Us Weekly has chosen Suri Cruise, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ adorable little daughter, as this week’s cover girl!
The tab tackles Scientology and how it’s affected Suri’s upbringing:
– Suri was fed a mixture of barley water, milk and corn syrup, as advocated by L. Ron Hubbard, instead of formula and breast milk.
– She is too young to take classes at the Scientology Centre, but is constantly surrounded by believers, including her two nannies. “Tom doesn’t like associating with people who aren’t Scientologists,” says an insider.

US Weekly is so full of ****. Giving a baby barley, milk and corn syrup instead of breast milk or formula in this day and age would count as child abuse. Suri would clearly be malnourished.
There was a health nut couple I heard about on the news that gave their baby only soy milk (not soy formula) and apple juice because they believed it was the healthiest thing to give their baby. It died at 2 months and only weighed as much as a newborn and they are going to prison.

I really, really, really hope they did not follow the barley formula mixture and gave that baby either breastmilk or baby formula. From what a site, given on a link here by another poster, says it seems unlikely that Suri was given the Scientologist formula as she looks like an extremely healthy baby whereas babies given the formula were lethargic and malnourished, and behaved as well as looked very sickly. But then who knows. I really hope she’s getting the best of care though.
But how anyone could say that a mother’s breastmilk is not good at all for a mother’s own child is beyond me. Now THAT is kooky.

That is silly. Of course we all have to make judgements. We have to decide what is right or wrong, healthy or unhealthy in our lives. We would be foolish if we did didnt discern that what someone is doing might be detrimental.
God never said not to judge. He said judge not lest ye be judged. Which means, if you are going to judge someone, you best not be engaged in any wrong activities yourself. That would be hypocritical.
Spreading the word about a group who has damaged many people’s lives and continues to, is being responsible.

No the poster seems to be saying that he or she can’t believe people would defend scientology practices just because the cult has been named a religion.
The church is being investigated for deaths while in their “care”. Mostly the victims of people with mental illness’ who the church urged their family to take them off of destructive prescribed meds (since Scientologist believe you can cure all mental illness and disorders with a mixture of vitamins, exercise and expensive “sessions”.

I see a happy family. That baby is gorgeous, the spitting image of her mum, who to me, seems like a very sweet,classy, down to earth person. She’s had a hell of a year in 2006 and yetshe never seems to haver a bad word or face to anyone.
