He may have all the money in the world but the one thing he can’t ever buy himself a bit of integrity. He’d actually have to earn that.

lwicd - the gossip storm that the getting together of Angie and Brad has caused is just unreal. OK I have to say this!

I actually am a fan of Angelina, ever since Hackers but these last movie roles of her are just simply lacking true image change characterization.
Typical american cinema mistake; make an epoque movie and the actors still displaying their fake big bleached white american teeth in a scarlet smile!

Already in ‘A mighty heart’ I read a critic pointing out how stupid it looked the fact that Angelina aka Marianne was always with the same hair style (wig) through out the movie, (going to bed, coming from shower always the same) taking a lot of the credibility to the character.

Wonder if it’s the same with this wig as well.

Angelina had some yellow lenses and yellowed teeth in some recent role to make her look more look an alcohoolic woman from the 40’s ; details rarely remembered. Anyway you are all a bunch of kids who are here to see who loves or hates Angelina, and know **** about cinema…

I am saying here things I see that don’t help her get the credit she deserves in some of her roles, and I’d like to see more directors/producers realizing what’s obviously out of the picture.

I do understand it truly is WORK to lose weight for some women (including myself LOL) and those who have a naturally heavy frame do resent naturally thin women. It’s NOT fair! And star in Clint Eastwood movie, And be an Oscar winner, And to be praised for the movie role in AMH that Miss Pity would have had! Poor jilted Jen works soooo hard to keep in shape, and how come that Angelina gets to be so thin without all the yoga and Zone diet! That’s why the trolls are here. First of all, you’re not a fan of Angie’s. You’re just another troll, so I call bullshit on that statement.

Secondly, the critic you cited is stupid, but you’re even stupider for citing him or her. If the person had done their homework they would have known that Mariane Pearl wears her hair in that style ALL THE TIME. Hell, moron, she even had her in that same upswept do in most of the interviews she did for the promotion of the movie!

Lastly, if a critic is so nitpicky that he watched a movie as intense and poignant as AMH and spent all his time fixating on the lead actresses hairstyle, well, then he’s just NOT a very good critic. If he really had enough space in his review to comment on her hair, then I seriously doubt he understood the importance of what was being played out on the screen before him. The very pregnant Mariane Pearl was more concerened with finding her husband alive and bringing him home safely than she was her daily hairstyling.

It’s just downright ridiculous that a movie critic would fixate on something so unimportant during a life & death situation. Does he really think Marianne Pearl took more than a cursory interest in her appearance during this time in her life? If so, let’s hope this critic isn’t married. “Oh, honey, I was really concerned that you might have been blown to bits or dismembered and your body parts scattered across the globe…BUT…I had to do my hair first.” Moron.

Donald Frump has never liked Angie. He is so jealous of her fame and good looks and the fact that she does not need his approval to be great. He forgives his drugged up beauty queens but cannot forgive Angie who he doesn’t even know, even with all the good that it is obvious that she does. He is truly a jerk and all about making money at anyones elses expense. I have no respect for John Voight who does not speak up for his daughter if he supposedly is there for her no matter what. Thank God Angie has Brad, a man who truly loves her and respects her.

Krung - I doubt we get the same FOX channels. Mine is a local affiliate that’s owned by a company that has an ABC station in town as well. My guess, though, is that it will be “live” feed and Brad & Casey are in LA. Angie’s filming and I can’t imagine Brad leaving LA just for an interview.

You’re even dumber than I thought and you haven’t seen the movie! What “shower” scene? I saw it 4 months ago, but I don’t recall any shower scenes. As for bed - HELLO, LOSER! The woman wears her hair up all the time. As do a lot of people. And yes, they even wear their head to bed like that. Furthermore, anyone with curly hair can tell you that it’s a hell of a lot easier to comb the next day if you don’t wear it lose to bed. Bedhead for people with straight hair is one thing…bed hair for curly hair is 2-hour detangling waiting to happen. And this is a woman who was spending day and night on the search for her kidnapped husband. She would not have been concerned about her hairdo! She’d have done whatever was easiest and kept her energy and concentration on getting her husband back. The movie was very realistic in it’s depiction of the day-to-day search. What is unrealistic is a character who’s frantically searching for her husband…but she has 30 hairstayles and 60 wardrobe changes in the space of 90 minutes.

guli, I am truly happy you are finally going to see TAOJJ. You will enjoy. Not wanting to over hype it, but it is really, really good. And Brad is truly mesmerizing. I read that article about TAOJJ it was a rather good article, positive and well written. I was just reading this review about Reese’s new movie Rendition and the reviewer was a little snarky about her performance.

The title of the review was ” Big, boring world”

He went on to say…”Reese Witherspoon, having yet to prove that her Oscar was more than the byproduct of a bad year for leading women, plays the pregnant wife working to free her husband. Jake Gyllenhaal is the principled CIA newbie trying to mine him for information. Neither is particularly interesting. Butt-Ugly Trump Claims To Be Authority On Beauty

How is it that a man with a face like impacted bowels can hold forth about beauty? That fiendish creature he’s married to also seems to think she’s beautiful but she could peel the paint off a wall with that scowl. Just because you own it doesn’t mean you get it.

