Wow I am too, this is my second time to be in first page, hello to all who love BAMPZS family and friends who keep this side, day and evening and night. I just love the news that they are teaming up. Looking forward to see their special

ANother polictical show that nobody wants to see. People don’t like entertainers spoon feeding them on what to think about issues presently. Case and point: Rees’s new film, In the Valley of Elah, Carlize Therson’s new film, and of course Jolies film A Mighty Heart. That bombed big time!

They are really committed to each other.What a wonderful couple. And hello too to every fans of Brad & Angie!

People don’t like 911 related movies for obvious reasons. It’s too soon!

I wish the best for them both on their together adventure!

Obviously, there are some projects that they do that are not meant to generate money but to get the message out there. These problems are real whether we like them or not. Some are part of the history that we’ll one day look back to. Again, I say it is all about passion and not about money.

I watched Angie’s movie again tonight…”A Mighty Heart” (I’ve seen it in the theatre when it was shown a few months ago)…God, she’s a brilliant actress! Please see it on DVD, it’s been out since Tuesday….there are quite a few contenders for Best Actress next year, but she is THE best! Not saying this because I’m a fan, I’m saying it ‘coz it’s true… I’m sure the trolls will disagree but we’ll wait and see next year…..

This is great news! I don’t care what anyone else says or thinks - I am quite happy to support their projects and feel that the messages they are putting out are important and meaningful. People who want to have their awareness raised will gravitate towards these projects, and that is the type of viewer that they make these projects for.

While the masses wallow in their ignorance and lowest common denominator entertainment, Brad and Angie keep on living and loving and doing what they feel is important. Films such as O13 and MaMS are more of a means to an end - great entertainment and pull in revenue to do the projects about issues that are dear to their hearts. Bravo Brad and Angie - go on with your awesome selves!!!

Film festival to honor Jolie for role in ‘A Mighty Heart’

Angelina Jolie will receive the Outstanding Performance of the Year Award at the upcoming Santa Barbara International Film Festival for her turn in “A Mighty Heart,” festival organizers have announced.

Jolie starred as Mariane Pearl, the wife of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, in “A Mighty Heart,” which was based on Mariane Pearl’s same-titled book about her husband. He was kidnapped and killed by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002 while pursuing a story involving a shoe bomber and al-Qaida.

Festival director Roger Durling said he was pleased to honor Jolie for “what is arguably one of the most extraordinary female roles of the year.” She will get the award Feb. 2.

She previously won an Oscar for her supporting role in “Girl Interrupted.” She also starred with companion Brad Pitt in “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” She will appear in the upcoming film “Beowulf” and is slated to be in Clint Eastwood’s “The Changeling.”

Earlier this month, festival organizers announced that Cate Blanchett will receive the Modern Master Award, the event’s highest honor, on Jan. 26. Blanchett won an Oscar for her turn as Katharine Hepburn in “The Aviator” and currently stars as Queen Elizabeth I in “Elizabeth: The Golden Age.” Her other credits include “Babel” and “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

The 23rd annual Santa Barbara festival will take place from Jan. 24 to Feb. 3. It sits amid the fervor over Oscar nominations and the Academy Awards show itself and typically attracts Hollywood A-listers. Past honorees have included George Clooney, Will Smith, Helen Mirren, Jodie Foster, Leonardo DiCaprio and Diane Keaton.

THERE’S a scene near the end of the excellent film of Mariane Pearl’s best-selling memoir A Mighty Heart that will resonate with anybody concerned with responsible journalism and the question of how much information is too much.

For those who may not remember, in January 2002 Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl was researching a story in Karachi when he was abducted by al-Qa’ida terrorists and brutally murdered. His wife Mariane, then five months pregnant, played an important role in the investigation of Pearl’s disappearance, and this is the focus of the book and the movie.

Mariane Pearl (played with praiseworthy, unstarlike restraint by Angelina Jolie) is being interviewed by a CNN journalist after learning that her husband has been killed by his captors. A journalist herself, Mariane is sufficiently media-savvy to parry initial inflammatory questions, but the interviewer insists on going for what is known in the movie business as “the money shot”. Has she watched the video, he asks, the one made by Pearl’s murderers of his bloody death and subsequent decapitation. Outraged, she replies, “Have you no decency?”

