Ricky Martin lays himself down alongside his star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame on Tuesday in Hollywood, Calif.
Johnny Grant, the Honorary Mayor of Hollywood, congratulated Ricky on selling 55 million records worldwide. Ricky is the 2351st person to get one — how special!

He’s cute and has contributed to the music industry and toward humanitarian efforts, but, seriously, they give these stars away like hot cakes now. At this rate, all of L.A. will be covered with these on every sidewalk! Is it true that a check written to the right people really is all that is required to buy a star?? Who votes for these?? It should be the public.

indeed, he’s a great entertainer, his music is great, very talented artist…more than what we can say of many Hollywood “idols” who are really worth nothing…and more important than anything else, he is just a beautiful person, he is really making a difference in many people’s lives…especially those who need it the most and cannot defend themselves

Contrary to some’s belief Ricky has maintained a successful music career since “Livin La Vida Loca”. His albums have been on the top of the Latin charts ever since. In addition, his work for victims of sex slavery, prostitution and trafficking is to be commended. Not a pretty subject, most celebrities wouldn’t touch it with a 10-ft pole. One of my good friends knows him well and he is as generous in person as he is in the public eye. I definitely think his 23-year spanning career and charity work merit a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Way to go Ricky!