Donald Trump has decided to lecture the masses on what beauty is. Donald’s concept of beauty comes from the glossy brochure of his favorite plastic surgeon. All of his wives have been beautiful in that Stepford kind of way, as is his daughter, Ivanka. But they’re about as sexy and exciting as slow-cooked oatmeal.

The Donald made his bi-weekly soundbite this week by trashing Angelina Jolie, saying that while she’s attractive, she’s not beautiful. Uh, OK. That’s like calling a Ferrari a two-seater. Furthering the car analogy, while Angelina has like 500 horsepower idling under the hood, just rarin’ to rip, his wife, Melania, is a 240-hp sedan and Ivanka would be in the moped range.

Mr. Trump went on to validate his statement by reminding us, his dimwitted public, that he does own both Miss America and Miss Universe franchises. Because we’re not as dumb as we look, we do recall quite clearly that Trump was able to pick up both entities for a song because no one else wanted them. The pageant business has become dated and grossly unappealing to the majority of American viewers. The only real publicity these contests have gotten in recent years has been negative - Tara Conner being sent to rehab, for example.

Trump should zip his lip, tuck in his twenty-pound comb-over and take Mrs. Grinch back up to their ivory tower, where they belong.

Yes, the PACKAGE, the fake package that Miss Pity works SO hard to maintain, in fact that is her full-time job LOL! She should be really given a prize for that extreme hard work. But the fakeness is still fakeness. Just imagine waking up next to a BROWN eyed woman every morning, who magically becomes blue eyed at breakfast table. That should have told Brad something what a FRAUD he was married to, and as she deceives the public day in and day out, he got the clue she deceived him for all those years on starting a family and kept lying about it. But hey, thanks to the divorce she is still getting jobs. I sure hope Miss Pity is sending thanks notes to Brad and Angie.

The NY Post (blah) posted a story about Brad and Angelina moving around with their children a lot. They used some psychotherapist who said some bullsh*t about Maddox not having a stable environment and how it might hurt him in the long run.

Side note: Is stability the new “cool” catch word? Everybody seems to be using it.

In response to this story, Cindy G said that the story was “unfair to them” and that “it’s nobody’s business what they do with their kids.” She said Maddox only goes to Lycée schools.

Jolie film carrys Mighty message

It seems inevitable — and richly deserved — that Angelina Jolie will be nominated for a best actress Oscar for A Mighty Heart.

She really is that refined, that eerily accurate in conjuring the spirit of heroine and journalist Mariane Pearl. Mariane is the French widow of American journalist Daniel Pearl, who was kidnapped by Islamic terrorists in Pakistan in 2002.

With Jolie’s interpretation of Mariane at its core, A Mighty Heart chronicles the desperate search for him after the kidnapping, a search that galvanized a remarkable group of people from the U.S., Pakistan and India to work together in a common cause.

A Mighty Heart, skilfully directed by Englishman Michael Winterbottom, arrived on DVD this week in a widescreen-only edition that sets the story in its proper context. Despite being Oscar-bound, despite hoopla because it was produced by Brad Pitt, despite being a taut, documentary-style thriller, A Mighty Heart has a higher calling.

Jolie explains her commitment to the story and to Mariane Pearl in an excellent 31-minute DVD documentary, Journey of Passion: “She, to me, is just one of the best examples that we have in the world today of somebody who can keep us all on the right path and not get distracted.”

Jolie adds that Mariane Pearl “suffered the ugliest side” of world politics and terrorism through the death of her husband, and yet emerged with a desire to broker peace, to maintain dialogue between extremes. Pearl’s message, Jolie says, is clear: “We cannot just be angry and blinded by hatred.”

The film, of course, carries that message in a dramatic setting. That is why it is so important, even if it appears to be a simple rendering of the facts. The greater message is woven into the mostly real-life characters presented.

The DVD also has a brief doc on the 25-year-old Committee to Protect Journalists and a public service spot from Christiane Amanpour on that committee.

Evan Almighty was released last week on DVD. Both movies (AMH & EA) came out in theater same week.

#258 and #269..Beauty is in the eye of beholder. Though you creeps thought Angelina is not that beauty, I thought she is beautiful inside and out. This is what makes her interesting.
Angelina is a unique person, who has brain, talent, beauty, and compassion. She juggles her time by making it worthwhile.
I don’t care whether she wins an award or not. The most important is she is happy with Brad and her family and her conviction of helping the refugees. That is all that matters to her not a show off flashy pretentious world.
For all you know, she has more upcoming movies in line and more money for the refugees and all other charitable groups she support.

I finally watched Snatch last night; I was so surprised that I liked it as much as I did. I typically steer away from films about crooks and members of society’s underbelly, but it rocked. Brad’s performance as Mickey rivals his turns as Tyler Durden and Jeffrey in Twelve Monkeys as my favorite BP role.

