There’s a difference between being jealous than having an opinion.
When your opinions are colored by your jealousy they are essentially worthless.
Jared didn’t ask for your opinion on her character; all he wanted to know is what you think about the dress. You couldn’t give him a straight answer without dragging your threadbare morality into it.

don’t care much for the circles, but she should have something on her dress that draws attention not circles. .

I have to disagree. The dress doesn’t need anything to draw attention to it. It’s understated and elegant and the circles just detract from that.
