Brad & Angelina are Producing Partners

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie maybe be life partners but you can add producing partners to the list now too!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brad and Angelina will make their first joint producing effort with a series project at HBO.

The Bourne Ultimatum co-writer Scott Burns is penning the untitled drama, which will explore the behind-the scenes politics of an international aid organization and chronicle the lives of humanitarian workers assigned to dangerous zones and the people in need they assist.

Brad, Angelina and Burns, producer of the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, are executive producing. Angie’s longtime manager, Media Talent Group’s Geyer Kosinski, serves as co-executive producer.

The trade says the series has been a passion project for Ange since she did the 2003 feature Beyond Borders, a drama about disaster-relief workers in war-torn countries.

Hopefully their next project will have them starring alongside each other in a film again!

They are life partners in raising their children. That won’t change. Brad has no children with aniston. That is the difference. The connection will still be there even if they separate which is improbable because they complement each other.

although it is hard to accept but they are good together.

this is great news:!: wish the best for them in this new venture :-)

This is really good and lovely that Brad is helping angie to do her dream series.

BTW he knows more about producing than angie and good for angie to have him by her side.they complete each other.

GOD BLESS THEM AND THEIR LOVELY CHILDREN.

Jolie, Pitt have aid for HBO series

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are making their first joint producing effort with a series project at HBO.

“The Bourne Ultimatum” co-writer Scott Burns is penning the untitled drama, which will explore the behind-the scenes politics of an international aid organization and chronicle the lives of humanitarian workers assigned to dangerous zones and the people in need they assist.

Jolie, Pitt and Burns, producer of the Oscar-winning documentary “An Inconvenient Truth,” are executive producing. Jolie’s longtime manager, Media Talent Group’s Geyer Kosinski, serves as co-executive producer.

The series has been a passion project for Jolie since she did the 2003 feature “Beyond Borders,” a drama about disaster-relief workers in war-torn countries.

Since 2001, Jolie has been a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations’ refugee agency, traveling to hot zones to help people displaced by wars and natural disasters.

Jolie and Pitt are active humanitarians. Through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation, launched a year ago, they have supported a number of international aid organizations, including Doctors Without Borders and Global Action for Children, which each received a $1 million donation.

The aid workers series marks Jolie’s return to HBO 10 years after her breakthrough starring role in the cable network’s biopic “Gia,” which earned her a Golden Globe win, a SAG Award and an Emmy nomination.

Pitt already is in business with HBO. Along with Edward Norton, he is executive producing the HBO/National Geographic miniseries “Undaunted Courage,” now in development. Michelle Ashford is penning the 10-hour miniseries based on the book by Stephen F. Ambrose, which tells the story of the legendary journey across the Western U.S. by explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark in the early 1800s.

Jolie most recently starred in the feature “A Mighty Heart,” about the kidnapping and murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Danny Pearl. Pitt was a producer on “Heart.”

Burns’ directing debut, “Pu-239,” which he also wrote, is slated to premiere Nov. 17 on HBO. He recently penned a feature adaptation of Kurt Eichenwald’s novel “The Informant,” which is slated to begin production early next year with Steven Soderbergh attached to direct and Matt Damon to star.

Film festival to honor Jolie for role in ‘A Mighty Heart’
By Brett Johnson (Contact)
Sunday, October 21, 2007

Angelina Jolie will receive the Outstanding Performance of the Year Award at the upcoming Santa Barbara International Film Festival for her turn in “A Mighty Heart,” festival organizers have announced.

Jolie starred as Mariane Pearl, the wife of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, in “A Mighty Heart,” which was based on Mariane Pearl’s same-titled book about her husband. He was kidnapped and killed by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002 while pursuing a story involving a shoe bomber and al-Qaida.

Festival director Roger Durling said he was pleased to honor Jolie for “what is arguably one of the most extraordinary female roles of the year.” She will get the award Feb. 2.

She previously won an Oscar for her supporting role in “Girl Interrupted.” She also starred with companion Brad Pitt in “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” She will appear in the upcoming film “Beowulf” and is slated to be in Clint Eastwood’s “The Changeling.”

Earlier this month, festival organizers announced that Cate Blanchett will receive the Modern Master Award, the event’s highest honor, on Jan. 26. Blanchett won an Oscar for her turn as Katharine Hepburn in “The Aviator” and currently stars as Queen Elizabeth I in “Elizabeth: The Golden Age.” Her other credits include “Babel” and “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

The 23rd annual Santa Barbara festival will take place from Jan. 24 to Feb. 3. It sits amid the fervor over Oscar nominations and the Academy Awards show itself and typically attracts Hollywood A-listers. Past honorees have included George Clooney, Will Smith, Helen Mirren, Jodie Foster, Leonardo DiCaprio and Diane Keaton.

Actor DON CHEADLE attended a special New York screening tonight of the documentary ‘Darfur Now,’ and talked to ET about the involvement of his fellow celebs, GEORGE CLOONEY, BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE.

The theatrical film, which will open in New York and Los Angeles on November 2, explores the continued conflict in Sudan through the experiences of six people, including Cheadle, who told ET, “It’s great to be able to get involved and hopefully see some positive results. The people of Darfur need it.”

Cheadle discussed his famous friends who are also supporting the project, and mentioned that he was meeting Clooney later in the evening to discuss their next socially conscious project. “We’ve both been doing things in different ways,” he said of Clooney. “We’re continuing to find ways to use [our celebrity] for [causes like these].”

And when asked if rumors of an ‘Ocean’s 14′ were true, Cheadle replied, “No, it’s not!”

Pitt and Jolie, who attended a screening of ‘Darfur Now’ last month at the United Nations, have also come out in support of the movie. Cheadle said he’s happy to see them involved. “It’s not just lip service, they’ve been doing stuff like this for awhile,” he said.

You are wrong as soon as you say ‘nobody’ or ‘everybody!’ Speak only for yourself.

It sounds like a wonderful project. Now we will see some or many of those humanitarian workers who do so much to help people in need.
‘Beyond Borders’ was such an interesting and sad movie.

Thanks JJ. A great way to start my morning. Love the Jolie Pitts. They really are great together. They will win the nay sayers over. They are both blessed with a godness that can not be taken away from them.