This, perhaps, is what we should ask ourselves: how much decency and how much restraint do we want from the media when they turn their attention to human tragedy?

It’ll be an amazing premiere if Anthony Hopkins, Ray Winstone, Robin Wright Penn (and Sean Penn), John Malkovich and Crispin Glover are all there.

This is fantastic. Finally the people that truly deserve the recognition will be acknowledged. Being a humanitarian is about more than just lending your name to a cause. It’s a shame that this isn’t going to be a documentary but thanks anyway Brangelina for taking the time to make such a movie. I truly hope it’s realistic and reflects the true nature of the politics without all the hollywood styling.

I watched it last night. Cried again, but at least it was in the privacy of my own home.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are already partners on a handful of huge projects – namely Maddox, Shiloh, Zahara and Pax –

After spending some family time in New York (where Pitt also filmed his new movie Burn After Reading), the couple recently returned to Los Angeles, where Jolie is filming The Changeling with Clint Eastwood.

Brad and Angie really complement each other. Angie get this idea, Brad get the producing skill and since he was older , wiser and longer in Hollywood circle, he had the proper HW connection. They are lucky to have found each other. it’s their fate and destiny!

Beauty and brains ! The are a rare breed in Hollywood : charismatic, fierce, stunning, intellectual and yet able to remain entertaining in the true Hollywood sense.

Gasp 1, Brad and Angelina are producing a hbo series which will place the spot light squarely on the sorts of wonderful work on the nameless Aid workers all over the world - especially that wonderful aid organisation called Doctors Without Borders.

Gasp 2: Brad and Angelina are not starring in it as the Drs or aid workers themselves and thus will not be in the spotlight themselves. Just the actors and actresses who are there to show the work of the under appreciated aid workers and doctors who risk their lives in war zones to help war victims.

After all the comments about how Brad and Angelina don’t deserve the kudos but the field worker does, I hope the LOSIES show their appreciation for the stories that are told about aid workers on the field by watching the show everytime it airs and buying the DVDs of the series.

Though the LOSIES cannot show their appreciation directly to the real aid workers, I’m sure the aid workers would be thrilled to know that their stories are being told and that their work is being appreciated by a wider audience. It’s like being a lawyer or a doctor and someone does a show about the valuable work that doctors and lawyers do every day in the emergency rooms or wards or clinics every day. Trust me as a lawyer married to a doctor, we appreciate that our good work is recognised, even if it is played out by a group of actors on TV.

And no doubt the profits from this show will benefit these aid organisations.

So, all those LOSIES who have been bitching about how it isn’t Brad and Angelina who should be getting the kudos, here is a chance to REALLY show that you appreciate the true humanitarians, the true workers who labour on the field, BY WATCHING THE SHOW that places REAL AID WORKERS’, THE REAL HEROES’ stories RIGHT in the centre of the SERIES.

And I’m sure there is no need to play up the drama. Drama will exist every day on the field. All Scott Burns will need to do is interview the Aid workers and Doctors without Borders and tell it like it is. The stories will be full of drama and pathos.

Another reason to like this couple.
I probably like Angelina more because she is far from perfect and she would probably be the first one to admit that. She came from a broken home, had a lot of issues because of that, went through so many juvenile mistakes and some really harrowing tragedies but through all that she was still able to pick herself up and move on with her life. Found inspiration from her son, grew up and then became so lucky by finding a man who loves her, who she loves and who she can share all of her passions with. Lucky woman. And, like she said in a few interviews, she knows it. :-)

This is going to a hard movie to sell. As a mother, I find it very diffcult to watch movies about children being murdered or tortured or to watching movies of mothers looking for lost children. It makes me feel just physically ill and I know several of my friends who are mothers say the same thing.

