Suri Cruise is Purple-licious
Katie Holmes takes a stroll through Tiergarten park in Berlin, Germany on Sunday with daughter Suri, 17 months.
The mother-daughter was joined by grandma Mary Lee (mother of Tom Cruise) and a bodyguard toting a baby bag by Goyard.
Baby Suri looks adorable as always, carrying around her own bottles of milk and Ziploc containers of snacks!
Tom has been busy in town filming his WWII flick Valkyrie, which is also filming in Berlin.

I agree, Suri is NO WAY 17 months old - look at the difference between her and Kingston or Shiloh who were born around the same time, they are clearly more ‘baby’ looking where as Suri is a full blown toddler, at least 2.5 years old!

Because, I swear, this kid ain’t 17 months, she looks almost 2 years old by the way she walks. She ain’t no toddler no more, which she should still be at 17 months. Katie NEVER smiles anymore and her eyes look drained of all life. Suri has Katie’s nose before her nose job so it is likely that Suri will get a nose job later in life too.

I like Katie’s hair - think it looks fresh and sets off her naturally pretty face - she looks good without makeup. I DO think she should avoid tight jeans - despite being in great shape, her legs have a “tree truck” quality - rather naturally thick in comparison to the rest of her body - and don’t look good in pencil pants. By the way - why is Tom’s mom ALWAYS hanging around - I feel sorry for Katie having to have her mother-in-law so much a presence in their lives. That women needs to find her own hobbies, friends, etc.. Move out on her own and stop living through her famous son and his new family. Ugghh!

Please, she’s right on target for height and development for a 17 month old. What’s weird to me is that they haven’t weaned her off the bottle yet. Most pediatricians say to get rid of those at a year old to avoid attachment issues. Regardless, she’s an adorable baby and her dad may be a fruit loop, but she looks happy, well adjusted and her parents actually spend time with her instead of shoving her on a nanny.
Suri has a strange shaped nose. Her eyes at times seem almost chameleon like. ITA Suri is 2 1/2 years old. No way is she younger. I see they stop dying her hair black. Grandma looking as if she’s a horror movie character. Spooky cicumstances Katie has this child in.
I agree Suri is very developed, active and smart. Just look at her trying to do stuff by her little self! At least Katie is really hands-on and a natural with her kid, unlike Victoria Beckham who is never seen taking her kids out to play in the park, but drags them around briefly in between airports or using her youngest as fashion accessory on her Fashion week trip.
I have to agree with some of the posters that says Suri looks way older than her age, at that age most kids still has their soft, cuddly cuteness, but Suri looks grown. Both of my kids were born 9lbs and grew big for their ages, but at 17th months they still had baby features.
That is why no one saw Suri for quite some time. Because she is really older than they want us to think. There is no way that is Tom’s baby!

i have come to the conclusion that suri was made from donor sperm/katies egg and born earlier than they claim (probably to make sure everything went ok before they went so public). it is strange how tom was’infertile’ for years and got katie pregnant almost as soon as they met.
for the record, i have a 17 month old son - yes, he walks, but he does not walk confidently like suri appears to, and her manual dexteriy is that of an older child. my son also has a more babyish look about him in face and body, which suri appears to have more the look for a little girl , which they develop around 2 and a half to 3 years old.
thee first thing i thought was this kid is not just 17 months old…she is much too sturdy looking for a kid her age and as one poster said the celeb babies in that age group and who look like real kids their ages are gwen stefani’s kingston and shiloh pitt who is every inch still babies at their current ages…

This child should have been off the bottle months ago, it’s bad for her teeth. I think she probably looks older because she has always had such a full head of hair. Wiithout seeing video of her walking, it is hard to say how steady she is with a still hoto thats captures a nano-second of time.

Yeah, I have to agree, no way is Suri 17 months. Two years, at a MINIMUM. It’s true that some kids develop faster, but that’s just not the case here. I’m not one of those who believes Katie’s whole pregancy was fake, but it’s possible she delivered much earlier than they say. Suri is a cutie, though!

All kids grow at there own pace, I have a daughter a bit older than suri(soo cute) and everyone assumes she is 2or3 just because she started walking at a very young age and she has a large vocabulary for her age. To people who are saying that Katie Holmes pregnancy was fake, there is no WAY it was fake. I mean look at Suri, she’s such a spitting image of both Katie and Tom!
Suri is adorable. Not a big fan of either mom or dad, but it’s disturbing how many are bashing this little kid. Not all kids develop the same way. My own son looks and acts like 2, yet he’s only 14 months old. Many people do not believe his age either as he is very tall, walks very well, and carries himself like a full-blown toddler (older than 2) and not like a one year old.
And pictures can be twisted to mean many different things. Just because she is carrying two bottles does not mean she gets two bottles in one sitting. My son sometimes walks around with a bottled water, does it mean he drinks out of that? Or he carries an orange in his hand, does it mean he eats it like that, orange peel and all?
Every one of us will have different methods when it comes to parenting, not all of them will fall under the ‘normal-standard’ threshold but they work for us. As long as our children get all the love and attention they need from us and growing up well, then what is the big deal?
Suri looks like a happy and well-adjusted rambunctious 17 month old toddler, thriving very well under the watchful eyes of her mother, father, and other family members.
Whatever we think of her parents, do not bash the children.

