Penelope Cruz finds love in the arms of Spanish actor Javier Bardem, spending a romantic few days in the Republic of Maldives (in the Indian Ocean) earlier this month.
Penelope frolicked around in a black bikini while Javier wore black swimming trunks. Looks like the couple got real hot ‘n spicy out there!!
Penelope, 33, and Javier, 38, are longtime friends and starred together in the 1992 dramatic comedy Jamon, Jamon“, in which they played lovers. They started dating after reuniting and working together on Woody Allen’s latest yet-to-be-titled Spanish project.
Bardem received an Oscar nomination for 2000’s Before Night Falls, while Cruz received a best-actress nomination for Pedro Almodovar’s 2006 Volver.

#29 After doing some basic math I can you that Javier Bardem was 23 in 1992 when he did “Jamon, Jamon.” He’s getting a lot of Best Supporting Actor buzz for his role as a psychopathic killer in the Cohen Brothers “No Country for Old Men,” I haven’t seen the movie yet (since it’s not out) but I have a strong feeling he’ll get it. For the record Penelope Cruz was 18 in 1992 not 15.

Actually, 1992 is the year the movie was released, but if was filmed 2-3 yrs before its release. So, if my basic math is correct, she would have been 15-16, depending on when filming began.
Anyway, she was very young for the caliber of sex scenes she filmed with Bardem. I understand Europeans are much more liberal regarding sex, but 15-16 still seems a bit shocking. It’s a good movie, tho!