I was so excited about this and TAOJJ being at my local theater, until I read about another ‘journalist’ doing a $h*tty job with a simple assignment, which immediately made me think about the AMH and FOX controversy. I read that a ‘journalist’, while interviewing Tyler Perry and Janet Jackson, proceeded to make snarky comments to her about the Superbowl. Apparently, Tyler came to her defense; her fans, along with Tyler’s, slammed the station with letters and emails about the journalist’s conduct. A week later, he gave an on-air apology.

Now I haven’t seen the clip, but I am pissed. Why? Because the chicken$hit news station removed the clip and replaced it with the @$$hole’s apology. That bothers me on so many levels because, IMO, they are trying to cover it up before it gets to be a bigger story. And if news stations can repeatedly show the wardrobe malfunction, why can’t they show their ‘journalists’ intellectual, ethical, and professional malfunction. It is only fair, since journalists put themselves in the position of policing and critiquing celebrities’ conduct and embarassing moments that they should be subject to the same scrutiny.

To the JPs, I presume that Maddox’s asking ‘Is that real’ when he saw the dinosaur skeleton for the first time has more resonance than the NYP’s slapped together analysis. What’s sad is the NYP hoped that it wouldn’t.

Well, NY post page 6 tried to ruin Angie’s life by bringing in “fony” T Beams. We exposed her, and it backfired. The adoption community praised Angie and Brad for what they were doing.

Now NY post is TRYING ANOTHER TACTIC. Since attacking their adoption doesnt work, they are now attacking the adopted children.

to NY post, do you have to sink this low. Children, whether bio or adopted are innocent people, please leave them alone.

That being said, I think Angie is a dedicated mom, the opposite of Britney. she seems really love and care the children. Besides, I really don’t think there is anything wrong with a nomadic life, besides, the kid is just 6 years old, he has pretty of chance to make friends later in life. who really remember their kindergarten or elementary schools ‘friends’? I would prefer a nomadic life than a stable life. it’s very boring to go the same places and seeing the same people day after day.

I don’t think they’re married in the traditional sense with a license and a legal ceremony. I think they’re committed and consider themselves married and that’s all they need. I used to be on the “they’re married train” but since both have denied it, they’re not married and not going to get let something like a piece of paper determine how they refer to each other. Angie did infamously say to Anderson Cooper that she’s “not a wife”, but in the past she has referred to Brad as her husband and Brad has called Angie his wife andn “the Mrs.” - that’s enough for them.

#284 - you have such dislike for Angie that it never occurred to you that Angie was deeply hurt by BBT. BBT left the marriage right after the adoption of Maddox. I always felt that Angie’s divorces from BBT was much harder on her than on BBT. But you have no sympathy for her. Angie’s distractors are so quick to always criticize her for any or everything. Yet they don’t want to recognize she is a human being who had many adversities, including an old husband who only wanted to be married to a young sex symbol, but didn’t want to assume the responsibilites of being a husband and father. That was devastating to Angie. Yet she survived without asking for a constant pity party from the world. She picked herself up and went on with her life with Maddox. Then fate brought Brad into her life - and she into his life.

I know this is corny, but B&A seem to fulfill an emptiness they each had in their respective lifes before they met. They each were successful and beautiful, etc. but there was a void in their private lives. At this point in their lkives, he needs her and she needs him. That is romantic. That is why I enjoy reading and seeing good things about them. They deserve happiness.

Sasha, I share your feelings. Cameras follow them day and night because they want to have something negative to report about and since they’ve found none, we have to deal with people’s opinion everyday. The family is doing just fine.

NO, NO NO! Closest place is Buffalo, about an hours drive! Not too bad but I called the theater and they are sold out all weekend!! Which is good for the movie! Not me though! Best days to catch it are Tuesdays, yeah that works for me, not! We have a really well known theater here that plays hard to find movies. They can’t afford it. I called. Well I hope this is a good movie - I think Angelina is a good actor and we know what Clint Eastwood can do as a director and actor himself so that’s very positive. I rented A Mighty Heart last night and really didn’t like it. Boring, unhappy, depressing movie and fast subtitles. It was released on DVD on Tuesday - usually the video store is out of all new releases by Tuesday evening and it continues like that for a few days. A Mighty Heart wasn’t even listed on the Blockbuster board as a new release but it was on the shelf. When I went in last night the shelves had lots of copies - a sure sign that it won’t do well in DVD either. How many here watched and really liked it -not just because it was an Angie movie?

Sasha, I share your feeling about the society. I was watching how the woman who took Ellen’s dog was sent death threats and stuff. The information that the media put out sometimes is unhealthy for the people involved. They claim some experts say something, why put that for the whole nation to decide? why not contact the family directly if you feel concerned.
Does US putting babies in front of their cover good for the mental health of the babies and their family? They might want to take a poll on that.
