all the crowds just as Brad has said he can. He is very calm.
It is strange but that is how life is these days. People want some type of association with celebs, including celeb’s kids. It’s like the changeing of the guard at a palace, people know the times it will happen, it happens every day, and yet people still flock to see it. Angie, Brad, and Mad at Mad’s school has become an event that has to be seen. It will be over soon as they will be relocating to LA for filming of Angie’s new movie The Changeling.

The trolls who stake out justjared, waiting to pounce on a post about Brad or Angie, are so consumed with some or all of the SEVEN DEADLY SINS (inclusive of: envy, jealousy, hatred, anger, greed, gluttony, pride) that they are not even aware of how irrational or even deranged they appear to ordinary folk.
Neither you nor i nor any other fan who visits JJ and posts on B&A threads could possibly understand why someone who “cant stand” the J-Ps would put themselves through the unpleasant task of looking at pix which clearly upset them, and further, waste their time to visit a thread which is sometimes 20-odd pages deep, just to post a vile/angry/jealous comment.

Maybe it’s just me, but these photos really are reminding of Jackie O and all her understated elegance and glamour. Someone who could command the attention that Angelina Jolie does now, and so easily.

Looking at pics she is not smiling for classmates alone, there a couple of shots where she is looking directly at the camera with a huge smile. So she is acknowledging and encouraging the paps behavior to be outside Maddox school? My thing is this you are at a movie premeire the paps snap away , you smile. You can even smile for the paps in other situations. #52, alittlejen….I do not see things the same way. I think it is clear from Ameena’s pictures that fans are actually just a few feet away from her. It is a pretty intimate set-up. She is kind, and also pretty gracious, not the sort of person to swish by with her nose in the air or a bag in front of her face and ignore genuine fans, especially young ones. Sometimes it even looks as if Maddox recognizes people along the sidelines, maybe classmates. I see her wave as she is looking DOWN, which I take as a sign that she isn’t ignoring young children who might be calling out to her.

I don’t see anything wrong in what I said. I happen to be a fan of Brad and Angie. I just stated what I felt about the crowd situation. Look at Britney Spears ( no way in hell you can compare Angie to Britney) but I don’t feel sorry for Britney, she encourages the paps behavior. The paps have pumped Britney’s gas, paid for her food, she actually has conversations with them. I am saying that Brad and Angie have complained about the pap attention and by most accounts avoid places the paps might be. Even in Brads Parade interview Brad complained about the pap going in Maddox face and calling out his name, Brad was proud of the fact that they did not get a reaction. Yet you have Angie almost acknowledging the attention. I just think that the paps and crowds outside Maddox school is wrong. I am saying whether it is Angie or any other celeb, schools should be off limits. I can be a fan and still speak my mind. If there is a crowd of people (this goes for any celeb) and you smile and wave) What does that say? It is almost like you are approving the crowd being there. It is a school for goodness sake. I can’t beleive peeps would be upset because I think the crowds and Angies reaction to them is not helping a bad situation.

#52, alittlejen….I do not see things the same way. I think it is clear from Ameena’s pictures that fans are actually just a few feet away from her. It is a pretty intimate set-up. She is kind, and also pretty gracious, not the sort of person to swish by with her nose in the air or a bag in front of her face and ignore genuine fans, especially young ones. Sometimes it even looks as if Maddox recognizes people along the sidelines, maybe classmates. I see her wave as she is looking DOWN, which I take as a sign that she isn’t ignoring young children who might be calling out to her.

EXATLY!!! There are many other people that are there too. Classmates of Madd, mothers picking up their kids, fans etc. Not just the paps. All these people are probably screaming her name or asking for autographs or congratulating her. The other day one lady said to her that she was great in AMH. Angie is simply generous to all these people.
She just smile or wave without stopping and she moved quickly to the SUV. All this thing it’s not more than 3 minutes.
Plus saying that the paps will continue to take pictures because of that just doesn’t make any sense. Angie and Brad have dozens of pictures with neutral expressions on their faces and no waves and they still keep hunting them every single day. When they were living the theater this Monday Brad requested to not take anymore pics and leave them in peace. Did it change anything?? NO!! Wave or no wave, smile or not smile it won’t change anything.
As long as the paps and the media are making money out of them it’s not going to stop no matter what they’ll do. Very sad but true.

