OlderJulia Roberts Wins Cinematheque Award
Academy Award winner Julia Roberts (in Diane von Furstenberg) picks up the 22nd Annual American Cinematheque Award at the Beverly Hilton Hotel’s International Ballroom on Friday in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Denzel Washington presented his The Pelican Brief co-star with the award during the annual benefit gala.
“The American Cinematheque is extremely pleased to honor Julia Roberts at our celebration this year,” said Rick Nicita, Chairman of the Board of the American Cinematheque. “Julia Roberts is a true movie star who has delighted audiences and critics in so many pictures, from her first screen appearance in Mystic Pizza through mega-hits like Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride to her Academy Award-winning performance in Erin Brockovich and many, many more. Moviegoers are eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the career of this beloved actress and we are looking forward to thanking her for all that she’s already given us.”
Last year, Julia presented the award to pal George Clooney. Al Pacino won in 2005 and Steve Martin in 2004.

Either you love someone and you build a partnership together to share your lives, or you don’t. You can’t force it just because the other person is USING you, and anyone who says they are a victim of “homewrecking” was merely USING the man in their life and not building a partnership with him!! If you were truly on a lifetime path together, no one and nobody could take him away.

Danny obviously wanted out. This wasn’t a fling, or one of many bimbos he was banging along the way. Obviously, he found someone he COULD build a partnership with. Same with Brad.
Billy Crudup might be another story — Claire Danes was just a way out of a relationship — but she still can’t be called a homewrecker because obviously THERE WAS NO HOME TO WRECK!!

Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts are in a movie together: Charlie Wilson’s War, directed by Mike Nichols. The movie will be coming out on Christmas!!
