Vanessa Hudgens for Skechers
Vanessa Hudgens has secured herself a million dollar deal, according to Celebrity Babylon.
The High School Musical star has signed a $1 million dollar contract with shoe giant Skechers. The deal is for one year and is following in the footsteps of singers Ashlee Simpson, Carrie Underwood and Britney Spears. All musical talents!

Her album done well with it’s limited promo that happened to be on Disney channel. she went gold with her solo album sales also lets not for get the millions of copies the hsm & hsm2 soundtracks have sold. Also skechers are mainly for tween age groups so Vanessa would be the right person to have as she is well known to them.
If an album goes certified gold is that considered tanking? I thought that was considered successful granted it may not exactly be history on the charts but I didn’t think it was a flop. But I’ll defer to someone else who may know is a gold record considered a flop? Anyway I have to say good for Vanessa that’s great news. I knew there was a reason why she didn’t go to Austraila, she had clearly business to take care of. Silly, silly Zanessa fans, he said affectionately, getting yourshelves all worked up. With all the meetings she’s been having at places like the William Morris Agency I wouldn’t be suprised if something is announced before to long. That’s so great for Vanessa that things are going from strenght to strenght for her and why not she deserves it, she’s apologised enough and is doing the right thing and getting on with her life. The paper’s annoyme with the break up rumours, they are both in a business that keeps couple’s apart from time to time becuase of work commitments but that does’nt mean they have broke up, to me the photo’s I have seen of Zac in Aussie he looks really sad on them, but that could have been becuase he was missing Vanessa but no straight away ‘they’ve broke up’ get’s printed.
I think that Vanessa looks great and hope that we do see some picture’s of them together soon especially with Zac’s birthday this week which I hope he enjoy’s away from the bloody press.
If you think about it though if they spent every minute together then people would comment on that and find fault with it, but when they’re apart again people instantly start breakup rumours so either way they can’t win.
That’s just my view I support Vanessa and wish her well and also love her and Zac together and wish them well too, and they should just say stuff everyone we know we’re happy and like any other couple will have a few rough patches but hey we’ll get through it.

Thanks for the info Z & V Fan. One of my problems aside from the iffy source was what I thought was a conflict of interest. Meaning that I didn’t see how Vanessa could be a spokesmodel for Skechers AND Echo Red at the same time. But if I understand the information correctly (I don’t speak corporate) that Echo Red is actually a brand of Skechers and therefore there’s no conflict. So yeah I agree this is on the level and good for her.
You are correct. Ecko Red falls under the Skechers umbrella of companies so no conflict there. I was wondering about it myself which is why I decided to do a little research of my own.

I am sick of hearing people talk about Vanessa’s lack of morals and values. She has a right to a private life. What she does privately is HER OWN BUSINESS!!! Exploring sexuality is part of all our lives; we just didn’t have the world watching. Publicly, she has been nothing but classy, keeping herself away from trouble and the nasty LA party scene that has gotten so many others into trouble. She appears at charity events and spends time with her family and friends. She is in a relationship with a great guy instead of sleeping around. She’s working pretty damn hard on her career for an almost 19 year old. How is any of that bad morals??

Troy, I just don’t think that the picture should be made out to be momentous, and certainly not in the same category as JFK, Vietnam, Watergate, or 9/11. Teenage sexuality is not historic. It’s been around forever. This generation, however, has technology like the internet and camera phones, which they use frequently, and has gotten them into lots of trouble. I know….I work with 1300 adolescents. This stuff happens a lot more than you know, and even to good kids! Actually, a pic is not even shocking….you should hear about the other stuff kids do!

Troy, you are halarious, and you have a very good point. People talk about the pictures of Vanessa like they changed the world, caused a catastrophe, destroyed lives and endagered the lives of thousands of people. When in truth, the only people the pictures affected were Vanessa, her boyfriend, her family, and her friends. Not her fans, not the media, not even Disney, but the people around her.
It’s pretty stupid that people are making such a big deal out of something that many teenage girls do everyday. The only difference between them and Vanessa, is that she was unlucky enough to have them spread all over the internet. And even then, if she wasn’t famous, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal, because stuff like that HAS happened to other girls around the world before.
If I remember correctly, back in Ancient Greek and Roman times, naked bodies were considered beautiful. Some of the best paintings and sculptures even today contain women, and even men, posing naked. It was once considered an art. How sad is it that from Ancient times to now, being naked in public is considered breaking a law, punishable by fine.