I don’t think she is any older. If you see how tall she is, it fits with being 18 months. If she was 2 or 3, she would be extremely tiny.
Suri started walking at either 9 or 10 months.I remember Kaite on tv saying suri was already walking. She was very young,this is why she walks with confidence..she’s being doing it for about 8 months now, She never really had that baby look but walking early causes kids to lose the baby fat earlier.

A child can “thrive” very nicely not being an only child. My experience has been that my youngest developed faster by having older siblings. She was always trying to keep up with the others.
And Angelina spends a lot of time with her children, her movies lately are short in production and when she is working, Brad is with them. I envy that.

I have always thought that Suri was older than they have said she is.. add Katie’s magical rising and falling belly at the “end of her pregnancy” and going underground after the “birth”, the birth certificate with missing information. Hmmmm. Mighty suspicous.

Not to mention there was not ONE SINGLE photograph of her going to the hospital or leaving the hospital despite the fact that there were paps camped out 24/7
Then theres the Wheres Suri…….she made her big debut 8 months after she was born…….and after changing their flight plans 5 times to avoid the paps ONE picture was taken of them with Suri coming home from the honeymoon…..she had hard soled shoes on…..at “7 months” , thats ludicrous!!!! After the firestorm that followed she wasn’t photographed with shoes on for about 6 months!!!!
THAT is why everyone thinks she’s older, it has NOTHING to do with babies developing differently or that she has a lot of hair (DUH!!!)(along with the posters that have noticed her motor skills, etc)

Katie is so blessed in many ways. Her family is close to mom,she is close to her stepkids. Her mom and mom in law are close and so is she. Its easy to get jealous.

She is like 18 months, right? but seriously it looks to me Suri is 2 yrs old or more. She looks and acts mature for her age.
Call me crazy but Im really suspicious that she was born earlier than April 18, and Katie was just wearing a fake belly just in time for M3 promo. Perhaps, she was born around February, and Katie was already pregnant in June when Tom was crazily jumping in Oprah’s couch. It was just so weird that he was acting like that, and the only plausibel explanation ws that Katie was preggy. I think they met April 2005, so its about right. So Suri’s real age is around 21-22 months. Its really possible since we heard about her birht papers not filled up properly and on time. And of course, they didnt show her to the public until she was supposedly 3 months old.
Its weird, because Nicole also said that she got pregnant immediately when they hooked up, I think thats why Tom married her, but then she lost the baby. And they also kept quiet about it. This scientology thing is freaking me out.

One of the physical attributes that science rely on when determining age is the set of teeth. I just recently saw Suri’s set of chompers and she’s clearly right on target for a 17-18 month old infant. Developmental milestones/markers are useful for babies who are delayed (for intervention purposes) but it doesn’t mean that a baby is “older” just because he or she is doing things that are considered “advanced” for his/her age group. The height of a person involves variables such as the birth height and the genetic make-up that these maybe used as contributory markers but are in no way specific for age determination.
I agree though that she needs to be weaned off from her bottle as soon as possible.

and oh, btw, Nicole Richie is 6-mos pregnant, if I’m not mistaken, and she’s been seen more than once strutting her 5 inches heels. J. Lo is supposedly 5-6 mos. and she’s out wearing heels and even on a musical tour. So, what is the conclusion here? Simply put, women are vain and they love their heels, pregnant or not! And Katie Holmes wasn’t an exception.
As for the hate comments about Tom not being seen (lately) with his other kids, I remember he was also heavily criticized when he used to be seen frequently with them. Catch 22.

You know just observing I will side more on TomKat because they may be celebs but they are just normal human beings like us. You cant hate people base on religion and so on. Everytime I see a picture of Suri Holmes, she is holding a baby bottle. 17 months old is too old to be drinking from a baby bottle. How come their pediatrician does not inform them that one years old is the cutoff for bottle drinking? The older she gets, the harder it will be to wean her off the bottle.
I realise you all have your opinions on mum and dad who are actors and we all complain about the Britney/Lohan’s of the world. What chance has this little girl got when she reads/hears all these things about her from people who she doesn’t know? Lay off - none of us perfect and so none of us should judge!

You people need to get a life. What a horrible thing to say about an innocent child, regardless of who her parents are. I agree totally with ‘For Kids Sakes.’ I hope you people aren’t parents yourself as you’re disgusting role models for all with comments like that. If you don’t like the kid or her parents why bother being here? Jealousy is a curse especially fo attention seekers who have nothing better to do with their time than say despicable things. Anyone who wishes any child to fall out a window and break every bone in their body isn’t worthy of being called an animal. You’re sick, twisted, insecure and definitely jealous.
And for the other one, there are a lot of kids born to celebrities and not all grow up to be Paris Hilton’s (thank god). The pressure of their lives is enormous and I don’t envy them at all but some of them handle it with grace and maturity beyond their years. Don’t put everyone in the same bracket as Paris. Even though I dislike all that she stands for and promotes, she’s far from being a nobody and I think that’s what pisses you all off.

It’s very sad that some people get such satisfaction out of tearing others down when they’re far from perfect themselves! I teach my children to judge only people they meet and have reason to judge. You should try it sometime when you’re not lonely and stuffing your face watching ‘Days of Our Lives!’
