I’m a big fan of Ashley Tisdale, but even I could tell she was lip-synching.
I guess it’s kind of expected. Miley Cyrus lip-synches, I think even Vanessa has lip-synched before. The only difference between Vanessa and Ashley is I’ve heard Vanessa sing live and she’s still very good, where as Ashley singing acapella (without music) needs some work.
You can tell the difference between live and fake. When you sing live, the background music is different and the vocals tend to sound different too. Nobody sounds the same as what you hear on a CD. So yea, she lip-synched. And she’s not that great of a singer, but she’s a killer actress.
I just wish she’d stop trying to play this sexy, i’m-so-hot, role and just be herself. Ashley is more of the flower-behind-the-hair, laid-back girl, and she should stop trying to change that.

Was just watching the lighting of the big tree in NY tonight…saw this Ashley Tisdale (never heard of her before) and was like “who the hell is this girl…lipsynching in Rockefeller Center?” Weird. Notice that they never pan to the audience around her (as they did with previous singers who were not lipsynching prior to their “performance”). To top it off she was lipsynching to some x-mas song made famous by WHAM!…funny. Then if you will notice at the very end the sound track is still going and she is not moving her lips at all and has the microphone covering her mouth waiting for it to be turned on or something (the microphone). Then with the soundtrack still going in the background…she mumbles “thank you!” Wow! Her voice is different from her soundtrack singing voice. Hmmmm. Way to go! Guess she can pull this one over on her pre-teen Disney audience. Another “Britney”

She’s one of these folks that got record deals off of something that was hot (HSM) that really and truly should not have. Just like Mitchel Musso and Emily Osment (sp?) with Hannah Montana.
