Jennifer Garner: No Tabloids, Please!

I like Jen, but I guess I never thought of PEOPLE as a tabloid. I thought their reporting was fairly accurate and unbiased. They usually put a positive spin on their subjects and I do like their human interest stories. It’s not a magazine I would buy for celebrity pics. But I think Jen was just making a point and standing by it. Good for her.

That was real dumb.

People is a pretty good celeb magazine that generally does the celebs more good than harm. Once they get wind of this, I wonder how Garner is going to spin it. She needs them to stay relevant, otherwise no one would really care. She’s not particularly attractive, smart or talented.

It’d been different if it was US Weekly or something like that, but People is used by celebs to promote their stuff. They don’t go after celebs and hunt them down.

I am so glad she did that because now maybe People will stop putting her in their magazine and blog on a daily basis. I stopped buying people just so I wouldn’t have to see the “miss full of s#it” in their magazine. She has to be one of the most annoying celebrities. I cannot wait till she packs and moves back to California…She is stinking up NYC.

I agree with you on that Maria del Barrio, maybe there is a silver lining.

But you know what I think is funny, Jennifer Garner actually believes that by ignoring the tabs, people will focus on her “talent”.

Someone needs to tell her no talent a*ss that the only reason people like her is because they think she’s nice and she had a baby. Without that she’d no longer be relevant. So in essence, ignoring the tabs is going to kill what little career she has left.

MEOW! my you girls are catty. she is very pretty with lots of talent. good for her, all should follow her lead. then there won’t be so much lies and more lies, about such wonderful celebrities. of course, you little ones still adore your tabloid queen, she has to be famous for something i guess. way to go jennifer garner! show how much class she has, not to stoop low with the tabloids!

You know, that’s why there’s all the hate here. Nobody can get over the fact she dumped that boring, no talent guy for the multi-talented (Oscar winner), more exciting Ben. Get over it guys it was FOUR YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!! There are all these bitter vartan hos on this blog.

I respect her for not wanting to sign People. WOuld you want to be caught reading it? It’s tabloid trash. So is this blog, but nobody I respect is going to see me reading THIS S***. i do it in the dark.

Matt Damon is right–being in the tabloids helps your acting career not one iota, so by dissing them she is NOT hurting her career AT ALL. nobody won an acting job by being in the tabloids. You are All idiots!

AND, when you have that many adoring fans surrounding you, it means you are well liked and loved, as an actress and person.

Myabe she didn’t realize it was People. I’m sure in that situation things happen so fast and people are just shoving things at you. People does have tabloid-type pictures. It’s easy to lump them together. If she saw a candid picture that she didn’t pose for/agree to, I could see her not wanting to sign it.

(ugh, I hate defending celebrities. lol)

Jennifer Garner is a hypocrite, the first ever pictures of Violet which were taken in Boston appeared in People magazine and those pictures were clearly staged by Jennifer and her PR people.

If it was Star, Us Weekly,or any real tabloid, I could see her point. However, it was People magazine. Far from a tabloid, if you ask me.

Real nice of her to treat her fans like garbage.

I really hate jennifer garner..she looks very ugly..

But she’s always in People magazine. Hard to believe she would refuse to sign a magazine that features her just about every week. I don’t think she’s aging well. She used to look pretty during the early years of Alias, but I don’t think she’s very attractive anymore. I think she likes to be famous and part of Affleck’s appeal was that she would be so with him. Who’d be taking her picture, People or anyone else, if she was still married to Scott Foley?

Looks like she was asked to sign the page with a picture of her and her daughter, right? So good for her for not signing.