I get it a true fan should go to Angie’s son school stand outside take pictures, post them on the internet and you see nothing wrong at all with that. Does that not seem wrong to you? That is a true fan? I think it is wrong, I can understand coming to blogs and fansites having fun discussing Brad and Angie. “dedication to her family”?? she’s picking up her kid at school…very basic thing mothers do every day. I fall in the middle of this whole school thing. The side door of the school is only available sometimes in the morning to drop off Maddox. The front door must be used in the afternoon as the area near the side door is also the school’s PE/activity area, and is in use most of the time. DO YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THESE TRUE FACTS?

There are really some crazy and sick individuals in this world, to send threatening and blackmail letters to this family and to even the kids, how sick and twisted is that. I am so glad that they have people protecting them.
Which makes it all the more wrong, for peeps to be outside that school , taking pics and whatever. It is wrong, and I am not suprised when you look at the hate spewed on this very thread. Yet people are upset by what I have said tonight. Whether it be “fans” coming here acting proud about going to the school or paps being at the school. I guess when you think about it we , everyone on this thread is in a way is just as guilty, cause we look at the pics. I agree with what someone said earlier it is a guilty pleasure. It is a cycle , supply and demand. the paps take the pics, magazines buy the pics, fans buy the magazines etc. Peeps can get angry , make fun at trolls, but ya know what we are all guilty.

I have no problem of Angie smiling to the fans. Your post seem to suggest that her smiling and waving will invite the people back. I dont agree. I think, each day these are “new” fans, fans who just want to get a glimpse of Angie. I doubt these are the SAME people who camp next to school to get another glimpse. I think, each day, it’s a new batch of fans. Therefore, Angie smiling and waving at them will not invite these people to come back the next day because these are not the paps, they are ordinary folks who have a job or family to tend to.
Your saying that the paps are being outnumbered is a good sign. In fact, I was at the grocery store, flipping pages of the tabloid magazines. The mag had the pic of Brad/Angie at the “jump” show. I’m sure these daily to and from school picture are decreasing in value because of the oversupply.
If you look at Jared’s photo credit for these pic, its not the INF. It has been the INF for a long time. I guess the INF has an over abundant supply of these “pick up and drop off”, and may decide to take a day off.

Here is another tidbit from Brad’s French interview.
He said that Angie experienced the loss of her mother very deeply and that they wanted to keep everything private as much as possible at that time. He said that she is not close to her father but she was deeply connected to her mother.
He also adds that this kind of moments allows you to look inside and have some introspection.

Guys - Guys. Haven’t been here for awhile been busy with friends and family. Don’t worry I know you wouldn’t understand as your friends are here on Brad/Angie blogs. Umm, good morning to you too! Sorry, but the Oscars/Golden Globes are NOT about films that make money, it’s films that are excellent, where the acting is top-notch. Unfortunately, excellence does not always equal boxoffice bonanza. But Forest Whitaker won for Last King of Scotland which did not exactly set the boxoffice on fire. Charlize Theron was nominated for North County, which was disappointing at the boxoffice. And so on and so forth. But that’s the point of the Oscars/GG and other awards, isn’t it? To reward excellent acting/directing/writing, whether the movie made money or not.

First of all, there is no back door. There is a side door that is absolutely visible from both sides of the school. My son passes it every morning. The nice thing about it, for them, is that they can pull the car up closer to it, as a driveway runs past it.
Second of all, the driveway “side” door is not available to use all the time, as the enclosed driveway is also a play area and space that the school uses for other things. It is not available to be used by cars in the afternoon.
So, you can ask the same question in as large of all caps letters as you like, but the answer will still remain the same. They use it when they can. The only way they could get out without being seen by anyone is if they tunnelled across the east river and their car picked them up in Queens.

I’m from Asia too but has been here for some time now. I love Chinese movies or movies that feature the Orient actually. Shanghai is one of the cities in China that is always featured in Western and Eastern films so I’ve always been excited by it. It always seems so exotic to me. If you can’t tell yet, I love martial arts movies and I think China is one of the most beautiful and interesting places to visit.

