I love these pictures because it shows that Drew does not have a perfect body and she doesn’t care and she’s not trying to be perfect.

No human being is perfect, from contorted noses, rickety-style legs, mis-shapen lips, weird skinny looking & bony thighs, cellulite, the list goes on and on, NO ONE is perfect, EVERYONE has a deformity[internal or external] and it says a lot about you as an individual if you’re willing to admit/accept/show your imperfections for all to see. It is time people stopped looking at photoshopped magazine covers thinking that the pictures on the covers of their favorite celebs are indeed reality. This is what is wrong with the world today, no wonder children grow up with self-esteem and image problems.

She is so beautiful. I love her style and how she seems real and down to earth.

She is beautiful she is fabulous she is a woman not a Beverly Hills mannequin. The way she moves the expressions on her face she looks just like Edie. She will be terrific.

This makes no sense casting-wise…Little Edie was 57 when the Health Department thing went down in 1974/75, the documentary that introduced us to the eccentricities of Little Edie was made in 1976 (she died at age 80 in 2002), Big Edie was 80-ish (Jessica is how old?). The hit Broadway play Grey Gardens had actress’s who were close to those ages play those ages …I don’t get it…Unless they are doing a totally new angle where each character is MUCH younger, like 20 years before Grey Gardens…otherwise, Drew is TOO young and not skilled enough to pull off Little Edie’s accent and her mannerisms..I mean Little Edie was NUTS, I don’t see Drew being able to pull her nuerotic, paranoid and child-like ticks off. She could barely do an english accent in that Cinderella thing she did..”just breath”…oh whatever…love Drew though.
If you haven’t seen Grey Gardens or the follow up to it (the doco that shows all of Little Edies ripped and torn up creations plus more of the poor house that was barely standing) PLEASE rent it, absolutely amazing.

I’d also like to point out that Little Edie had to wear headscarves ALL THE TIME because she either had lost all her hair naturally or she had pulled it out in clumps herself because of her neurosis. Drew has a full head of flowing hair here…this should tell us alot about what direction they are exploring with the film, probably the time that Little Edie had to move back to Grey Gardens to take care of her mother when her mother didn’t want to be alone, which is the time that Little Edie gave up her life for her mother and subsequently became “eccentric” and “a staunch character”….if you haven’t seen the documentary RENT IT NOW!!!

I don’t know why some people seem to have so much difficulty grasping the fact that this film is about the decades leading up to the raid and the Maysles documentary. Edie wasn’t born 56 and bald you know she had hair we’ve seen pictures of it. I doubt that Drew would have the role if she can’t do the accent she knows there are a lot of dedicated Edie fans out there I think she’ll do just fine.

We’ll just have to keep an open mind I’m sure that the subject is an inspiration to her and she’ll do good work. This is unlike anything she’s ever done before. People who are fond of Edie really should be encouraging and positive not picking away at Drew.