Sometimes directors find it difficult to reign in over-the-top performances even though it could ruin the film (I seem to recall reading that Martin Scorsese had a hard time controlling Jack Nicholson in The Departed and just let him act in his own way, thankfully did not ruin the movie). I did find some slow patches, but then I attributed it to Dominik really wanting the time to tell his story — everyone seems to be rushing so much these days that we don’t have time to slow down, savor and just enjoy something just because.

By the way, I also saw your comment about Brad having the production company to facilitate Angie’s project. You know, I’ve always wondered why if Plan B was set up to help the ex-wife find better roles, how come in all their time together (wasn’t Plan B set up in 2002?) not one project with her in it was ever greenlighted? They did have projects that were made, such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Departed, Troy, and A Mighty Heart, but all the projects earmarked for the ex was just in the planning stage, none of them was even remotely ready to film.

After all, Ted C. made it sound like promoting the h*ll out of something means instant success at the B.O. GC and Tyler Perry promoted the h*ll out of their respective films; TP came out on top. Halle and Reese promoted the h*ll out their projects, although Halle seemed to have promoted hers more; Reese did better than Halle’s but neither performed extraordinarily well.

Brad has said more than once that he wanted a production company in which he could tell stories that interested him. Especially ones in which he wouldnt be quite right to star in himself(0r presumably Jen) Although there might be instances when he might feel a character suited him. They did have some projects for Jen but Plan B was NOT primarily to be a company showcasing Brad’s or jen’s acting.

This is a misconception about the beginnings of Plan B. Brad DID NOT start the production company to find X movies. He and Brad Grey started the production company because at one point Brad was burned out with acting and wanted to be involved in movies outside of an acting capacity. People keep forgetting that Brad Grey was an equal partner with Brad in Plan B. Finding movie roles for X was an offshoot of the company NOT the main focus. X and the media are the ones who keep saying that Plan B was started to get her movie projects. Brad didn’t object to her looking over the scripts that they were interested in, but it was never Brad’s intent that they only produce movies for themselves. The media has misrepresented Plan B from the outset and of course now people assume it’s gospel when it’s not.

At the time the rags & the media were spinning this tale Charlie & The Chocolate Factory was already in production, Brad Grey was acquiring the rights to “Infernal Affairs” which became “The Departed”. They also had “Troy”,”Running With Scissors” and a few other projects there clearly not meant for X. Even though they knew the truth the rags/media never did anything to correct their lies and so now everytime someone mentions a Plan B project they assume that it was destined to be X’s star turn.

It’s really weird how Tom Cruise looks much younger than Brad now. Isn’t he older? But I was just lurking on his thread and maybe because of his bangs or what, but he does look younger than Brad. The way the INDUSTRY views you and the way the PUBLIC views you are almost opposites. Many people keep forgetting that acting is an industry with unions just like any other professiion. Just like they give out acting awards, I’m sure there’s a trucking awards, a food service awards, teaching awards, etc..given out annually.

If the industry respects you, you will always find work despite the “I don’t get the hype” read often just about everywhere. The hype is that they do good work.

Brad was nominated for an oscar for 12 monkeys. Many, including Matt Damon, said Brad should have been nominated for Snatch. He was very good in Babel, and he has won an award already for jesse james.

Brad has been doing very good work IN SPITE OF THE MEDIA, who prefers to sell Brad as just a heartthrob.

does it seem to anyone else that Brad may want to settle down and Angie is the one that wants to keep on moving? Take NOLA for example, he really seemed content there, and seemed sincere about contributing to the rebuilding efforts. I seem to even recall some photos of him with a hammer in his hand, working side by side with others and it didn’t have the feel of just another photo-op. I think that he’s ready to settle down somewhere, anywhere, put down roots and raise the family but follows her around the globe out of a sense of obligation, or maybe he just doesn’t want to say no to her?

Didn’t you leave the ‘Amos’ out of your name? Denzel, W.Smith, TomH
and definitely TomC have all had interchangeable film roles where they’ve mostly played the same characters over and over and over again. Denzel I have to say is quilty of this in numerous roles. Brad is one of the actors I admire who does not do this. They may not all be Oscar caliber performances but neither does he play the same roles over and over again. Think about that the next time you try to pigeon hole someone.
