There are some articles saying that any movie that is not in production by Oct 31 will not go forward as writers will not be available for any needed rewrites or script changes. That may be why Clint E is working so quickly on The Changeling, filming as quickly as possible even for him. I did not realize that writers must make script changes, thought the director, actors, or producers could also. The last strike lasted 6 months.

oh jared,post them pls.

Eewww! This is not a good look for her. Her usual cartoonish features look even more ridiculous in those period costumes.

++++++++++++++

I was just gonna say the same thing about you. The difference between you and Angie, though, is that Angie’s getting paid $17.5MIL to look “ridiculous”. You’re ridiculous for free. Now…who’s more ridiculous?

Billy is a BG at work guarding Angie. He had better be doing his job, he does not need to be smiling. Mickey did not smile either. The kids have been seen playing with both Mickey and Billy, which is a sign that they are good with the kids. It is sort of sad that both Angie and Brad now have to have personal BGs at work, but it is better to be as safe as possible than sorry later.

A PICTURE OF MEGAN FOX BEFORE SHE GOT SURGERY TO COPY ANGELINA

++++++++++++++

A big thanks to whoever posted this link! I’m ROTFL because I KNEW those lips were fake! I saw another photo from high school where she had mousy brown hair, too, so the hair color in the link above isn’t real either! I guess Megan Fox is an example of all those girls going to plastic surgeons and saying they want to look like Angelina Jolie. Check out her pix that Jared put up yesterday. I posted a message on that thread that MF must have every movie Angie ever did and every photo ever taken of Angie because she’s STOLEN everything…including this pose…

Hey there!! State Of Play’s production started in Oct.22 and the shooting will start around midd November. So I guess it will be completed before the strike.

Alexanderina @ 10/23/2007 at 9:08 pm

Thanks KK1 and oh man that really sucks, and I did not realize that either. The studios etc better come up with a good offer to stop the writers from going on strike. Do you know when State of Play start filming? And I wonder how long it will take to film The Changeling. I think I read some where that Clint likes to work quickly.

I remember a couple of months ago. I think it was guli’s birthday. People were sending their happy birthday wishes to her. One of the trolls made the statement that it was sad that a person had to depend on strangers on the internet to wish them happy birthdays. I don’t know about anyone else, but well wishes from anyone is always welcomed. Yes most of us are strangers with only are appreciation and respect for the jolie/pitts is common. But this commonality is not just limited to the jolie/pitts. There is also an appreciation of life, for ourselver and others. That is why we can step outside of ourselves and wish others wellness, safeness, happy birthdays, and get well for childrens, and prayers when someone close dies. There are some who are close and talk or meet off blog. Put the vast majority of us are stranger who have come together because we share a common belief and respect for two people and their four children. We I ache and need prayers. Or if one of my daughters is ill and need prayers, please be advised I will call on my cyber friends her at JJ and ask for your prayers. Strangers taking the time to wish someone well is the best wish of all. Because those of us who aren’t friends off blog only have what someone tells us about themselves. And people aren’t always honest. But if they are still willing to wish you well accept it. For they could be wishing you harm. Peace :smile:

Oprah Lands atop Influential List

Oprah Winfrey’s empire includes a hit show, a magazine, radio series and a Broadway musical. It’s no wonder when you poll the public to see which celebrities wield the most influence, she tops the list.

According to Encino, Calif.-based E-Poll Market Research, which ranks almost 3,000 celebrities on 46 different personality attributes, 54% of the U.S. population would use the term “influential” to describe Winfrey. (To put that in perspective, the overall average is 11% on the firm’s Celebrity Influence Index.)

Others who command the U.S.’s utmost trust and attention include Angelina Jolie, George Clooney and Madonna. And while the public may know little more about them than the roles they play on screen, the 15 stars on our list have proved that, in addition to bright flashbulbs and big paychecks, fame breeds power.

Exposure accounts for a lot of the pull that celebrities have, says James Houran, a psychologist who researches celebrity worship. The theory: Exposure leads to familiarity, which breeds comfort, trust and ultimately power and influence. Whether or not that logic explains why these folks landed on our list, the almost-constant airtime can’t hurt. Winfrey, for example, has topped three other Forbes lists this year: The Richest Women in Entertainment, the Most Powerful Celebrities and TV’s Top Earners.

Consider Michael Jordan. Images of “His Airness” bombarded the public for decades, from the sports world to the advertising world, thanks to endorsement deals with Coca Cola (nyse: KO - news - people ), Nike (nyse: NKE - news - people ), Fruit of the Loom and McDonalds (nyse: MCD - news - people ). The result: Though Jordan hasn’t played professional basketball for years, he nabbed a third-place finish on our list.

Also working in their favor: good looks. (Hey, they couldn’t hurt, right?)

“Personal charisma, good looks and poise are now prerequisites for leadership, and for who it is we’re going to admire,” says Jake Halpern, author of Fame Junkies: The Hidden Truth Behind America’s Favorite Addiction. It’s a shift he attributes to the increasing power of visual media.

People tend to subconsciously equate what’s pretty with what’s good, echoes Houran. As a result, pretty people are presumed to be good people in Western societies. What’s more, they attribute all sorts of other positive characteristics–likeability, success and honesty–to these folks, whether they deserve it or not, in what is often referred to as the “halo effect.”

“It’s a self-fulfilling prophesy, because then we start to give preferential treatment in everyday life to people who are physically attractive,” he explains.

Take Jolie. Undeniably attractive, the actress is almost automatically perceived as intelligent, sincere and influential, as well, according to Houran. She’s No. 7 on the list.

And all of the stars on our list know how to use their power. U2 front man Bono is a good example–the boldface artist came in second. He dedicates grand sums of time and money to debt relief in Africa, focused specifically on raising awareness about the region’s AIDS epidemic and what he considers unfair trade rules.

In addition to being granted an honorary knighthood by the U.K., Bono’s efforts earned him a Person of the Year title from Time magazine in 2005 and a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006. (Full disclosure: Bono is a partner at Elevation Partners, a partial owner of Forbes Media LLC.)

George Clooney is yet another example. Just last year, the actor-turned-activist traveled with his journalist father to the Sudan’s Darfur region to document the genocide there. Upon returning, he appeared with Nobel Prize winner Elie Wiesel before the United Nations Security Council, where they appealed for intervention in the devastated area.

“These people aren’t just showing up at the charity events and making big donations,” says Halpern of the increasingly active cadre of charitable stars. “They’re actually spearheading efforts and becoming the CEOs of philanthropy.”
