Jude Law Does the Mambo Repossession
Jude Law takes a walk around Yorkville on his day off of filming his latest movie Repossession Mambo currently filming in Toronto, Canada.
The forthcoming futuristic adventure thriller Repossession Mambo also stars Forest Whitaker. This will be Miguel Sapochnik’s directorial debut for Universal Pictures. The film is about a repo man, who is made up of artificial organs and struggles to make payments for his heart transplant. Unable to provide the money, he runs from his former partner.

to all the intellects on this board who are critical of jude law because his hair is cut for his role in repossession mambo with forrest whitiker. i can’t believe what you’re all arguing about. when jude is thru with this film he’ll let his hair grow and he’ll look again like he did in the holiday, at the cannes and venice film festivals, which was to die for, and that was just a few months ago. i cannot believe that people spend their time berating jude for wearing his hair a certain way for a film role.this is his work. this how he makes a livimg folks.this is how he supports three children. is there nothing more important to discuss than his hairline…what about how beautiful, intelligent and charismatic he is for starters. this man could wear no hair, a pony tail, pigtails…nothing will ever take away from his inherent beauty. now all you critics go look in the mirror. what kind of gorgeousness do you see?
Jude’s looking good as ever but…anyone else have a bad feeling about this Repossession Mambo? It sounds dumb.

No, not really…in a recent interview, Jude was asked if it could be described as a dark sci-fi comedy, and Jude said, “Yes, that’s exactly what it is, I’m going to use that.” So I think it sounds interesting. I don’t really like the title much, though. But I like both Jude and Forrest and will look forward to seeing them on screen together.
The name “Repossession Mambo” sounds awkward. I hope it’s just a working title, because from what I hear, the story itself sounds very interesting. It’s got action but seems very different from the run-of-the-mill gun-toting sort. This is my impression based from what Jude said.
IMO they should’ve given Sleuth another name too.
I think Repossession Mambo will be good. I think the brief descriptions we have read of the plot are mostly not very accurate.
Daphne, I agree about Sleuth…I never really knew what the title “Sleuth” had to do with the plot of the story, even in the first one…or am I missing someting?
What a lot of stupid comments about his haircut. He’s supposed to be in the army - what did you expect, a bouffant do? I like the fact that he could care less about what he looks when he is filming, if he is that vain, he would have been walking around with a hat all the time when he is finished filming.
Unlike other celebs he is perfectly happy walking around when not filming looking scruffy. He said so in an interview that he rarely shaves or dress up when he is not shooting a movie or when he is not promoting one. And even if he loses all his hair, he is still one of the best looking men I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen plenty of celebs to back that up.

Not that his handsomeness defines him…it’s just one part of him. He’s definitely interested and involved in so many things than to be constantly concerned about what he looks like…and it’s great for him that he doesn’t have too! He comes by it naturally!
As I understand it, the name Sleuth in the original was a tongue-in-cheek reference to the sort of dinner party mystery games popular at the time; these all feature a sleuth. The original was focused on the elaborate game-playing (from what I gather) and so the rather facetious title was apt. I don’t see why the new film should stick to this old title. It doesn’t fit.

His strawberry lip are kissible, as well as his receding line. He doesn’t like his militar hair cut, it’s like that because of his character in Repossesion Mambo (terrible title for a movie, by the way), he said that is a bad one in many interviews while promoting sleuth, but I’m sure that he doesn’t care about how he looks like, and obviously he does not care about what people might think about it, but it should be great if he puts that bunnie of his on or a cap, excepting the fedora hat, all of them suit him beautifully.

He looks like one of those gender bending, pan-sexual characters from Velvet Goldmine…at the age of 48. I bet NOBODY remembers how he went on and on about how wonderful his hair was and luxurious and that it wouldn’t ever recede bc his father still had a lush set of hair. Sorry Jude, wish denied.
Ally, I seriously never heard him say that. Do you remember when it was? I’m just curious because he’s had this hairline for a long time, so it had to be more than 7 years ago, at least.
Also, although I don’t agree that he looks “gender bending” I can say that I really don’t care for the jeans with that coat.

What a ridiculous lie. Jude never said this; (I am sure since I believe I’ve read every interview he’s ever done.) Moreover, his father is as bald as can be since years and years ago. Jude knows his own father and would NEVER say his father still had a lush set of hair.

give jude credit for not having vanity….he does with his hair or face whatever the role calls for…..if you’re not a beauty to begin with it’s not a big sacrifice but in jude’s case he gives up alot when he changes his looks…you don’t see a jude law every day. his beauty is extremely rare.
