Halle recently sat for a quick Q&A at a recent press stop to promote Things We Lost in the Fire:
Why do chicks find Benicio [Del Toro] so sexy? He’s not the most handsome dude around. He’s mysterious. You don’t quite know who he is, no matter how long you know him. You get a feeling you’ll never know him. I think women respond to that. And he’s talented. If someone is talented, I don’t care what they look like, that’s sexy.
Ever wish you’d never become an actor and could just live quietly? I’ve thought that when people ask me personal questions. It’s because I’m in a movie they didn’t like and there’s nothing else to talk about. But it’s frustrating this time, because it’s a movie I’m really proud of. Maybe there will be a reason [one day], but it’s baffling me now.
And finally, after being asked about her pregnancy for the upeenth time, Halle put her belly down and said, “It’s disheartening to have every question be about my pregnancy. I’m getting most asked not about the film.”

Halle is likeable, but then you really think about it and realize that she is also in my opinion is somewhat of a sociopath.

Nothing new. She does this kind of thing all the time. Let’s hope it won’t backfire on her like when she tried to back paddle on the Parade magazine snafu and hurt her movie.
Any of you all remember the re-occurring chattering teeth dream where she can’t catch them and she is stuck in high school like Groundhog’s Day saying regarding the teeth part of her dream is that she was told she isn’t heard. The high school thing has to do with her fear of not wanting to grow up. Halle it isn’t that you aren’t heard or even seen. It’s that you are heard/seen too much. So much for discretion.
RE: her sociopathic tendencies–yes, she does have them as well as characteristics for ADHD, substance abuse disorder, dissociative identity disorder, adult child of an alcoholic, borderline personality disorder, co-dependent, battered woman syndrome, bi-polar disorder and a few others, but that doesn’t necessarily mean she has the disorder or any of them.
Halle’s never on a talk show just to hang out with the hosts like a lot of stars do, only when she has a movie coming out and/or to talk about her personal life because she isn’t cool or has any really substance. There several ways as a couple folks suggested how to handle the P question.
Which I think is funny that you are getting tired of it after one month of making your announcement and the many months/year-years of making the blogs and photographers (which you probably paid) guess as well as being seen buying maternity clothes right after your last movie came out–this was all planned.
So, be a decent human being and for once own up to it. It’s not the reporters fault for asking the question/s it’s your’s and only your’s for giving them just cause. Quit the blame game.
She does need to suck it up. i mean she did announce her pregnancy and pregnancy is so wonderful and much more important than any movie. women, especially single women wanna hear about it.
Concerning Gabriel, I’m not sure he grew up in foster homes as has been said, just passed around a lot between relatives. Also, whatever Gabriel Aubry’s salary is, how can it be considered paltry? What is your daily salary that you can sneer at his, not so? As for his not speaking good english, If it is understandable, then it does not matter if he has a strong accent. English is not the only language in the world. He speaks at least three languages that I know of. How many languages do those criticising his english speak?
Let me say something else; in another recent thread concerning Halle, someone said that Eric Benet made more money than Gabriel, but i doubt that because he clearly wasn’t satisfied with his money, since he sued Halle for alimony. He is a ‘moocher.’ Where is everyone’s righteous anger over that? Eric Benet is the one who probably got involved with Halle because of her fame and money, not Gabriel. Get it right. And Eric Benet called himself a sex addict and even joined a group to get it help. He only denied it later when the press considered him a loser because of it, and he seems like an even bigger loser now. If you don’t like Halle being with Gabriel I suppose that’s your choice, but you should no what you are talking about first! Stupic, racist haters.

Oh puh-leeze!! Why else are you so critical of Gabriel and Halle, except that he is white? I know that most if not all of you saying the ignorant comments about Gabriel are black and that you resent Halle’s relationship with a white man, her obvious love for him and her bearing his child. Don’t pretend any different. I think that Halle is headed toward a new, better place in life and that Gabriel is a harbinger of that. She is on the way to becoming a true power broker in hollywood, and Gabriel is a perfect consort. Its hard to imagine David Justice, Eric Benet, Michael Ealy, or most of those other men many of you would want her to be with being the asset that Gabriel will be. I truly believe that they were meant to meet and fall in love.
Regarding the idea of her having a nose job; I really don’t think so. I’ve seen several pics of her recently from the side and her nose looks the same. Any change is simply do to the aging process.

in reference to your “stupid racist haters” remark, i am a black woman, and i do not care for Halle. I think she is very pretentious and superficial and never accepts blame for anything going on in her life. it’s always someone else’s fault. and about eric benet admitting to being a sex addict, what else was he supposed to say when halle and her mother took him on oprah and accused him infront of millions. i was so embarrassed for him, and really believe he was thinking about his daughter, and would have done or said anything to ensure a stable environment for her. i am not saying he was a prince, but i absolutely abhor women who cannot accept some responsibility for problems in a relationship.
Did I not say that I know perfectly well that most of the people saying hateful things about Queen Halle and her consort are black? That they resent her relationship with a white man? I would think that admitting to being a sex addict is not a way of creating a stable home environment for a child. He tried to ensure a stable home environment for India by marrying Halle for her money and collecting alimony from Halle and using her affection for India in order to do it. He greatly wronged Halle. Yes, people should own up to their actions, but how is Eric’s sex addiction, chronic cheating, whatever, Halle’s fault?

SSDD…Eric didn’t marry Halle for her money. He doesn’t get alimony and claims to never have asked her for a dime despite claims on http://www.smokinggun.com. Halle wanted him to be a house-hubby so she can’t ***** about him not working. He’s not a sex addict he admitted saying that to save his marriage. Re: Aubry’s salary not including his $2M Calvin Klein deal over x number of years or whatever the terms are. Making $27-$47K for a photo shoot is considered small salary sorry. Yes, I do make more than that per year and have more invested. His speech, he talks or mumbles with an accent. Yes, he can speak English fairly well but with an accent. You may want to listen to him again when he speaks.
Don’t give a flying **** that he’s White. It is what it is. Please. Halle won’t be a power broker in Hollywood if she can’t get her projects off the ground based on her pictures not doing well. It won’t matter who she is with. Gabriel actually could be very good for her and may be her perfect match.
Her new movie I am surprised (haven’t seen it yet)that it isn’t doing well despite hers and Benico’s supposedly riveting performances. Great script and a very innovative director. People in Hollywood unfortunately not all of them take her seriously regardless of how gorgeous she is, on the A-List, queen of the red carpet, all of her awards,moxie or savvy,,gutsy in role choices she may be,etc.
Is Hollywood Racist? Sure to some degree. But it isn’t all them. The woman needs to get a new staff, possibly take acting lessons not having an acting coach, do more for the entertainment community. While I don’t blame her for not liking to talk about her pregnancy in public regardless of it apparency versus in private which she stated on Tavis and views it being a trade off and how everytime she has a movie coming out it seems that it coincides what’s going on in her personal life. Call it what it is. She has been trying to talk more about the movie than her personal life.
