Momgelina ‘n Maddox: Rain or Shine
Angelina Jolie picks up Maddox, 6, from the Lycée Français de New York school on the Upper East Side of Manhattan on Thursday afternoon in the heavy rain. Dozens of fans and paparazzi surrounded the mother-son team despite the downpour.
Angie’s lips look especially luscious in this set of pictures. Yumz!

Actress to Receive Outstanding Performance of the Year Award

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced Monday that Academy Award and three-time Golden Globe winner Angelina Jolie will receive its Outstanding Performance of the Year Award for her performance in A Mighty Heart, in which she portrays Mariane Pearl, wife of the kidnapped and executed journalist, Daniel Pearl. “We are honored to celebrate Ms. Jolie in what is arguably one of the most extraordinary female roles of the year,” Festival executive director Roger Durling said in a statement.
Past recipients of the award have gone to Kate Winslet, Heath Ledger, and Helen Mirren. Jolie received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in the 1999 film, Girl, Interrupted. She has also starred in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Mr. & Mrs. Smith, when her highly publicized relationship with actor Brad Pitt began. She is the daughter of actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand.
In the film, Jolie portrays her friend, Mariane Pearl, during the two-week period between when her husband, a reporter for the Wall Street Journal, was kidnapped and when he was murdered by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002. The movie is based on Mariane Pearl’s memoir.
Jolie will be honored on Feb. 2, 2008, the second-to-last day of the festival, which begins on Jan. 24, 2008. Tickets are on-sale to the event, which will take place at the Arlington Theatre. For more information, visit http://www.sbfilmfestival.org.

Donald Trump just cannot seem to shake his famous flap with Rosie O’Donnell, but he did make up with TODAY’s Meredith Vieira during an interview Monday during which he also promoted his new book and took a slight swipe at domestic diva Martha Stewart.
Trump snipes at a number of others in the book, including George Clooney, Mark Cuban, Sir Richard Branson and Angelina Jolie.

ITA!! For every tabloid worshiper/bitter woman Brad has lost as a “fan” he gained 10 fans more. As Angie has gained many REAL Brad fans as well. So who cares??

Here, here! I was most definitely an Angelina fan when all this started. As for Brad and Jennifer, I wasn’t much interested. Enjoyed Jen as Rachel on Friends but never thought she translated well to the big screen. She just didn’t seem to have enough presence to carry it off. I enjoyed most of Brad’s movies but thought of him as a shallow pretty boy. I don’t read the tabloids so didn’t really know anything at all about their lives as The Golden Couple, nor thought there was very much interesting about them beyond their work as actors.
Now Angelina has interested me from the moment I first saw her as Gia. I laughed at her antics during her “Bad Girl” years and admired her tremendously as I watched her adopt Maddox and grow up in every way. Her work as an ambassador is inspiring and comes from her heart. When she hooked up with Brad I wondered if he had enough depth to hold her interest. As far as I’m concerned she’s the best thing that ever happened to him. He’s won me over as a fan because of the way he has treated Angelina and become a father to admire. I believe that together they will inspire each other to use their gifts and talents to the fullest.
As for Rachel? She now disgusts me in every possible way. She’s no sweetheart in my book and has shown her true colors as vapid, shallow, and completely uninteresting. All that money is just wasted on her.

An all-star salute to Julia Roberts

BEVERLY HILLS — That famous Julia Roberts smile was flashing more than usual Friday night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where the American Cinematheque honored the actress with its 22nd annual award.
George Clooney shot a taped bit from a bathroom stall in which a foot tapping in the neighboring stall (a reference to the Sen. Larry Craig scandal) turned out to belong to Brad Pitt.
