Hairspray Cast @ Hollywood Awards 2007
The Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Awards honored the cast of Hairspray with the “Hollywood Ensemble Acting of the Year Award” — Nikki Blonsky, Elijah Kelly, Brittany Snow, Amanda Bynes and John Travolta. (Zac Efron has his own entry from the from red carpet.)
John Travolta was honored with the “Hollywood Supporting Actor of the Year Award.” Craig Zadan and Neil Meron received the “Hollywood Producers of the Year Award.”

Narf, I am concerned when people think there is something cool about being vulgar. They want attention I know but is that really the attention that someone wants? Apparently these kind of people have never gotten the right kind of attention in their lives.
Also, for Zac I know he has made comment about Nikki being like a sister to him. I can understand that. They are around the same age and exposed to all the newness of becoming a celebrity which I’m sure must be overwhelming. He seems fine when he is in group photos but I think he finds it uncomfortable at times when he is paired up with just Nikki—or even Janet Jackson. He has learned enough at this stage to know that those kinds of photos are what starts the gossip mill running and he doesn’t want to be part of it. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t like Nikki or isn’t impressed with Janet Jackson’s career, it’s just he isn’t comfortable with being set up for the gossip machine to make him part of their plan.
I agree Karen. That is exactly the impression I get. That line of thinking may also be why he might have shown a little more PDA lately.
I agree with what you said about the vulgarity a well.
Thankfully there are people like you in this world who are working to change that.
I myself know alot of teenagers through the kids I used to be a nanny for. Luckily to my former charges and their friends I am seen as a voice of reason and not the enemy, so there have been situations I was able to talk them out of.
It is not easy.

u guys r so rude to nikki shes big and beautiful so am i. and shes truly a role model. and nikki is a sweet person the only stuck up person there is in zacs life is vanessa seriously u guys need to stop. also ik nikki isnt trying to steal zac seriously. i think she may like him and i say the same for zac ik he likes her too!! but u guys need to grow up with the fat jokes shes Fabulous And Thick!! i dont think she needs to lose a pound!!
Anna, while it great that you defend Nikki, please do not do so by insulting Vanessa. She has never done anything to you or Nikki, just like Nikki has never done anything to those who trash her here.
Both Nikki and Vanessa are sweet and beautiful young women who should not be judged by anyone but themselves.