Well I drop off and pick up both of my childern. “It’s the time of year when the more serious films arrive, often carrying a whiff of Oscar talk.
Take the Jesse James drama starring Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck. “It’s a fall movie. They’re not going to release it in the summer. You miss one fall, you wait for the next one,” writer-director Andrew Dominik explained during the recent Toronto International Film Festival.
“In the meantime, obviously, there’s time to tinker,” he said. “I mean, there’ve been stories about it being a troubled film and train wreck and all that stuff and it’s only worked in our favor, I think, because the movie’s a lot better than people were expecting or were led to believe.”
This week, however, a blog called hollywood-elsewhere.com aired complaints from some critics that “Jesse James” was either not being shown to critics at all or shown in a timely fashion. Blogger Jeffrey Wells quoted reviewers who concluded the movie’s distribution was half-hearted, at best.
A Warner Bros. spokesman yesterday discounted that talk, saying the decision to open “Jesse James” in two dozen markets today was due to a sales staff that saw the chance to book the movie into good theaters on Oct. 12 rather than the planned Oct. 19, allowing the movie to squeeze out an extra week of play.
The representative emphasized the movie is being aggressively marketed and was screened by critics in many cities before the Toronto festival and multiple times during the event. In Pittsburgh, the studio secured a print for a Wednesday morning screening, which meant critics for the daily papers could write reviews for opening day.

Ariel, I had been planning to see TAOJJ last weekend, but we were so busy with our restoration of a friend’s trailer in Indiana last Saturday, and then our folk dance troupe practice on Sunday, that I did not have the time. But I will do it this weekend, either Saturday or Monday, which is my day off (need to attend to a couple of personal stuff). She is a great humanitarian who gives her time and part of her earnings into helping the unlucky orphans and people who are displaced because of the horrible wars in their countries and despite of her busy life she still managed to go to these countries and get envolved. She is a very devoted mother to her children and a great influence to her partner, Brad. She can ride a bike and pilot a plane. With all her simplicity, she is beautiful, elegant and gorgeous., etc, etc, etc. Oh whatever, this family is adorable. I love them.

Hollywood needs as many leading men as it can get, same with leading ladies. What happen to George Clooney “The Good German” released early this year. Gosh ,it didn’t even hit the 10 million mark world widely. There’s alway the “Hit and Miss” in every A-list actors, Russel Crowe never had a boxoffice hit since “The Gladiator” on 2000, but he was never gone out of work. as long as there’s talent and charisma, A-list actors like Brad Pitt wouldn’t be out of work.

George Clooney’s next movie Leatherheads was suppose to be released in Dec but has been pushed back to April. The production company is not happy with what it saw.
As someone wrote upthread,if an actor tries to do something out of the norm (silly comedy, rom com, lawyer flick,cop flick), the movie can be a hit or miss. Mr Clooney knows that more than others.

Good morning, BAMPZS fans.
Glad to see it was quiet last night, with just a few bashers/naysayers who were effectively shot down by the loyal BAMPZS fans. It’s sad to see posters who like George Clooney and Johnny Depp, even Tom Cruise, who try to pit their idols against Brad. There’s enough room for all of them in HW, why not just enjoy their movies without having to worry about the bottom line. That’s for the producers and the studio to worry about, not us; we know that despite his spotty record domestically, Brad’s movies do very very well internationally. According to boxofficemojo.com, the only movie he made that didn’t go over $100 million factoring in the foreign box office was Snatch. Babel made over $135 million, despite being a small indie movie.
Haters have lost their sh*t again. JD’s, TC’s and GC’s fans bashing Brad??

I wanted to pop into BAMPZS latest thread to show my support for my Fav Family. I love Angie’s look today . She has put some of her weight back on or almost looks the same now as she was in the 90’s when i first saw her.
I love Angie Brad and the kids,hate missing a day of not checking in at JJ’s. I was never a fan of anybody untill Angie and Brad hooked up .What a superb team they make !!

AMEN!!! I’m laughing my butt of when I see some “experts” here judging the success of a movie solely for the domestic box office. It’s just shows how small minded and ignorant they are.
There is a whole world out there full of moviegoers all over the planet.
Brad’s movies were ALWAYS but ALWAYS did great internationally. Seven years in Tibet was a HUGE hit internationally but it’s considered unsuccessful because it didn’t do very well in America. That is just ridiculous.
Even the studios are counting on the international success of the movies now.
Actors who are not well now outside the US are hopeless. They only have to follow the norm doing action flicks or rom coms and lame comedies to attract the audience. Otherwise they are doomed as per box office success.
Brad had an international appeal from the day he became famous and it has increased immensely the last 5 years.
Both Brad and Angie are loved all over the world.

As Brad finished his last day of shooting on Thursday, Angelina picked up Maddox from the Lycee Francais, where it looks like he got a farewell present from his classmates!
Angelina is carrying a memory book that the school made for Maddox.