We have this leading newspaper (Phils) that features Vanessa in their Entertainment Section, The editor writes about the success of Vanessa as our very own Half Filipina, listed in Forbes Magazine 7th richest teen, and her success in HSM2 and especially making beautiful music w/ hottie Zac Efron.
Then the unfortunate matter came to vanessa.. He suddenly wrote in his column the word “Sayang” (Filipino word) which means “Its such a waste” and i was like.. OMG! what the F..k he is saying! and then i realized that what he wrote in his previous column was based on other sources and not his own research! what an editor.. tsk tsk..i was disspointed considering he’s a veteran in the field. I emailed him immediately about whats going on w/ vanessa, i even sent him new pix of vanessa, to prove that the girl is doing fine and getting more projects and happy w/ zac and her life! After that, numerous reaction came to vanessa’s defense! and im just elated that a lot of people actually cared! and for that i dont read his column anymore, its just a waste!

She made a mistake and like many have said if she was’nt famous nobody would have cared less, bet if it had been Zac sending pictures of him to her it would have been atotally different reaction.
She apologised and has shown great dignity in not letting the press get to her anymore and is finally smiling again. At least she know’s the real people she can rely on and trust, her family, friends and Zac who has stood by her, good for him.
It’s great to see her doing photo shoots,going to award things and facing the press and public head on. Her mistake is in the past where it belongs.
I hope that we see some Zanessa soon and that Zac has a good birthday and spends it with the people who mean the most to him and that he and V get to spend some quality time together after all this time apart.
And it was great to see that they both still wear the rings. Go Vanessa and may your careeer go from strenght to strenght as well as your relactionship with Zac.
P.S. And if V get’s offered some modelling work good for her, some modelling can be very tasteful and amazing without having your clothes off and I doubt that she would do nude anyway like it has been suggested by some people after the scandal.

I like the fact that Vanessa has always tried to maintain a positive outlook. She doesn’t want to become like what we’ve come to expect from young Hollywood and she attempts surround herself with positive people that avoid that lifestyle also. I love her talent and her ability to transform herself (Troy you are right is that she never looks the same in one photo to the next). But most of all, this situation has shown me her strength of character - which is something I would have never expected from someone so young. It is difficult for anyone at any age to hold their head up and continue to move forward in a sea of negativity. Our Vanessa has done and continues to do it gloriously.
I don’t see how anyone could not admire this young lady. She is truly a winner in my book!
I hope Vanessa knows how many people love and support her. So many times, people are only fed the negative…even when the positive is overwhelming. We true fans stand behind her through the best and worst times.

I’m afraid I come bearing bad news: I was watching E News and they reported that Vanessa has not signed any million dollar deal with Skecher, and this comes from her publicist. I have to be honest I was skeptical about this because the rest of the story that ran on Celebrity Babylon closely resembled the substance that comes from the backside of a male cow. The purpose of the “article” seemed mainly to fan the flames of the nonexistent feud between Vanessa and Ashley Tisdale.Plus the lack of any independent reputable source was telling. I SUPPOSE its possible that this may just be a stalling tactic by Vanessa’s people because they’re waiting for Skechers to officially make an announcement. I doubt that but we’ll see. Unfortunately at this point this looks like a falsehood.

I know that she’s working on her new CD but if I were her agent I would be trying to get her a role in something not Diseny related. Even if its just a guest spot on a TV show I’m thinking something in the “Law & Order” francise. She told Variety that she’s reading scripts so who knows maybe there will be an announcement on that in the near future. I think it’s really important for her to do something acting related right now even if its a small independent film which might be better then a studio film. I think even though the scandal might have given her more name recognition but its for the wrong reasons and casting directors might be reluctant to take her seroiusly. If that’s the case she needs to do something to change that perception and soon.
