OlderClaire Danes @ Motion Picture Club Awards 2007
Claire Danes falls flat in fashion (and hair amongst other things) at the Motion Picture Club’s 67th Annual Awards luncheon at the Marriot Marquis on Thursday in New York City. The collar of her Prada dress and bottom of her skirt look like… tie-dye.

Starting last month, Danes made her linguistically-challenging Broadway debut in the revival of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion starring as Eliza Doolittle. Her character is a Cockney flower girl who must pass off as a refined society lady by learning how to speak with an upper class accent and train in etiquette.

That’s not tie dye, its called ‘ombre’ meaning shadow. Prada used it heavily in their collection years ago. Nothing’s wrong with the dye of the dress, its the cut; its just too…boring. But isn’t ‘boring’ synonymous w/ ‘Claire Danes’? And her hair and makeup aint livening it up any either. Come on Claire! Say something bad about the Philippines and steal some pregnant ladies man! Oops already did that.
I think her dress is cool and artsy (and totally appropriate for an awards luncheon). If I had skin and hair and a smile as flawless as Claire’s I sure wouldn’t give a rat’s ass what anyone said about me or my clothes. Yeap, I still think it looks cool; I don’t get the reaction here.
Never mind that “cleaning lady” dress..yuck, what she REALLY needs are those shoe adhesive cushion inserts called “petals”…they keep your long-**** toes from sliding over the front of your high heels. They are only $3 bucks a pair…sold at the drug store. Someone clue her in before she stubs those finger-length toes off on a sidewalk. BTW, I actually thought she was super pretty in The Family Stone…
By the way, I’m pretty sure you’re going to be seeing a lot more of that “tye dye” look since a lot of designers have it in their spring collections. I kinda like it!

Good actress but bad choice in a dress! With all she could choose from, why this grey sack?
1. Don’t like the dress. Can’t account for bad taste, she picks alot
of things that just don’t work.
2. In general I think she’s a very talented actress, I like her work.
3. The stealing another man thing, yeah, all these actresses do it.
I don’t think Angelina Jolie ever dated one man that was not
attached to someone already when they met. Seems like bad karma
to me.
Well, she’s not pretty, but at least she’s an good actress.

dress is awesome, she can’t pull it off with her drab hair & make-up; plus those are TOTALLY the wrong kind fo shoes. Get yourself some black cuff booties, girl! Better yet, get a stylist!
